I think it's good enough. Yes, some things could be better, but it's at least apparent that the writers were trying their best to retain the spirit of the original for their adaptation. I very much enjoyed what they did
No live action will be better than animated. It is pretty good in my opinion, what they did was, they're trying to rush things, I don't feel any relationship building with Katara's bro on each of every kiss.
netflix's one piece is better than the animated version in my opinion, because it really needed to rush things, the pace of the anime is so fkn awful, it takes an eternity to move the plot forward, and there are ppl that like that and i respect it, but not for me, netflix's version works so much better for me.
Seems like everyone is a critique these days. No matter how good something is there are always people suggesting that this and that should've done differently and just try to find flaws while ignoring the good aspects.
The filmography and overall effects, audio etc... Were perfect. They just made their own story and lore. Ignored most character's motivations and invented something different. It should be named "avatar what if". Is not avatar the last Airbender, that's my only critique. Aang is not Aang, sokka is not sokka, and katara is someone else. There's no excuse to change the inner aspects of a character, period.
If they make it more fun and less intense, i will give it 10/10 for sure. They need to learn from thor director for how to make the movies serious, yet fun to watch.
Yes. Why? 1. They pronounced the character's names correctly 2. The fire nation actors are Asian, not Indian. Also the Water Tribe actors look like Inuits. 3. Fire benders can make fire out of nothing; they don't need a source of existing fire 4. There aren't any scenes where 6 earth benders send 1 tiny rock into an enemy. 5. The action scenes aren't filmed in one long shot. The camera changes multiple times. 6. The characters all are given dimensions and arcs, rather than being cardboard cutouts who only describe exposition. 7. Although it's not perfect, the CGI looks convincing enough. 8. There aren't any huge martial arts routines before bending any element. 9. Aang actually introduces himself right at the Southern Water Tribe, rather than waiting until they were at the Southern Air Temple 10. Most characters from the show are included, although some episodes are hodge-podged together. 11. The Fire Lord actually looks and acts very intimidating, although we see his face from the start. Then again, we knew who the actor was so there was no point in hiding him like the show did.

"At least it's better than garbage, yea that's all I've got to say" 😂
🤣
it's nothing like the animated tho, they changed quite a few things, cut content and dumbed down characters.
I agree with your opinion but I’m okay with we got. But the changes are weird not gonna lie

I wish it felt a little more raw in the costuming and character personalities.
