I bought a brand new Versa back in 2009 and still have it. I love the Versa and when I'm ready for a new car there is no doubt in my mind it will be another Versa. This car has been great for my needs.
Versa, I had a 2015 Nissan Versa S and now I have a 2017 Nissan Versa Sv and I love it. Very nice car and I do lots of city driving to work and everything and it's perfect for me. My favorite Nissan car.
I have a 2017 Versa SV and have no complaints apart from the quirks of the CVT. I'm 6'4" and was shocked at the interior space and entry / exit ease. Fuel economy is 37.8 mpg combined.
I would just like to say I recently purchased a 2018 Nissan versa SV with 40,000 miles on it runs Fantastic I love it at the gas station and it's not bad on the highway Great economical car
What would have been nice is a comparison on how they compared in terms of ride, handling and comfort. In my opinion, having driven both, the Sentra is hands down far more refined with better ride, handling and comfort. But having said that It depends on what you're looking for. If you want inexpensive, reliable and good transportation the Versa is nothing to sneeze at and is an excellent choice. But if you want more room, better handling and a more refined car and don't mind spending a bit more the Sentra is also an excellent choice. I recently purchased a 2015 Sentra SR which comes standard with 17" Sport Alloy Wheels, Sport Front and Rear Fascias, Premium Sport Cloth, Heated front seats and Rear spoiler. The SR version looks much sportier and gives the car a much more premium feel compared to the vanilla S and SV versions. I'm very impressed with the ride, handling and comfort that my Sentra delivers. What really sold me on it was the awesome lumbar support of the driver and passenger seats and how comfortable they are. I've driven far more expensive cars that didn't have seats as comfortable or gave the support these do. Also, the dual temperature heated seats are a nice touch keeping my buns toasty on cold mornings. Where the Sentra really shines though is in backseat space and comfort and the cavernous truck space which totally surprised me. The Sentra is considered a compact car yet it competes with midsized cars (like the Camry) when it comes to backseat comfort and legroom and truck capacity. The Sentra's truck size of 15.1 cu. ft is virtually identical with the 2016 Camry's 15.4 cu ft. The Sentra gives up just a tad of legroom in the backseat compared to the Camry but beats it with greater front leg room and head room. I'm not attempting to compare the Sentra with the Camry (which I also own) or with any other midsized car for that matter. What I'm attempting to impress upon you is just how spacious and comfortable the Sentra really is for a compact car. Acceleration leaves me wanting sometimes but I realize it's not a sport sedan and I didn't buy it for that anyway. But on the flip side it has excellent fuel economy (I've never dropped below 33 mpg and get as much as 41 mpg on the highway) which for me was a big deal and just another thing that sealed the deal. Bottom line in the Versa versus Sentra comparison is like comparing a Blazer with a three piece suit. Depending on your needs one does it more elegantly and with more style than the other. However both are very functional and serve their purpose well.
Michael Manjin honestly, I like the versa's driving better, it's slimmer, feels smaller. The only terrifying thing is driving the versa on the highway when there's too much wind, the car is light, so the wind moves your car a little too much for comfort, compared to a heavier vehicle like the sentra. Just my opinion.
My wife just got the Sentra base model and she really likes it, the only thing is the hood slopes down so much she is having a hard time getting use too it. Other than that she likes it a lot. I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall and have enough room driving it. I haven't heard the drone noise that everybody complains about. I live in a area near Lake Erie and I hope it's good in the snow. I drive a Ford Ranger 4x4 so snow is no problem. I have watched most of your vid and you do a great job Thanks
Unless your passenger is the one filling up the tank, or you live in New Jersey and are not allowed to pump your own gas, the filler door is best on the passenger side. My current car (2005 Nissan Altima) has its filler door on the driver side, and I have to be careful precisely how I park next to the pump, or find myself trapped in the car because I can't open the driver door fully.
Finally man been looking for the original 2015 Nissan Sentra review!!! Getting it Sunday only videos I've seen are the other models thanks man truly!!!
This video helped me make my decision. I have a choice between the 2016 versa and a 2013 sentra, both at the same price. But the sentra is fully loaded with driver package and gps, bluetooth, back up camera, etc. So when new the versa was 12k, the sentra 19k. Definately going with the sentra. thanks
I like the look and what the Sentra had to offer than the Versa. So with that been said I went and got a new 2016 Nissan Sentra.but the review was good. thank you..
Good review. It would have been better if you had reviewed a Sentra SV vs a Versa SV. The Sentra SV comes with alloy rims, navigation, roof top, spoiler, and what not. You are reviewing the very basic Sentra trim here, and it still held up well against, if not surpassed the Versa.
Niceee!!! I got myself a 2020 nissan versa sv. All glory to god!!!!! i have videos of my car on my channel too. the process, decorating my car etc.. I like binge watching these kind of videos!
the sentra you're comparing is the standard s version. the versa in the video isn't the standard versa s. the sentra sv is way better than the versa sv.
hard to compare when you talking about trim levels and optional equipment. But the none optional standard or design features are what buyers should be looking at. My wife's 2012 special edition is sportier and nice than both of these.
Mario... I own a Sentra SV you don't get a spoiler, NAV or alloy wheels unless you step up to the SR or LE. It's not fair that the poster compared a base Sentra to an SV Versa. I test drove an SV Versa which was slower than molasses on a February morning. Surely looks sporty but I can walk faster than it. Who cares which side the gas filler cap is on? The SV Sentra has front and Rear LED lights, push button start, rear back up camera. I'm not taking a Versa SV over a Sentra bc it's got fog lights, alloy wheels and rear spoiler... Versa does not have ECO or Sport mode and pushes 109 hrspwr! Sentra is a much better car and destroys the Versa for value against Elantra, Civic, and Corolla
They are not the same category and same trim. The Sentra is a bigger vehicle. As for the trim, that's the Sentra S, and the Versa SV. The SV is a higher trim. I believe that that key has the immobilizer system and needs to be programmed if you get a new one. (just saying)
Bottom line! Nissan's CVT transmissions are junk. Couldn't pay me to buy one. And for those of you considering buying one of these cars, make sure you get a real long extended warranty on the CVT transmission.
MikesCarInfo I know mike. And truthfully I absolutely love your videos because you don’t just show the expensive luxury cars. You also show reasonably priced cars like the versa.
I bought a brand new Versa back in 2009 and still have it. I love the Versa and when I'm ready for a new car there is no doubt in my mind it will be another Versa. This car has been great for my needs.
thank you for your comment i got a 2015 and i want her lasting as long as possible for my first car
I just got a Sentra! Loving it so far, it feels very solid!
Versa, I had a 2015 Nissan Versa S and now I have a 2017 Nissan Versa Sv and I love it. Very nice car and I do lots of city driving to work and everything and it's perfect for me. My favorite Nissan car.
I'm glad he touched on the gas door placement. to some it may seem irrelevant but I absolutely hate the gas door being on the passenger side
I have a 2017 Versa SV and have no complaints apart from the quirks of the CVT. I'm 6'4" and was shocked at the interior space and entry / exit ease. Fuel economy is 37.8 mpg combined.

