Hi Sean! I'm so happy for you acquiring this wonderful Comic Book Collection. Luv seeing you so happy. Regards to sweet Allison. Also, thanks for putting aside the Pop for me. I picked it up & purchased 2 more. 👍🥳
Loved seeing the old Wilburs and even some of the new stuff. I heard the Koch warehouse was closing sometime soon. Heard any details on when that might be happening? It's a shame but nothing lasts forever.
Sean good grabs on the ALL STAR WESTERNs. I just grabbed my first one for $ 3 near Pittburgh, coming back from a Con. They also had some beat up SAVAGE SWORDs in g-vg shape, but low # issues...
Sean, alittle bit of info on your foriegn MOKFs... the cover with Shang Chi vs the big guy is Black Jack Tarr , so that's 17 and the Man-Thing one is 19 Paul Gulacy art. The FF ones may take a while to suss out. Loved the red Torch going Nova cover!! neat neat, neat!!
@@pop-comics Thank you very much. Indeed it is. They always have good value bins of everything and big key issues. I'll be getting a bit of everything. It's always exciting digging through all the books and meeting some cool comic writers there!
Everytime you pulled out one of those Wilbur’s from the old bags to examine the Katy Keene section of the book that had 2️⃣ pieces of tape - my heart almost stopped waiting for the tape to catch one of those covers.
I do not mean this in a condescending way at all, but when you get books for $1 at a local comic shop, and you say you can sell it for $3 or $4 or $15 in your shop, why do you think that is? Is it because you have a different clientele that comes in because you are not "just" a comic book store? Or do you think it is because you do not have as much stock for people to dig through so they are not intimidated? I am always curious when you say you can sell it for more, but you got it from a comic book store, not just a great garage sale, if that makes sense. Again, I am not trying to be condescending, genuinely curious on your opinion.
Totally understand the question, so a lot of shops just dump a ton of books into dollar bins and within the dollar bins there can be really nice stuff but also a ton of junk. You have to dig it might be every 50-100 books you find a book of value. So think of it like a gold mine vs a jewelry shop, you can find gold digging in the dirt and panning in the river. But most folks just wan to go to the Jewelry shop to find a nice refined piece. My shops is a pop culture junk store, but I sort things by character. So I have just spider-man books or just Batman books. So if someone wants Batman they can look through the 2-3 boxes I have out at a time and buy the ones they want. And they dont have to dig through 1990s image and valiant and other junk to find them. From my experience a lot of the people who go to the dollar bin drops are resellers, people looking for bargains to sell. They are collectors too but I see the guys selling at local conventions hitting the big dollar bin drops. Its all about curation. Also where I am located it is a pretty high foot traffic touristy spot with a dozen hotels within a few blocks. So I sell a ton of comics to people who are visiting NYC from out of country etc so a $3 Batman book is a cool thing to pick up as a souvenir etc. The folks who shop in my shop are less likely to be the same folks who go to the shops off the beaten path etc.
I love it when you show the interiors of the Katy Keene comics. Gorgeous artwork by the great Bill Woggon!
They are lovely!
Sean, congrats on getting so many cool books. Great haul to watch 👍🏻
Thanks a bunch! It was a fun one to film!
Always look forward to your videos & love seeing the international comics! Thanks for showing!
International books are always fun to me! Hopefully a ton more in the future. And you are very welcome.

25th anniversary border!!!! Just beautiful!!!! 🤩
Yeah I always liked those, very nostalgic for me. But having them on an international release is even more fun to me.

I think they are taking it one month at a time, but probably sometime this summer.

They are really fun, great art.
Nice haul! Also, I had some technical difficulties with uploading my video so it probably will be tomorrow or in the next few days when it comes out
It happens, I will look tomorrow.

Nice collection sir. That's gonna be me digging through the bins at comic con ontario this weekend 😂😂
Good luck, digging for comics is the best. I hope you find tons of treasure.

How did you possibly fund those Zatannas in the dollar bins. That is an amazing find.
Comic station often puts decent modern books in the their dollar bins, i think their focus is mostly on finding older grail comics.

Had to add some excitement to the comic bag removal!
Bought Creepy Worlds (Alan Class Comics) off the newsstand in the 1970s here in the UK. It was cheap filler reprints really.
Very fun. I love to hear personal histories of comic collecting. Thanks!
So many great comics! 🙂 Also, we need an extra shout out to Streetside Anthony. 👍
Always extra shout outs for Anthony.
Lucky Luke is a belgian comic book. One of the classics in Europe.
Very cool, thanks for the info.

Franke Thorne’s Red Sonja is under-appreciated as is Frank Thorne’s artwork as well.
I do really love that run of Red Sonja, just lovely artwork.

Today is national BBQ day and national mimosa day 😊😂😂😂😂😂😂
yum!
Love it, keep it up!
I have a ton more long haul videos to film so tons more incoming.
@@pop-comics Not that I was worried but thank u for confirmation tho
Pop most of your videos claim huge comic book buys so what do you do with those thousands of less than dollar value comics? Just curious.
I keep 1 of each, slowly sell off the duplicates.
