You saved this single mom a lot of frustration and money. Thank you for doing this video!!❤❤❤
You're welcome!
It still might take me 6 hours but I will never fail with these instructions.
Now the world just needs this man to make how to videos on everything. Best how to video ever.
Thank you!
All manufacturers should look to this as an example of how to make a repair instructional video. Fantastic... Ol Sarge...
Very well explained. Thank you. I was able to (as a woman😂) by myself with help from this video, take apart my washer to remove the seal. I put it back on and put my washer back together and my washer works wonderfully. Thank you!
just saw the video.
my wife wanted me to just clean the seal so I thought no problem i will open the door, pull off seal, wash it and put back !
hats off for you doing this ... i will wash the seal with it on the washer!!!
@@rxb364 hopefully you never remove the seal just to clean it.
Wtf? As a woman?
Am I somehow less capable of doing this task bc I have a vagina?
Please reconsider making ignorant comments like this.
This video was very informative and as a woman myself I must say it was thoroughly explained. However, I still don’t know if I wanna tackle this by myself.
I also used this to take out an old moldy seal and install a new one successfully. So much gratitude for making and sharing this video!
You're welcome!
Older Model Owners here are some notes. I followed the directions in the video (excellent) for my 15 years old Samsung washing machine. I did have to add some extra steps, importantly I had to remove the bottom rust color stone piece (using 1/2 inch ratchet) to get the gasket in place over the lip at the bottom (7 min mark of video) as there is not enough of a gap to install without removing the stone. Also with the top panel I removed the 4 easy attachments and kept the ones on the long black cable connected, leaving the top panel on top of the machine. I also had to disconnect the detergent draw screw to allow the top panel to be removed since the lip was in the way. I also re-attached the door switch harness, to the front panel with the panel on the bottom tabs before screwing in the front panel. You can tell if you have the same model I worked by seeing the rust stone on the bottom, in the video they are on the side. It took me 3 hours, including prep, cleaning during the project, and putting everything back in place.🙂
Your comment just saved me from calling in a handyman 🙏 I couldn’t get that stupid gasket to fit over the lip and was ready to give up, and then I saw this comment
You have explained each step easily to understand and practice.
Thank you so much
You're welcome!
Great informative video! How do you keep this rubber door seal clean? Ours constantly get black spots and dirty like mildewy stuff. It’s gross and I tried many things. About to order a new one which is how I found this video
Putting this here in case anyone else finds it helpful. I found a lot of success by making sure I leave the door open to dry after using, and every time I put a new load in I use one of the clothes I'm washing to give the seal a quick wipe to make sure any dirt isn't collecting. Then, it's also important to check the drain holes at the bottom of the seal and keep them clear of hairs and debris.
I also use the drum self clean cycle about once every other month.
I just completed mine, took me 3 hrs with a few interruptions.
2 things to note; when removing the front panel of my machine I discouvered that there were 2 screws on the very bottom edge, they went through the metal "tabs", there are 3 tabs along the bottom but only 2 had screws...tough to reach as they face down, had to tilt/block the machine back at a steep angle. You cant get the front panel off without removing them.
The other item is that the "control panel", has plastic "tabs" I broke one off so be careful leaning that part back while you unhook the wire harnesses.
this vid was great, I wouldnt have attempted this without it!!
If there is anything we can help you with at all please let us know.
Your video was by far the best one out there because of the clear and detailed commentary on every step you did. That's the key to these how to's that many videos miss. Now I am confident to attempt this job. Thank you and much appreciated.
Saved me a couple hundred dollars by purchasing the part and fixing myself!! Thank you for your super easy to follow instructions!
he model wasjer I have is slightly different, there are two screws undeneath to remove ! The video really did help me work through all this, started at 9:30 and was done by noon.
Thumbs Up.
KJ
Glad you were able to fix your issue! If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
Great video. I didn't have the same model Samsung, but with some slight adjustments to the directions, everything went together smoothly. Thank you.
YOU ARE MY HERO ❤ TYSM for this wonderful video. I mean I feel like I just went through a training course and I feel like a professional now 😅 Def a new subscriber here 🥰🥰🥰
You are very welcome. If there is anything we can help you with in the future please let us know.
I was able to fix my washer in just over an hour. Thanks for the step by step, saved me hundreds.
Does it cost hundreds in labor to have this replaced?
@Mike OMG First, did not say $50, but hundreds. You are right about expensive repair for just a seal. Quote was $370, more if problems with door. Half the price of replacing same washer, so purchased new appliance with warranty. Shows you not that effortless by your comment!
Great video! Clear and concise instructions, with a thorough follow through from start to finish. Thank you so very much for making this. You are going to save us DIY'ers so much money.
This is a great video but watch it a couple times and make sure to keep it handy when working on your machine. I actually had 7 connections in my control panel. I ended up just laying it on the top of the machine. I also had to remove the weights from the drum to unscrew the nut on the ring around the gasket. It all worked but took me about 2.5 hours.
This is fantastic thank you for the great video and detailed steps. I was able to replace my boot that was leaking.
