I've tried all 7 methods and none of them solved my problem. After all I solve my problem using method #8. Method 8: Purchase a new USB flash drive and get a sledgehammer and beat the crap out of the old one. Quite satisfying after all.
Dude, why don't you make a video that works? you should rename the video as "7 Ways of "Unable" to Remove Write Protection from Pen Drive or SD"... Whadda waste of time!
Hi Dear I have Tried all the methods described by you in the video and none of them is worked for my Card, But one thing i would like to say that your efforts are appreciable.Thanks...
It simply means your SD card is damaged.... However your computer is still able to read what's inside it....I had an SD card which was completely damage to such a point where none of any device was able to even read it...It kept on saying disk corrupted...
There is only one way of solving this problem which is, when inserting the adaptor to the pot of the system, push it to the direction that has cut on the adaptor(push it to the lift side of the adaptor pot) as u finally insert it. That's all
@6:10 the value should be 0 not 1. I changed it to 0 and it fixed the issue. If you think about it, it’s a bit, so by setting it to 1, you are write protecting it.
The 4th step worked for me, i opened the app did the same as him but checked the box with quick format than hit the format button after it was done i went to the disk managment formated the usb to fat 32 and than clicked on changed the drive letter and paths then clicked on add: and then hit okay and apply and the usb is working again for me Thank you it worked for me😊
I've tried other you tube videos on how to fix write protect they all explained it the same procedure which is not as complete as you've d explained it. Sometimes small details are important just like the one you showed to type exit after setting up cmd which is very important because it worked for me. Thank you so much for explaining it properly. I've liked your video and subscribed! Thanks again!
My sd card is same as you say, then i search how to fix protected sd card, i saw this. I try the 1st way, then settled my issue, thank for help and useful video for me 😊
Thanks man. I was reading comments while completing instruction. After reading a few comments I actually got a heart break BUT the third one worked for me. Now here comes the fun part i.e you got a new subscriber!
Omg I did all the steps and when you got to the samsung SD adapter part. I was like omg I got the same one ! And then you showed that switch on and off and I was like *face palm* 😭 I shouldve watch the video through first lol haha
It's very sad that none of your method works for me my usb is not showing in my computer while formatting it is showing i/o device error diskpart is also unable to format
None of your fixes worked for me I have a write protected sd card and I went to the folder with the files I wanted to delete and right clicked went to properties and in the general tab went down to read only and clicked on the box for read only to unselect it and hit apply it then came up with a box that said disk is write protected and I clicked on ignore seems to be working. Hope this helps.
Hurray !!!! Thanks you sooo much sir.. THE THIRD METHOD WORKS REALLY. I thought that was the switch for preventing the card falling down. But Its not. Thanks again sir.. You got a new subscriber...
First method worked perfectly fine, although it was a micro sd, but somehow it was stuck with that attribute even if it doesn't have a physical button unlike the normal SD. I think the micro sd card got screwed by those adapters and even if i used the adapter with the button switched off, the protection wouldn't go away. That first method worked perfectly! Thanks!
I feel the same way. I tried the first two and was like F@#$ this. Then looked at the lock switch and the mother effer was locked. I just got rid of the adapter and it worked!! 😂🤣😂🤣
Amazing! thanx alot its really such a helpful video to fix this problem. through this video i have fixed the problem around 10 mins in one go. grateful buddy. Regards
Write Protection Switch on my SD Card adapter seemed to be stuck. I swapped out the adapter and made sure the Protection Switch was in the unlock position (as seen on this video @6:30) and it worked like a charm... I too found the video useless... Best of Luck
There is only one way of solving this problem which is, when inserting the adaptor to the pot of the system, push it to the direction that has cut on the adaptor(push it to the lift side of the adaptor pot) as u finally insert it. That is all

*SOLVED* This may not apply to your specific situation. I was using a SD card adapter, connected to an SD port USB adapter, because the info was stored on a microSD. The culprit was the SD card adapter. I noticed that the SD port USB adapter also had a slot for microSD cards. So I took the microSD card out of the SD card adapter and just slid it directly into the microSD slot of the USB adapter and it worked! The SD card adapter must have put up some sort of barrier or prevented efficient re-formatting. Note that the SD card adapter was NOT in the physical 'locked' mode AND that I had done what all these other websites and videos had told me to do (CMD prompt, regedit, etc).

Hello Tech Zaada, i am Francis from Malaysia. I would like to thank you for sharing this tips. It is really work! I follow the step on that regedit. Now my protected disk issue settled. As my appreciation, i already subscribe to your channel and like this video. I am not a tech guy, but you tutorial is clear and easy to follow and i made it finally. You really made my day. I can’t thank you enough. Please continue share informative tech tutorial and God Bless. ☺️
thankyou very much..ive spent 3 hours using regedit , cdm, install software and multiple restart pc..i found out the real problem is i dont switch the card reader..
POTENTIAL FIX, READ THIS! None of these 7 things helped unlock the write protection on my micro SD card. Changing the micro SD card reader managed to unlock it and I was able to do what ever I wanted to it. I went from using an SD card adapter to straight into my multi card reader(plugged into USB). Another thing, if you are using Windows 7 there is a different registry location you need to modify to potentially unlock write protection. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Services then select USBSTOR, then double click on start, in the box enter 3. Then close the registry editor and restart your computer. May or may not help you. This did not help me either, however changing directly to the card reader(can read 6 different types of flash cards) and removing the SD card(with microSD card port built in) from the equation worked for me. Hope this helps.
thank you for your time and researching all this, you did some hard work. Unfortunally my usb is unusable and I need to kick the bucket and get another one.
The easiest way to remove write protection from pen drive or SD card → bit.ly/3ybFQxa
I've tried all 7 methods and none of them solved my problem. After all I solve my problem using method #8. Method 8: Purchase a new USB flash drive and get a sledgehammer and beat the crap out of the old one. Quite satisfying after all.

@@Sasmitadas19750

@6:10 the value should be 0 not 1. I changed it to 0 and it fixed the issue. If you think about it, it’s a bit, so by setting it to 1, you are write protecting it.
Thanks for information

You should include "That still doesn't work at all" in the title of this video as you displayed while using every single one of these ways.
8:10 it already show format error occurred so why you were waiting for.
No matter I try it still not removing the write protect

This is a really good tutorial even though it didnt work for me it was fun following your instructions. :)
