This very first JP game makes a lot more sense when you consider it's actually in large part based on the JP novel, not the movie. The rafting section ending with a confrontation with the T-Rex, and especially level 4 where you have to find explosives in the maintenance shed to plant in the raptor nests on the southern part of the island, are all elements based on similar events from the novel. Even the bazooka that Alan uses is a weapon that features prominently in the novel but never makes an appearance in the movie.
The only Jurassic Park game I've played was the one on the Genesis when I was a kid. I had a lot of fun with that one. I don't think my younger self would've likes this game though lol.
Same here. Wasn't the Sega already out by the time this movie released? I remember playing mortal Kombat the same weekend we rented the first Jurassic Park movie lol . Although we were usually late seeing movies.
@@jimmycarpenter6612 I looked it up and the game was released 2 months after the movie itself. But yeah, I recall playing this next to some classics like Sonic 2 and Streets of Rage 2.

I don't play Jurassic Park often, but when I do I play Genesis Jurassic Park. Spared no expense my friends.
The denizens of Isla Nublar would be proud! :)
Yooooo, you should definitely try to find some hidden gems on these old systems. The game looks cool, great video!
Cool! Thanks for your comment and for being here. I'll definitely start digging into hidden gems. So much fun to be had!

I love the Genny. So many incredible games. I have an s-video modded system with upgraded audio amp. And yes, the JP game on NES can be... trying. :)