Thank you so much for making this video!! Easy to follow and stress free. Cheers!
You're welcome!
Awesome walk through! I have now been able to replace the seal and I also followed another of your videos to replace the heating element on my dryer. Couldn't have done it with a minimum of frustration if not for your easy to follow instructions . Thanks!
You're welcome! I'm so glad to hear our videos helped you with your repair.
Outstanding instructional clarity. Bravo!
Thank you!
What a great video, step by step explanation and everything! I just finished the job on a Samsung washer Model WF331ANW/XAA. Even though on my model, I had four screws (not 2) on the bottom of front panel in the filter well, and forward spring clamp was located on the side, no on the bottom, as well as the inner clamp was on the 9:00 o'clock position, the institutions helped me a lot. The only challenge was loosening/tightening the inner clamp bolt (the mounting blocks of the tub were on my way, so I ended up using a 90 degree screw driver and a crescent wrench (since I could not fit a socket there). Thank you so much!
Did you follow all the make sures? No problems following the complicated steps, at least to me?
Thank you for the video. Repaired my washer in about an hour and saved me about $200. Legends.
Thanks! Helped to replace door on BubbleWash 7.5. Didn't remove the door completely but left it hanging down resting with the open door on the ground. Also removed the two white plastic lugs mid way on the front as couldn't get the door back on. Had the most difficulty getting the seal over the plastic lip on the inner drum - another video said to use dish washing detergent to ease it in, which helped. Once you've got the hang of pushing the seal over the lip it slides in nicely to a tight fit. Strangely satisfying to close the door onto the brand new seal :)
Extremely well done DIY! This really helps walk through all the steps to get this job done. Thank you!
You're welcome!
Great video -- exactly what I needed. Saved me at least $150 in labour and another $50 in mark up on the part.
Glad the video helped you out!
my speediest appliance repair yet. thanks! the newer models have a different electronics panel. i has to revive the soap dish receiver
So far so good.
I ran into a problem taking the front frame off...mine was held together at the bottom of washing machine by 2 screws.
Overall, very well done & detailed.
I had watched a couple of other videos on this by different people & yours was by far the best!
Thank you so much for your help 😅
If you need help with anything please let us know.
@@appliancepartspros Thank you.
I was able to take it apart & put in a new one.
Just waiting on the new outer securing ring with the spring.
Do you think it'd be alright to use the machine once or twice while I am waiting on that piece?
We wouldn't advise using the machine until you get that ring. If the gasket isn't secured it can leak and you could have water all over the floor.
Awesome! I probably saved $200 watching your video. Easy to follow step by step guidance. Those clamps tried to make it hard. Took me about 35 mins to complete. Thanks!
I agree, well explained. I also appreciated the added clarifications around some techniques to use.
Helped alot.. minor issues in the way because of different model but same concept and got her done! Thanks you
You're welcome! A single part can be compatible with hundreds of different appliances. We film the part on a single appliance model to serve as an example of the repair, but there may be slight variations in the process for different models. Still, we're glad it was helpful!
That's doc! Very wel done! Fixed my washer with no issues ... currently running a cleaning cycle!
This video is perfect for fixing an issue yourself. Much appreciated
Wow, loud and clear, sir! Should be teaching craftmanship at trades uni. Posts of kudos.
Excellent ! Not a handyman, but very well explained after 3 hours , all fixed and no leaks! Love the tips along the way!
Thank you
Excellent video as usual. I always go to Applicance Parts Pros for help on repairing household appliances. Your videos are alwasy accurate, complete and concise!
Thanks for the video we just bought a new home and the gasket in the washer was disgusting. I took it off using these instructions and washed it. Was a bit harder for me since my model had some sort of insulation that made really hard to get to the inner clips screw! But I managed to get it done.
I watched other videos on the same issues, yours was by far the best. Thank you!
What a great video. It does not get better than this. THANK YOU. You have a new customer
Great video! Saved me a lot of money and finished in under an hour. Thank you for posting.
Holy crap that’s a lot of work. This is the best video demonstration though! Great work! I’m not replacing mine, I can live with the mold marks 😢
Great video. My seal is too dirty to clean with it installed, going to take it off and scrub it or order a new one if they aren’t too expensive (haven’t checked yet).
If there is anything we can help you with please let us know.
This is the perfect example of how a DIY or repair video should be done. Kudos!
this is great clip. THANK YOU guys for putting such a fantastic simple to follow step by step repair video!
Awesome video. Changed out my stinky moldy seal for a new clean one. Was very easy.
That's great! We're glad we could help.
Thanks Matt. Thoroughly and meticulously explained.
Thank you very much for posting this video it was thorough and precise I probably would’ve been completely lost if I hadn’t watched it thank you
Thank you! This will be very helpful when I have my door seal replaced. I was actually thinking I would need a new washer. But thanks to research and your video, problem solved and costs
Thank you! This video was tremendously helpful. 😃
You're welcome!
Tremendous Help THANK YOU Its running so far no leaks....
You are welcome! Glad we were able to assist you!
