I 100% support being compensated for the work you put into making these videos. Anyone who thinks that this should be a charitable hobby, funded solely by your own pocketbook, should try being a content creator. I bet once they find out how much it costs buying all of their own products to review would change their mind. Love the burgundy cords.
@ yes. There are people who complain about me doing "ads" during videos. They begrudge me getting compensated. But I doubt they would do any work without being paid! I guess they don't realize they can FF through those portions.
Thank you for putting in the hard work for people like me that have no sense of style. I only recently found you and I have purchased several things that you have modeled. I am a slow learner. Now I am buying them by clicking on the item in the LTK app do you can get paid. Thank you for helping me and Merry Christmas to you and yours! Much love!
Thank you Serena for reaching out to LTK, about privacy issues. Most influencers never respond to questions, you have always acknowledged my comments. You are very transparent, and I appreciate what you do for us. ❤
The stripes and plaid is darling. I wish people who don’t have any thing nice to say would keep quiet. Thanks for what you do! I appreciate all of your ideas to mix and what we have and encouragement to pick up new things!
In the interior design business on mixing patterns you choose a small print a medium print and a large print. The striped sweater looked fine with the plaid. There were several textures which also works well together.
Serena, whatever compensation you earn is well deserved! I love your ideas and commentary, and am happy for you to make money! I also have been happy to snag a few great items you've shown us. It's very hard work to do what you do. Please ignore the harpies and keep doing it!
Another great video! Thanks for showing multiple ways to wear these pieces. I really liked all of the outfits, but those Liverpool corduroy pants were my favorite. Thanks for helping us be stylish!
I really appreciate what you do! I’ve learned a lot and appreciate your thoughtful taste and am building my wardrobe after losing some weight and you are definitely one of my favorites!!!
Of course you should receive compensation for your videos. It must take a long time to complete one of your styling videos. I really appreciate you! Some u tubers that I follow show clothes that are sooo expensive! I can really relate to your style choices. At my age looking good is very important to me. Thank you Serena
I love all of these suggestions, I have a lot of similar pieces so it gives me some good ideas for styling my outfits with different pieces. Thanks Serena🎄🎄
Great video!!! I am personally glad you have picked sponsors because in the past, you have pointed out garments that I would not have even known about. One in particular this summer, were the Chico skorts. That was one of my fave wears of the summer. You know that there will always people who make tacky remarks. I really enjoy all your videos.
I have all really nice basics and very nice classic style pieces. I have good accessories that I make the outfits look good with .I have a minimal classic wardrobe. I like style videos because I don’t need any more clothes. That doesn’t mean I don’t buy I’m still.😂😂😂 love your content…🌲😘
I am a JJill fan also. However i do like other companies to. I like the idea of cotton sweaters as well as cashmere ones. I enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work. I like the colarless blazer. They are hard to find, especially in petite sizes.
Happy birthday Serena! Sorry haven’t been watching much lately! My daughter has been in the hospital and we are hoping she gets out before Christmas! Love the outfits!
You are so good at what you do Serena and I so appreciate all the help you have given me on my fashion choices. On this video’s outfits, I like the slim straight jeans with green mock neck sweater and animal print flats. This one just suits your petite frame and hourglass shape perfectly.
I appreciate your explanation of sponsorships, ads, etc. It appears that some may not understand all the time, effort and resources that go into producing these videos that we watch for free. I simply "skip" the ads and continue watching 🙂. Thank you for yet another great video showing some really cute outfits! Oh, and for a future FAQ video, it would be interesting to know what prompted/influenced your interest in fashion? What did you do before UA-cam? And what do you like to do when you're not working on stuff for your channel? Thank you..and Merry Christmas!
I applaud you for wearing the ankle length in pants. I just can't do it. I used to be 5'4" but I'm 72 looking like 60 and I've shrunk to 5'2". I feel like my ankles are exposed and it makes me look shorter than I want to look. I am in the process of buying a brand new wardrobe as I've lost 90 lbs over the last year. Yes, I am taking ozempic and I was lucky with no side effects. I was wearing a 24 and now wear a size 10 or /12 depending on cut. I have quite a few pairs of leggings because they are versatile in sizing and I'm not wanting to keep having to buy a bunch of different sizes of pants. I have recently bought a couple of pairs of straight legs jeans and I feel comfortable with them being longer. I sew so I'm able to alter clothes so that they fit the way I want. I remember the hipster bell bottoms when I was in high school. Of course it was in the late 60s so they had to be part of a pant suit as jeans were not allowed to be worn. I just can't do the above ankle flare. I think that it makes short women look shorter and I'm not up for that. I can't really wear petites because I am long waisted so hemming works for me. Burgundy is a very in color right now and red is moving in. I just read that crossbody purses are moving out. I never really did crossbody because I really like handles.
I love the green plaid pants. My Ralph Lauren bear has the green plaid pants, cream cable knit sweater and burgandy toggle coat. I've been looking for those pants to recreate the look.
👏👏👏Bravo, Serena for trying pattern on pattern. It takes talent to be able to make that work. I watch other fashion stylists and designers and they say to start with 2 patterns (w/like colors) if you want to challenge yourself. Right? Fashion can be fun and creative. They also say you can try 3 patterns, but the designers can do up to five patterns. I sometimes try 2 & will challenge myself to try 3. Anyway, I love the plaid I have a few pairs myself. I am a teacher & try to bring color & sometimes patterns to counter my students' black clothes (H. S.). I too will get an occasional comment comparing it (to some character that they know). Case in point- I wore suede camel pants with a sage green & brown patterned blouse (I loved my look, but a male commented that I dressed like Shaggy from Scooby Doo). When I put it together, not once did I think about Shaggy (my generation cartoon-58 yrs. old). I dress for myself not others (not trying to please everyone). Merry Christmas!
I uninstalled my LTK app because they only sent me notices about "you might want to follow...". I only follow those I know and don't need any additional influencers. THANK YOU for all the content you provide, your videos are GREAT !!
Thank you that was so much fun to watch. I love your fashion sense it’s very classy☺️Ps: should be compensated, stuff you show us I mean they’re getting a good advertisement.
Hi Serena, Appreciate your explanation on compensation, although it was not anything that bothered me. really enjoying the content and these videos; thank you. I couldn’t find the link for the blazer, nor could I hear what the brand was or the size you were wearing, if you could provide that info please that would be great 😊 Towards the end of your video I missed where the straight leg jeans came from as well. Thank you and Merry Christmas.
I don't mind pattern mixing but I usually prefer to keep the patterns in the same color palette. So if the sweater had been green with a navy stripe - chef's kiss. The pants do not look like pajamas to me but I understand why other people think so. Plaid pj pants are always big this holiday time of year. Plaid in general is usually a big trend during the Fall/Winter.
