I absolutely LOVED this season. There are no words to describe how I feel about this whole story. It was absolutely amazing and I can't believe something like this came from youtube. The fact that this all started from simple nonsense to a full blown story and deep lore is just incredible. All the fights were so well animated, the music was amazing, even the characters and story were so deep and unique, made me tear up even. I genuinely loved this whole series and cannot wait for more stuff. Once again, genuinely loved everything about this series, I hope you are as proud of it as everyone else is.
I can’t imagine 2010 Alan would believe where he’d be right now. Animator vs Animation has come so far, from a harmless comedy short to an engaging series which is BASICALLY A MOVIE. Excellent work.
I think what makes this series amazing is the fact that you guys managed to make a series without any words, which means you don't need to translate and/or reanimate it to make it accessible to most of the world
the cooking scenes that bookend this whole season are such a perfect example of recontextualization. its such a benign and innocuous event in the beginning, but at the end, after everything everyones been through, after they were all so far away from home for so long, an identical cooking scene becomes such an emotional ending. theyre home! and everything is ok now💛 huge thanks to alan and the team for making this series happen
@@VeryVeryKoolGuyThey’re basically saying that the season started with a failed cookout which prompted this whole journey, and ended with a successful one after the journey was over.
The last 40 minutes of this season never fails to get me all coked up. I know everyone is saying that we should turn this into a Netflix adaptation, but can you imagine how Hollywood would ruin this beloved series? We should all be thankful that Alan Becker spends all this time to give us this much action and story for free. We should never take this kind of work for granted.
Dude…that’s all I can say about this. Emotions and feelings that were invoked from the plot, all the way to the finer details. The soundtrack brings you into the moment, and the character backstories highlight sympathy towards them. When we dove into the past of Orange and Purple, I had a whole reality check and it opened up perspectives I never considered before. Alan, well done. I didn’t think you could top animator vs animation, but this brought it to a whole other level. Bravo Alan, bravo Edit: Didn’t expect the amount of likes this got. Hope y’all are doing well!

Right? The emotions were off the charts! 🤯 By the way, if you ever want to create your own epic Minecraft adventures like this, ScalaCube's got your back. It's where creativity meets gaming! 😉
look i'm probably going to be singing this season's praises for the rest of my life. it's incredible how much depth this team put into a story about stick figures playing minecraft. it's a genuinely moving and creative piece, told entirely without dialogue- the perfect example of "show, don't tell". amazing.
23:52 if you look closely you can see that one of Pig’s powers is “Techno Power”. The fact that Alan and his team can make the most action packed and heart warming stick series ever and still be able to honor a legend is amazing
This. This is what the pinnacle looks like. It's perfection. It has it all. A summit that I had the pleasure to contemplate, from none other than the author of my childhood memories. Thank you Mr. Becker. Thank you to everyone on the team. Thank you for this. And congratulations~
These 2 and a half hours were worth every second... The music, the sound effects, the story... Down right brilliant. Now to pray for season 4, if it will ever exist. Seriously though, well done Alan, as well as everyone who helped create this masterpiece. It's truly amazing.
If Season 4 exist maybe isntead of someone human being the villain it should be a virus or a glitch (like what killed the King's son) taking over the minecraft metaverse or something Season 4 could have potential aswell but it would take a lot of thought and good story writting to make a good or even better season
I have actually no words. Alan over these years you've created such a touching, engaging, exciting and sorrowful story WITHOUT EVEN a need to involve any words and yet still manage to express all those emotions in just a figure animation... Holy crap i couldn't help myself and cried so hard at the end. Its not just a figure animation - its a Masterpiece.
Yes I just watched a 2 and a half hour movie of stickmen in minecraft that had absolutely zero dialogue. Yes it was better than 99% of the stuff big corporations come out with. Yes it was beautiful. Alan Becker, I dont know how you and your team do it, but this is an absolute masterpiece
The beautiful thing about this series is that the emotions are portrayed by the character movements and actions and not words, it quite literally shows that “actions speak louder than words”. This series is something everyone can and should experience, something to be shared around the world.
Hey guys, I don't know if you realized about this, but if you try to read waiver that king orange signed before his son entered to the minecraft VR simulator, it mentions a lot of problems that the simulator can have while using it, and, it also says than the workers are not responsible of anything if it happen any problem, so, it means that if King Orange had read the waiver before having signed it, he could have avoided his son's death But I don't think someone will read this comment anyday, so, if someone reads it, I want you to answer my comment and tell me your opinion about this theory