I just replaced the door gasket on my daughter-in-laws Samsung washer. The video was close enough and informative, thank you. I ran into a snag pulling the front door cover off as there were screws in the bottom flanges. I had to tip the washer up 45 degrees in order to remove them. The screws were missing in the bottom left filter cover?
THANK YOU for providing this excellent instructional video. I likely could not have made this repair without it.
With the new style Samsung Front Loaders, there are two small screws in the bottom of the front cover; preventing you from just lifting up and pulling the front cover off the machine. The screws are installed in the very bottom on the underside of the front cover that makes it impossible to access. Why Samsung did this is beyond me.... I really do appreciate your video!
Thank you so mate! Very helpful.
My washer varies a little from your video nonetheless same concept. Got her done!
Thanks again.
Mate, your video just helped me do this on my Samsung. Really great video, thank you so much!!!! Much respect 👍🏼
12:19 this finally worked! Thank you
Saved me $500. Thanks very much
Excellent video! I have a newer model washer that had 7 wire harness connectors and 2 extra screws on the bottom of the front panel but no big deal. Worked great.
Thanks so much for a very well produced video. Just ordered the part from you.

This guy should be a teacher! Very specific instructions.
We're happy we could help!
You saved my life lol man I was struggling
Thank you!
Excellent video with detailed instructions no issues
Fantastic instructional video
You are welcome. Glad the video was able to assist you!
I tell you the truth about Duck tape. It works for everything! Lol. I could not afford the actual replacement yet and am amazed that $5 tape is holding. But yes your last video easily got me through.
with the right tool i can do this for a living
The seal got caught in the clothes causing the outer clamp to come off, I hope I can reposition it, appreciate the video.
If there is anything we can help you out with please let us know.
If this old house did this video, they would just say “ take the door off, change the seal and you’re done😂😂
Thank you so much! Great video! God bless you
thanks for the part and the video help, it's plugged back in and working....
Thanks for the video. Wouldn’t have been able to do this without it. Took me much longer than I thought. My biggest issue was getting the control panel off. It got stuck in the soap dispenser side. I would suggest that if you get stuck getting it off, try disconnecting the dispenser for the inside. Mine only had one screw and made getting the panel back in was a snap.
Glad we could help. Thanks for that tip!
Thank you. This was very very helpful, clear and informative. Thank you
What a great video, thanks for taking the time to put this together and post it.
Awesome video although not sure if it's just because it's a new factory seal boot but after first run it smells like rubber burning not too bad but obvious was thinking it was just cuz it's new
Great video and walkthrough. Replacing the clamp took a few tries, but ultimately worked. Saved a bunch of time and money.
Once you watch this video, you should be able to replace the door boot seal on your washer. I need to order mine so I can install it once I watch this video one more time. Thanks!
This video is so well done that it gave me the confidence to get the tools to do it myself. Silly questions from an absolute 1st timer:
1) how do I know if I need to replace it
2)are all the screws the same all around or do I need to worry about keeping each one separate?
3)Same question about the big wire clamps: is the spring on the front one that you pointed out also there on the back one?
There should be a few screws at least that are different so its important to keep track of where they go.
Excellent how to video, Great Job!
Thank you for your feedback! We're glad to hear you found it helpful.
Absolutely the best video ever!
Fantastic step by step video
Your video was extreamly helpful.. great content.
Great video, thank you.
Exceptionally well described, thanks for posting!
Glad we could help!
Fantastic video, thank you!
You're welcome!
About to do this. Thanks soo much for the video
You are welcome! Let us know how the repair went!
Thank you, for this "Easy to Follow, Very Helpful Video!😎"
Easy to follow?!
This video is amazing - incredibly thorough - saved me 100s of $$$ - thank you!
You're welcome! We're glad we could help you save all that $$$.
100's in labor for this? If so, buying a new machine.
Thank you. This was extremely insightful.
Solid walkthrough!
Great video! Taught me to never buy one of these pieces of garbage ever again!
Does the seal need to be out of box for awhile.
It took my repairman 2 hours. Ugh! And I think it still isn’t right. It’s not tight to the plastic rim.
Thanks awesome video!
Great video!
Thank you!
So clearly and excellent.
very helpful Thanks!!!
Recently replaced our door boot seal as water was visibly dripping from the outside bottom of the door. Installed step by step and now I’m getting a leak during fill up, underneath the drum, directly under the boot seal. Checked all hoses, drain pump hoses cleaned, no visible leaks from the top inlet valves. I’m going to retrace my steps before I call a technician, but would the boot allow water to drip out of the drum? Just trying to think if it’s the boot or possibly the outer tub seal. (Which I’m hoping it isn’t). Great tutorial!
Interesting. My 10 year old machine with original seal is rusting in the same spot. Good to know.
Great video, changed my gasket and the drum hits the gasket...any suggestions?
You guys are awesome. Thanks for the great work
What else should I typically check while I'm in there, ie: springs or balancing parts. Is there anpother video for a deep clean of the drum or the rim around the drum
Thanks so much.
