    Thanks for taking time to make this video. I have been using dampner for my I phone 13 and its been great UNTIL recently shakes damaged the IS (image stabilizer sensor) I did 6500km long ride (mainly street riding) and camera started acting shortly after the trip. I was lucky that phone was still under warranty and Apple replaced camera at no cost. Hope this doesnt happen to any other rider. Ride Safe!

    Hey bro, crispy clean vid as always. So I'm very glad your phone is still doing good but for me I still can't afford the risk because there's no guarantee. I've seen multiple reviews that are like "hey, used the anti-vibe and it's still ruined my phone", and I'm on a sim-only contract so if my phone gets damaged it's on me to deal with it. If Quadlock was gonna pay to fix/replace a phone damaged while using the mount I'd be keen, because I would like to be able to bar mount my phone, but as they're not and it's just their word that it'll be fine I just don't have the pocket wads to take that chance.

    I don't understand one thing, but if this tool is supposed to avoid vibrations, why does the phone vibrate so visibly? What do I do with an object that vibrates so much if I can't use it as an example for GPS since it vibrates constantly? at this point isn't it better to use it only with the classic quadlock? At least this way it stays still and readable if you receive a notification or something

    • @JT7POV
      @JT7POV 9 місяців тому +1

      in my opinion it should work like a gimbal, that is, it attenuates vibrations and remains stable even at high speeds, to hold it and see it vibrate so much without being useful as a GPS or reading a notification you might as well keep it in your pocket..

      @@jaquesdaniels2964 I run Gaia GPS on my old iPhone Xs that I use strictly as a navigation tool. GPS units like the Tom Tom and Garmin are so hard to map things out with. I used a Garmin GPS for back-country backpacking for a few years until I found I could run Gaia GPS on my iPhone in airplane mode, and it would last for days. A phone has GPS on full-time and doesn't rely on a cell signal for it to work. It works just like a GPS in that regard. Navigating with a traditional GPS unit, marking waypoints and trying to create routes is so user unfriendly. Download the maps of the area you'll be in on your phone using any traditional navigation app and you have everything you need in an easier to use package. Most smart phones are waterproof nowadays too. Now that said, I wouldn't use my latest smartphone to do this. When I get a new phone I retire the old phone to become my dirt bike navigator.

    So there’s the question.
    Does the vibration dampener fit to a bike mount? Or is it only dedicated to motorbike mounts?
    I’d like to buy just one mount and use it on both.
    Thanks.

    I currently have a RAM mount. This has killed the camera on my iPhone twice. In addition to the vibration dampener, what else do I need to purchase to make this system work?

    • @oldmarty1206
      @oldmarty1206 2 роки тому

      Phone mount and phone case for your specific phone. Ebay the cheapest option! I just spent about 100$ after tax for all of it.
      With my last phone mount. My iPhone camera went wrong. Just got it replaced from Apple.

      It came with 3 different sizes but non of them work with my 2018 Harley fatbob.

    Quad lock damper still damages phones. I went back to a $15 ugly mount and it just works no damage. How can you trust this guy when he’s making money by providing paid links. Stop the BS.

    • @MotoFeelz
      @MotoFeelz  2 роки тому +2

      I’ve been using the dampener for over 1.5 years on an off road and my iPhone 11 has worked fine. Why would I use it if it didn’t work? I wish I could say I was making money from the link, instead I’m offering you a discount. If ugly works for you, then ugly it is ✌️

    • @real123

      @@MotoFeelz You should be apologising to people who will look at your video and then go and damage their phones because of it with no ability to get compensation, even under warranty. All the main manufacturer's now do NOT cover vibration damage under warranty as damage caused by mounting a phone to a bike is easy to identify due to the way the internal camera fails. And, let's insult people's intelligence by suggesting a discount code may not be linked to you with Quadlock, yeh right...
