"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise." I do not speak a word of Cherokee, but I know the tune of these hymns by heart.

i’m proud to be a cherokee and my grandma teach me to sing in cherokee language. A Beautiful Life Roses never fade and I feel like traveling on three gospel songs i know to sing both in English and Cherokee. GWY Eastern Band of Cherokee is my home. Sgi From Cherokee NC. Actually i just now learned from my dad told me that i have relatives living in Oklahoma but idk if that’s true but i’m willing to see
I grew up in North Ga and in Baptist churches. Sang in a small quartet. We knew of a group that would go around and sing in Cherokee. Heard it a few times. The spirit flows in any language. My ancestry has Cherokee in it. Third great grandfather walked the trail of tears. I can’t help but think the singing went on the trail too.
Was brought up by the state and didn't even know my Dads family were Cherokee..just thought they all were better tanned lol had no ideal until I was in my teens
Hi I only found out this year who my dad this yr and he is part Cherokee. My mother died when I was 5 and I was brought up in Australia by strangers. I've been singing Cherokee songs for years and have had native American flutes since the nineties. Part of my soul. I am a soprano and am learning amazing grace in Cherokee now. Am also opera singer too as my mother was. Stay safe in USA,🙏
My family Toney's & Locust from Porum area and I always heard the Girty name, my Grandma & Grandpa Toney played the piano at Oakgrove Church for the Indians & whites that attended.
@@divine555 Osiyo is absolutely Korean vocabulary it could be meaning hello, hi, welcome, or greeting someone. I noticed first song they sang some words sounds like Korean language. If you can translate first song they sang, could you please post it? There are couple of ending phrases sounds so much like Korean language.
