Why do people spend time hating on this guys methods? He didn't say he was an expert, just how he like to grill his burgers.
🤔
Do you turn off the propane tank the minute you’re done grilling? Good video
It's recommended you leave it on on high about 5 minutes after to try and burn off as much of the fat as possible.
I have a gas grill also but get scared that the fire will be too much. is there anything i can do to make sure the fire doesn't get out of control while cooking?
Honestly, I rarely cook on it for the same reason. It seems even at the lowest setting, you're grilling at high temps. When i use it, I make sure to not leave because it tends to get too hot really fast. What I have done is not light up all the burners and rotate the meat so it is not under constant attack from the open flame. If you notice on the video, all my patties were on one side of the grill.
@@TheSmokingBeard after watching your video I ordered some ceramic flame tamers. I'm hoping that helps.
grill grates are awesome
Cheaper grills tend to flare up more than better grills. He was as close to having a grease fire here as you can get without actually having one. Also it’s very important to clean your grill. If he didn’t clean his grill in this video, he definitely would have had a grease fire on his hands.
What brand is your gas grill? Love your gas grill. Does a gas grill give burgers a charbroiled taste like Burger King?
It's an Outdoor Gourmet. I got it at Academy. You can make them taste like burger King burgers, but I add a smoke box so it gives me more of a Charcoal taste.
Have a link to the thermometer you're using or brand?
Here is the link to the thermometer.
amzn.to/2LLGrtK
It's beef, meant to be cooked medium rare, shouldn't need a thermometer
Frozen lol
Capo Belize I don’t eat there
Yep
They say you should leave the lid open when grilling fatty meats to avoid flames.
I see
Thanks
Hell Burgers!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I use wood in grill just let it become red hot ambers of coal. Tried charcoal once burned everything. Burned fence post, fallen trees, branches. I even have electric chain saw works like toy. But thanks burgers seem hard. My buddy does ribs on fire cut up no foil low heat like Savage.
Omgggggggggg I’m spooked now I have a gas grill charcoal combo and will be using the charcoal side for the first time on the 4th of july
Ok
My patties get stuck quiet a bit to the grill, how do i avoid that?
I would let the grill get hot before placing the patties on it. You could also spray Pam on the grill before turning it on.
olive oil
and dont buy frozen meat
Don’t flip them too early. Wait until you see the juices covering the top before you flip them
Cut a potato in half and stick a fork in it and rub the cut portion on the hot grill as if you were buttering it. Helps a ton
Step 1 would be letting them things thaw out
👍
What are the steps when the beef is fresh?
Same, but they come out a lot faster
If you're asking for a recipe for homemade hamburgers, check out my other videos. I have one that or two that takes you step by step on how to make them.
@@TheSmokingBeard thank you sir! I'm 44, first time grilling beef. My parents are vegetarians, no one taught me how to grill and I have always been afraid of grilling beef because of possibly getting sick.
The salt/pepper seasoning, temp of grill, and how long to grill are my main concerns. If you have any advice that is appreciated but regardless, many thanks sir!
@Ravi Patel For ground beef, you have to make sure it is well done. Get yourself an internal meat probe. The hamburger patty will be well done once the internal temp of the meat reaches 160 F or higher. As far as seasoning, since this is your 1st time really cooking meat, I'd keep it simple with salt and pepper. If you're feeling brave, use the recipe in my other video. It will have more flavors other than meat. When your are ready to lay the patties on the grill, lay it down and turn it once. You'll know when it is time to turn when the top part of the patty starts to change color on you. I'd say avout 5 minutes more or less on medium heat using fresh meat. This all depends on the thickness of your patty. The thicker it is, the longer it will take. Do not press down on the patty. This will release all the juices and you are in danger of getting a flare up on your grill. After about 3 minutes on then2nd side, you can use your internal meat probe to check for temp. I personally don't pull mine out until they reach at least 170 F... just personal preference. Good luck... let me know how they turn out.
@@TheSmokingBeard Dude, very awesome of you to respond so quickly and with such great details. Very appreciated broski. If you have an account email, I'll send some pics.

👍
You just grilled your thermometer. Is that a secret i dont know about?
🤔😄🤣
A spray bottle with water helps tame the flames.
👍
"That piece of meat is not ready to be pulled out" lol 🤣
Just a couple more minutes will do the trick.
That's what she said...
😆 🤣 😂
I still prefer charcoal over gas
Me too
follow this video if you want to make hockey pucks.
This guy
Gas burgers is a no go.. You need charcoal..
Yes... I know, but when you got no time to waste gas takes only 10 minutes from start to finish. Charcoal taste better, but gas will get you out of a pinch really quick.
@@TheSmokingBeard Agreed…
@@TheSmokingBeard A charcoal chimney will speed up your prep time. I use one and am ready to grill in about 10 minutes with a full chimney.
turn the heat down lol
Freaking propane smoker. It was on the lowest setting
The heat is on a low setting. He needs a better grill. I used to have a cheap grill and the same thing would happen to me. Imagine what would have happened if he didn’t clean the grill. I bought a Weber and I’ll never look back
Or get a regulator
Stop using a wire brush! Switch to a hard plastic one. Last thing you want to eat is a wire in your meat!
👍
He Lost me with Frozen patties
Why? In a pinch, frozen can help you out. If you wanted a recipe for homemade hamburger patties, I have at least 3-4 videos on that. Check them out before you pass final judgment. Thanks
this guy said it takes 10 miuntes from cook time to eat, then he makes a video that takes him over 20 minutes to finish the patties. WTF is this?
Dude! I have an intro and I clean the grill... try starting the timer after.
