The modularity of the gemini is amazing, i wonder if the designer spent some time in a data center. Reminds me of a old ibm or dell server. They should come out with a new hex.
Squshy654 the reason they do that is so when it's in forward flight the body is flat in line with the direction of travel. Less drag and wind resistance.

I would really like to see one of those crazy challenges/projects that you used to do (brick plane, rocket plane, 100mph for $100 etc.) Something like how many rockets can you strap on a plane and how fast you can get it going before it breaks or try to build a huge multicopter with over 20 motors and a regular flight controller (kk 2, naze32, apm etc.). P.S. I really miss those episodes with David, they were crazy and so informative at the same time... :)
you can just switch out the entire frame. all the electronics are either stuck down or plug and fly. so the time it takes to change out the entire frame (and the cost of the frame) is very comparabe to that on other quads.
Flite Board? A very simplistic flight control board with compatibility with Immersion Rc, Fatshark, and TBS. Capable of RTH and hover, and supports: Tricopters, Quadcopters, V-Tails,Dead Cats, H-quads, Hexacopters, Octocopters, etc. Maybe a Ft simple electronics series, ( Custom Motors? Esc's? Bec's? Flight boards? Etc. ) Just an idea, cheers! :)

ojaybock AerialMob arms. They work on flamewheel F450, F550 and DISCOVERY frames. You can buy them at pretty much any shop that also sells TBS equipment.

Should have done the episode with trappy on your back cause that's what all these episodes look like. You have never once said a single bad thing about any product since David left!! The TBS guys know Trappy all too well and dialed down the Gemini to 30% since it was the only prototype at the time. I've seen some speed runs though and it is WICKED

If not, that's not going to happen, because David can not come back without one. He has to wait until he can apply for a new one. Also please don't make it easy by blaming the "buyout". David had to leave because of the expired visa, Chad wanted to step down to concentrate on his other company, Josh Scott(?) got a new baby, Peter has to settle in... none of which is the result of the new company "above" FliteTest. Things change and sometimes it needs a little time to recover.

Enzo Delia Maybe the TBS version will. I put a Cinetank together recently with long arm booms, low kv motors and big props. With a 6s battery, I get more than past 25 minutes flight time on a 4500mah bat. Oh yeah, for about $350 to boot.
What if I would like to have 2 operators on TBS Pro. One flies using integrated camera and another one uses gimbal? Or let say I can watch around by using googles with head-motion while the pilot flies using integrated camera?

The more weight u put on it the more amps it will draw find the sweetspot not just strap on baats
If batteries only last 20 min what kind of solar panels could have a greater extension on run time
