I love Voltaire's music, which i highly suggest anyone check out more, and coupled with the animation and the story Daria did is just fantastic. Also your commentary and thought process was so fun to listen to and look at in another light.
In regards to the land of the dead it was actually written for a tv show. The cartoon the grim adventures of Billy and many that vultar did a lot of the music for. Specifically I believe it was the opening song to the made for tv movie
Missi (the human girl) didn't show up to get seduced. She just wanted a place to read. She seduced him so she could kill him. The staff he had turned her into a vampire.
