It's not different verses, it is a medley of 5-6 different songs. Adam Chance has do a solo version of Leave Her, Johnny that is so amazing! It left me absolutely stunned.

Actually the Drunken Sailor part of this medley was extremely popular on TicTok and was used a lot by many people
Ubisoft heard their Sea Shanty Melody and loved it so they approached Home Free with an amazing opportunity to write a shanty for Skull And Bones video game.Chance ( first singer )loves sea shanties and everything to do with the sea and loves gaming so Chance being the seafaring member jumped at the opportunity.
They just released Your Man ( Josh Turner cover ) today

Well it’s a medley so not different verses but different songs. There are about 5 songs in this. Yes, this happened during Covid and they all did this at their own homes. It went viral and attracted Ubisoft the game maker to them. They asked them to write a shanty for their new game Skull and Bones. Check that out! Chance wrote it and it’s a banger! Tim (Jack Sparrow) is the bass and he was stellar in this. There’s a short live video of Skull and Bones for the Ubisoft crowd and you should hear Tim….he’s super low. Btw, in this video, Tim was standing in a boat outside so he didnt’ move much as he was afraid of falling out. Adam the beatboxer, was doing castanets!!! Great one Josh! And I Subscribed!☠🥰

They became experts at each doing their part from home for it to be put together for the video to be released! A couple other great ones are ‘Meet me in the Middle’, you should definitely watch ‘Quarantine’!
    Thanks for reacting to this!🏡🍟

I love this song and sea shanty’s in general. There’s a really cool movie called Fisherman’s Friends from Cornwall England. The movie was available on Netflix. It’s a true story about these fisherman in a small village that sing shanty’s while they fish and they are discovered by a record label in London. They get signed to a record deal. They have a few albums out and a lot of these songs are on it.

Great! Another great one to review is Down in the Boondocks/Fishing in the Dark. It’s an older one but they still do it in their live shows. It’s perfect for them.

It's a medley. It's multiple songs in one. Some of these songs are upwards to 300 years old

I learned Drunken Sailor in school in the 1950s. That's the only sea shanty I was familiar with. But the medley is fantastic.

They do gospel too. Check out the Children go where I send Thee featuring Kenny Rogers. Or How Great Thou Art. Or Amazing Grace featuring Peter Holland. If you want bass, Brothers in Arms, if you want fun, try Love Train. You can't really go wrong.

One thing that you find when you really start watching Home Free is that they don't take themselves over seriously. They certainly have the confidence to be silly.

How good are these guys? The fun & energy in this is infectious. This was done during quarantine so none of the guys were even together. The editing of this was great & was done in the Tik Tok style. Love all the guys parts, with Tim's rumbling bass underlying it all. And Adam's beatboxing is phenomenal as always including sea swells & castanets. Amazing how he increased the tempo from one song to another. They recently released a professional live recording of this medley.

Different songs and yes Adam Rupp is beyond good, Cassinettes and the sound of waves hitting the ship as well as keeping the beat.

Castanets?!!! How? That was 5 different sea shanty's, hence the medley in the title. Outstanding transitions and it just never get's old!

Yes, that was during the pandemic times and they had to do everything on their own. They've released a lot of awesome music during that time. And while they struggled at the beginning with their audio recording (hello, closets) they had to do alone, there was a lot fo cursing for the video shoots. Their most home-shot is Meet In The Middle. There was a lot of cursing involved. It's awesome, though. While they were planned by their videographers, they had to do everything alone. The BTS from that time period are hilarious.
It's acutally not one sea shanty, but different ones mashed together. The Wellermann (I think it's called) is probably the most known and they started the medley witht his one. And Tim's rumbling was very noticeable in this one. Have you reacted to Blue Ain't Your Color or Brothers In Arms yet? Lots of low notes in those, too. Or Down To The Honkeydonk (another pandemic-era video).

    It's not "a song." It's a medley of songs.

  • @leslieoneal4464
    @leslieoneal4464 Місяць тому +5

This is a MEDLEY - more than a few different songs (shanties, in this case) put together.
Îf your kids listened to "sea shanties" or "Wellerman" a few years ago, especially if on Tik Tok or if watching people dance to it online, Home Free's vocals may have been heard. 😉 A LOT of those videos actually used their vocals and either sang along or danced to it. There have been a few other versions of Wellerman done in the past few years, but only Home Free has done this medley. Look for their professionally recorded concert (live) version done late last year, I think. It's amazing! You can't beat the energy at a live concert!

If you liked this one you need to see them live. Sea Shanty LIVE. Almost all the live songs are ones that someone recorded on their cell phone and put it on You Tube. Quality is always bad. This live show was professional done and all live.

Didn't get to hear any of your talk before or after due to the music you had playing over your voice.
