    Do you know the nutritional information of the pulps from making nut milks?

  • @ippybee7228
    @ippybee7228 Рік тому

    Would this be the same with left over product from making coconut milk? Would the coconut pulp not be a good replacement for coconut flour?

    • @NutritionRefined
      @NutritionRefined  Рік тому +1

      Yes, you got it! Coconut pulp would be the same as almond pulp. Coconut flour is typically made from dried coconut meat and is higher in fat than coconut pulp.

    Do you soak almonds before makin flour?

    • @NutritionRefined
      @NutritionRefined  Рік тому +1

      I soak and dehydrate almost all nuts and seeds as soon as I buy them (and then store in the freezer). The nuts do need to be completely dry (whether they are pre-soaked nor not) for making almond flour.

    But almond pulp can be used for making cake too

    Use Soyabella to make nut milk. No squeezing needed

    • @NutritionRefined
      @NutritionRefined  Рік тому +1

      I have heard of Soyabella but never tried it. I try to stick to only essentials (whatever I consider an essential, that is) when purchasing kitchen tools.

      I'd rather own 1 kitchen tool that does it all like Vitamix, than filling my kitchen with separate gadgets. Space and money saver. Nothing wrong with squeezing.

    So essentially, almond pulp is mostly fiber? And almond flour is blanched almonds without the skins which amounts to without lectin? I always wondered about this. The organic Almond flour I buy is pure white without any brown flakes, so I assumed they made it with blanched almonds, but it is quite nice to know this. Thank you.

    • @NutritionRefined
      @NutritionRefined  Рік тому +4

      Yes, and yes! I am always blown away by how much you know, Colin! Not very many people are aware that blanched almonds are a great option when eating a low lectin diet.

      @@NutritionRefined There is nothing like having your doctor tell you that there is no cure for the disease you have and you are going to die in three to six months -- to motivate you to figure out how the human body works. I did my research and decided to throw everything but the kitchen sink at it, I felt I did not have time to try one thing at a time, but everything all at once, and I hit a tipping point. One day I was sick. The next day I was well -- completely well. That was ten years ago. Thirty years ago I had a crushed virtibrae and they told me they could not operate and I would never sit or walk again. Lying on my back, I eventually found and read two books, and connected the dots, and tried out what they indicated, and in less than three weeks was COMPLETELY healed. Inbetween, many years ago, I had horrible, painful, crippling arthritis and overcame that with diet and supplements. There were three other serious challenges but won't go into them. I have never been healthier or as pain free as I am today. Having said all that, I appreciate how much you know too, and how efficiently and sweetly you are able to communicate and share it. You are gifted. I think what you are doing is really important. Thank you for doing what you do. May the Lord bless you.

      @@NutritionRefined The other thing about almonds is that they are alkaline, where all other nuts are acidic. I have come to realize that getting your alkalinity up to and above 7.4 is the most important thing you can do for health. It cured my NO crisis in 24 hours. There is a doctor in Italy who has cured thousands of people of cancer by injecting buffered baking soda into their blood. Raw vegan food that is acidic is not a good idea -- it is counter productive. Organic + whole food + Raw + vegan + alkaline is the best way to go. Over and out Captain.

    could you please state the/write a caption of the Celsius value when you speak of temperature? I don't suppose it should require much effort on your end, as much as the one your entire non American viewership needs to put into converting it in all of your videos to date.
