- Hey guys! I finally decided to go Stage 2 on my S 550 and cannot thank the guys at G Exhaust and M-TECH Performance enough for the incredible job they did on my car! I had custom catless downpipes made by G Exhaust then I went to M-TECH Performance to have the car retuned with their Stage 2 tune w/ V2 burble along with K&N high-flow air filters. All of this really helps the car breathe better and the results were instantly noticeable. The best part is there is zero drone or smell inside the car and it is more fun than ever to drive!

Also, you might want to consider soon replacing the cooler lines for your turbo's they go bad and leak often after a while too
They upgraded them to the aluminum ones so they fixed that problem but he probably has the half metal half plastic ones

I just got a 2015 GL550. I’m still researching which engine it has… I believe it is the M278 but still trying to verify. I watched your video because I wanted to see what’s out there for performance upgrades in the Benz world. I’m liking what I’m seeing!!! 😎 First Benz

i went with kn air filters.... a must
strait piped it,
then i went with wider tires....
better handling.
u will notice a big diffrence
i havent even done the stage 2 tune yet
im runing with the srts now
they love alot of air.with less restriction

I Have a 2019 s 560 4 matic and have been debating on whether I should do a renntech tune for the hp, valves, air filters or keep it stock not to void my unlimited mile CPO warranty. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I havent seen any videos where specifically the 560 variant has been tuned. Is rentech the way to go? Is there other brands I should look into? Do I leave it stock. Great video !
If you want reliability and a warranty I definitely recommend RENNtech, and the 4.0L in the 560 is a great engine and makes really good power more than my 550 made and that was already a rocket ship

Hey man... I have a '15 S550 and am wondering if I should go stage 2... I'm hesitant because I intend on keeping the car a while and am wondering how reliable it would be with a stage 2 build. What are your thoughts? M278 is an incredible engine.
Didn’t have any issues at all and I just sold the car with 103k miles, power was great and fuel economy improved a bit too

As a current Scatpack Charger 392 owner Ill be honest and say that the Scatpacks all motor 6.4l sounds better than than the 6.2l supercharged Hellcats with exhaust mods. Both sound good dont get me wrong but the NA 6.4s just sound better with modded exhaust........oh and Im reason for watching your video is because im currently looking for an S550 or S63 AMG to replace my current 2020 Scatpack Charger.

no sir, sometimes it can be a really tight fit if they're not 2-piece downpipes but luckily on the S-Class there's tons of room, and I had my shop make me custom catless downpipes

What does a stage 2 S550 compete against on a roll or dig?
Not much really, it's a very heavy car, heavier than a Hellcat. It's AWD so from a dig you'll get a lot of people but they'll catch up quick. From a roll don't even bother

it's actually normal 15% ceramic tint over the standard S-Class windows, they have a special coating for UV rays/heat rejection
