So, for what I've gathered: After their fight at "the showdown", they realized that if they keep fighting, they'll likely end up destroying each others, so they agreed to make a truce by sharing the manor. As you can guess, that cohabitation doesn't go smoothly. They fight over everything, both figuratively and VERY literally.
Yet, despite the mutual resentment and multiple murder attempts, they eventually starts to bound. After all, they are both social outcasts who don't fit in anywhere (let's not forget that this whole story started with Missi breaking into a supposedly abandoned manor to read "Twilight"). In a twisted way, they are really all they have and they're personalities aligns quite well. Their relationship slowly evolve from a begrudging coexistence to a passionate romance.
And yes, you are right. This is toxic as hell, but it somehow fit them. They are both messed up people which I think help make their relation more believable.
I believe however, that this development would have benefited from another video before the finally. We must keep in mind though, that "Daria Cohen" is basing her story on already existing songs, all of which were made by the same author. It's also for that reason that some parts such as the "marriage" thing don't make any sense. She is just adapting the narrative to the songs.

it's a little bit complicated. Sometimes... you hate a person just for a minor reason just for the fact to hate this person but when you have to take time and when you're stuck with this person you see other parts in this persons' personality you grow together and still can't admit that there's more to it. This is the case with these two. Missy hated Duke for no clear reason, yes he was playing with her, but her "hate" came from the cane. It made her mad and revengeful against him, so much that she resurrected him just to make him miserable. He on the other hand wanted his cane back, and so they found each other in this "dance battle" for the cane. In the end, they realized that it would destroy them both if their fight continued. They decided to share the mansion, but there was still bad blood with a lot of fights but also growing feelings for each other and in the end they finally realized their passion for each other. The question is... is it toxic if it fits and if both sides mirror each other? After all they are outcasts and vampires
Daria has confirmed that Missi was 17 in the first part and 18+ in every following episode
I think the word you're looking for is "vindictive".
If you're familiar with the Grimm Adventures of Billy and Mandy that might've been why Voltaire seems familiar. He's done a couple songs for the show including "Land of the Dead" which was in the second video, and more famously "Brains".
i don't think theyre married. it's just from the song and since daria has to pace her story using the songs she choose, not every lyric can be taken literally as she has no control over that. shes only able to pick the song that fits best (and usually from a limited pool of songs, whether it be voltaire or similiar-sounding artists for missi) so this was just the 'best she could get', (not saying it's a bad song or a bad song for the series, but yknow what i mean.) so the talk of marriage is almost definitely not actually saying theyre married but can be a reference to this 'stuck together' situation they both have. missi stuck with the cane that she mentally cant allow herself to get rid of, and duke stuck with the want of revenge and getting that cane back. stuck together. hope you one day catch up with the rest of this series.