+Michael Manjin Thank you for adding important info to the discussion Michael!

I love my 2014 sentra sl I love it I even customize it the way I wanted it so yes I added more stuff to it
My wife just got the Sentra base model and she really likes it, the only thing is the hood slopes down so much she is having a hard time getting use too it. Other than that she likes it a lot. This is a good comparison. Idk why some people thumbs down?

I went with the 2015 Versa and i love it
Hey! I did too and I love it. I have a 2015 Nissan Versa S
I went with the Sentra SV model and I love it!!
I have one too and its so great!
I like the look and what the Sentra had to offer than the Versa. So with that been said I went and got a new 2016 Nissan Sentra.but the review was good. thank you..

He want to make it even the sv versa don't come with a sunroof a versa don't come with a sunroof
sentra sv does not come with any those options mentioned lol
@@smoothoperator1663
I think he meant SR
Thanks man your reviews are fantastic
WarenaiSai Thank you!
Alex121sm1 the s versa come with manual windows door lock truck no key fob
Oh my the comments here are so sweet. I love the gloss black finish on these cars
I bought a 2016 versa sv and loved it. Totaled the car out and replaced it with the sentra 2015. Like them both but the sentra is alot bigger car.
very nice comparison, i think i chose the Sentra for my needs and did watch this after i bought car. Good luck!
got a Sentra...smooth and quicker than critics say
Way quicker and a much smoother ride.. Also.the seats are very comfortable... Not a bench like in the old 2008 versas.
now a 2018 nissan altima sv
team Versa

It was either added by the dealer or placed after market
Martin Burstein well the versa is a v4, compared to the sentra which is a v6. You're really asking for eco boost on a v4?
Agreed!
Martin Burstein 1 the versa sv come with no power windows door locks not a key fob the s and the s plus
Martin Burstein a versa come with nav on it go to the SL to get the push button but no sunroof
I most likely would buy the Versa!.
Get a versa sv if u don't want push button start and cheap the Sentra is good with push button
Comparing theses two cars is like comparing a orange and a tangerine !
They are not the same category and same trim. The Sentra is a bigger vehicle. As for the trim, that's the Sentra S, and the Versa SV. The SV is a higher trim. I believe that that key has the immobilizer system and needs to be programmed if you get a new one. (just saying)
Why is there that alarm sound beeping when you opened the door? Cause I am hearing that in my Nissan Sentra and not sure where it's from
Anyone who pays 15 for the Versa and 17 for the Sentra.. they paid a bit over 2500 too much for those models.
I have the nissan versa 2016 but in gray
Thank you very much! Now I know what to save money for.
Bottom line! Nissan's CVT transmissions are junk. Couldn't pay me to buy one. And for those of you considering buying one of these cars, make sure you get a real long extended warranty on the CVT transmission.
the nissan CVT transmission is fine ran my versa note up to 175k from 2014-2019
Or just save $4k. Not a big deal. Bought my car with 21,000 miles for $6,000. Can live with swapping a transmission or two
deciding what to get 2015 spectra 1.8 or 2015 lancer 2.0 ???
Lancer!
lancer obviously
I'm 6'5 and looking at the sentra sv do u think I can fit in it
Yes you could and the driver seat has a pump lever to raise and lower the seat in addition to leaning it back
Very helpful. Thank you.
Nothing like the sentra sr
i like versas better
Me, too.
I just bought a used 2016. I like it. Why you like Versas over the Sentra ?
the versa is so much better its a full 7k less and just looks better too regular versa or sv

Saludos
I love is sentra and versa xd
Here is a tip: Begging for money at the end of your video made many of us want to troll you.
Begging? Sounds like you haven't reached the part in life where you learn about reciprocation.
Who is "us"?
Great disposable college cars.
