For ANYONE struggling with this on perhaps their PC, if not taping then try to force down the SD card into the SD slot to make sure the metallic parts physically connect, before you look up other crappy youtube videos that do NOT explicitly address this issue. No offense to the creator of this video, mind you this video is quite informative and helpful. Anyway addressing such a stupid physical issue can save you a lot of headaches involving disk partitioning, registry editing, formatting failing due to "disk is write protected".
@@DongChiDongLao Hi there. I also did the same as you did and I still can't remove the write protection on my microSd card. @RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware any idea why is not possible even if I followed all these steps and on 2 computers even?
Hi there, thank you for your question! It's most likely then an issue with the drive itself unfortunately but I would recommend taking it to a professional for further assistance.
Hi there, thank you for your question! I would recommend trying to format the drive but this will erase all data on the drive if its important try using data recovery software to retrieve the files before formatting otherwise take it to a professional for further assistance.
@@RecoveritDataRecoverySoftware I formatted my camera sd card and tried all the methods as well. Still it says the card is write protected. What to do?
Your video is very clear but do you have any idea why is not possible even if I followed all these steps and on 2 computers even? My microSD card is still write protected.
Hi there, thank you for your question! Then it is most likely because the Card itself is corrupted or damaged I would recommend taking it to a professional if the data is important on the drive.
I toggled the lock switch on the adapter, and it worked! To begin it was not locked. I locked it and tried and it still would not format. I then unlocked it and and tried again and it worked.

Hi there, thank you for your question! Can you tell me which specific things you aren't seeing? You can try opening Command Prompt as an administrator, type "diskpart", and press Enter to access the Disk Partition tool. Use the list disk command to display connected disks, then identify your SSD by its size. Select the SSD using "select disk(your drive letter)" and remove the write protection by typing "attributes disk clear readonly". Exit diskpart and CMD, then verify if the write protection is removed by attempting to write files to the SSD or formatting it. If the issue persists, check for physical write-protection switches or assess the SSD’s health with tools like CrystalDiskInfo.
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you don't know the key for the SD card then you will have to resort to decryption software or try formatting the device but this will erase all the data.
Hi there, thank you for your question! If you tried all the steps mentioned in the video I would recommend reformatting the drive just know this will erase all files from the drive. If that doesn't get the drive working I would recommend purchasing a new SD Card.
Hello Wodershare-Team, I'm pretty upset about your customer support. About one and a half months ago I bought a lifetime license for one of your softwares. The software itself is good and intuitive but I bought the wrong one. So I tried to contact you to get a refund (about one week after I bought it). That didn't work because your support does not have an email. The "option" to get to chat with the support didn't work either. It almost seems to me like your company doesn't even want to get customers to refund their products. I paid about 120€ for this license! If I could I would rated you with zero out of five stars! Hope this comment helps getting some attention. Yours sincerely, Johannes
after ten minutes of frustration, one minute of your video fixed it.. Thanks!
