I've had the T300 for several years, no issue with the plastic. The pedals are the weak point and the T3PM looks like a decent upgrade from what I have but I think I would spring for the load cell upgrade.
I own a T300, T248 and a T150. For me the T248 feels like a more powerful T150 which isn't a bad wheel. However the T300 in my opinion is much smoother better FFB and has the changeable wheels. If I was to keep One it would 100% be the T300.

Not an issue for people with sim rigs or wheel stands, but if you don't have a way to hard mount the pedals they'll flip forward as soon as you press the brake, and clutch at the same time lol. Also there is a firmware update that gives you more FFB options, and made the wheel feel better in races.
What an awesome wheel it would be with a loadcell included, if it just supported switching the rim with all the available wheels in the Thrustmaster eco system (especially the sf1000 wheel addon). Maybe some aftermarket add-ons will be available, like the g29 has
yeah definitely a huge mistake on their part. If it were to be able to be more customizable and compatible with the thrustmaster ecosystem, it would be a no brainer to get this over the logitech g923. Otherwise, its a tough sell, especially when you can get so many aftermarket mods on the logitech.

Very interesting if irrelevant (just to me) Review, Mike - given I already bought my G29 not that long ago. But this wheel raises a point about cars themselves in general that I have to this day, never really understood. I just was always DUMBFOUNDED why car makers would make their interiors this ugly single-tone dull blackish grey, when surely it would be just as easy to highlight different color-contrasts / options / combinations --- even if it was still all made of plastic or cheaper materials???
This is exactly my question too. Alsp, the price of the T248 appears to be within 50-100 CAD of the T300 GT (with 3 pedals) and I wonder how they compare... Regarding build quality, the G29 does seem to have a common problem with paddle shifters not registering sometimes. Mine started doing that in a bit over 2 years of light use, and I had to open it up and spray contact cleaner on the switch.