@@spectre7095 it could be considering the fact that the final episode just had end credits and said “the end” while season 2 had neither of those things.
I mean, I'm sure someone way more versed in storytelling, psychology and worldbuilding could easily make a better story, even though Alan's animations are amazing. The whole premise seems pretty simple, and King's backstory was literally ad hoc rather than deeply intertwined throughout the series
Ive watched Alan Becker since his animation vs animator that was when I was way younger and thought nothing of it as an cool and awesome animation, and the way he has come was unfathomable. I had never thought that something this beautiful was seen by my eyes. This would be the most stunningly beautiful masterpiece of a animation that felt like a film. This shows how amazing Alan Becker is and his animation should be everywhere. Truly thank you Alan, for making stuff like this basically more than half my life. You will forever be imprinted into my mind an heart.
It's been 7 years since I started watching you, and it really isn't fair that throughout a near-decade, a pandemic, and so many experiences with things that have been genuinely amazing, things haven't changed a bit.
Was streaming this on discord two days ago as a joke movie night to my friends. When they asked why I was watching stickmen I said calmly and unabashedly the damn thing had made me cry twice. They joked and didn’t really seem to believe me, carrying on convos and playing other games over the 2 hours. Realized during the Herobrine sequence it was dead quiet and they didn’t start talking again until credits. 😂
I remember suddenly realising that The King was the underdog in this story when Herobrine joined the fight. He was already fighting an 11 v 1 battle and winning, then the devil himself started beating on him. Then I remembered why he was doing all this in the first place, the music intensifies and he’s still not backing down from the fight. Suddenly I was rooting for the bad guy.
To think Alan had ambitions to work at PIXAR, before he was turned down. The amazing work he and his team have put out in this series ALONE shows that he was beyond qualified to be an animator at Pixar... And now, he's doing something arguably better. I can't wait to see what you guys put out in the future!
Cannot believe I binged this ENTIRE season! Congratulations to Alan and the team for this absolute masterpiece! After everything, they’re finally home at the end. Can’t believe how much emotion you can feel from a bunch of stick figures we’ve grown to love! This was amazing like always!
Binged *all* of AvM after watching Episode 30, then watched 30 again to catch anything I missed (like how the command blocks in King Oranges' basement were for the parkour, and that the Minecraft Mysteries book had pages on Herobrine, titan ravagers, deep dark ancient cities and lucky blocks). So, logically speaking, there was no reason for me to watch all of this video, given that new music was only added for the first few episodes. Someone should nominate Alan or something.
Alan Becker, your work made me cry. This was perhaps one of the best works of art I have seen in my entire life. You are a master storyteller, and a phenomenal artist, editor, composer, and everything else you are. I would be lucky to see more of your work.
a small detail i noticed was at 1:31:54 the king just threw the gold block not realizing it would risk giving them something if they got the staff back, while at 1:42:03 the king learns from his mistake and destroys the block fearing he might risk losing the staff and giving them a resource.
No actual words, and this still communicates ideas more profoundly than anything Hollywood can spit out today. Never seen Minecraft used this creatively. Well done, Alan, keep it going! Been watching your content since I was a small child.
Let's appreciate how much Alan Becker has grown ever since. From drawing stickmans and tackling them, to making an actual great ass movie series, This has been a masterpiece for Alan, Man I'm gonna miss this series so much
I think the character I appreciate the most is Herobrine. Not only was him versus the Orange King an aspect of someone who's studied a topic against someone who lives the topic but also Herobrine actually understands the threat then Orange King absorbs the first Steve. He wasn't thinking "Whatever, I can still win" it was "What the hell? I think Im boned.." And even took steps to avoid getting too close. Like the level of self awareness Alan and his team put into these characters is truly a master level of story telling and so rare to see in most media.
technically Herobrine wasn't giving it all, he wanted to see what Orange King is capable of, instead of just rushing and stopping The King immediately. I believe Herobrine has much more power beyond Minecraft's cube, if he managed to control obsidian blocks without an Minecraft Icon in Red's body. but yeah, he is still not immune against Minecraft Icon's power (especially combined ones), he gets cooked right as soon as possible.
I love how this went from a stick figure fighting its animator to 5 stick figures fighting a king that’s trying to destroy Minecraft forever. Congratulations, Alan!
A 2 and a half hour UA-cam video with no words using only Minecraft and stick figures has managed to make me cry three separate times. This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Thanks, Alan.

I remember suddenly realising that The King was the underdog in this story when Herobrine joined the fight. He was already fighting an 11 v 1 battle and winning, then the devil himself started beating on him.

Orange king and King orange is same broo!
There's an Easter egg at 2.08:20
technically Herobrine wasn't giving it all, he wanted to see what Orange King is capable of, instead of just rushing and stopping The King immediately.
