I’m Italian too! From Palermo! Came to California when I was 19 years old! And seeing Your videos makes me so happy and remains me home and my Nonna! Thank u for all u do! ;)
Palermo - lucky you. La Sicilia is so beautiful. My dear friend Dina comes from Sicily. I'm so pleased to hear that my video made you happy. That warms my heart. xx
My nonna and nonno were born near Palermo . While visiting Italy about 6 years ago we stayed at a bed and breakfast in Pompeii on the 2nd floor. In the afternoon someone put a ladder up to our balcony and climbed up. It was the owner bringing us a bottle of Limoncello! I'll be making this cake. Bob D .
I had to lower the temperature of my oven because it would otherwise almost burn (i have a smaller oven maybe?) but otherwise i found the cake really easy to do and extremely delicious. It's even better the next day after cooling down. Thank you for this recipe, i will try others from you.
I have made your wonderful cake so many times, it is my family's favorite! I watch your videos with my 3 year old daughter and we cook with you, whenever we start a recipe she says, "Mama where's your friend?" (YOU!). I would love to adapt this for a diabetic friend of mine, has anyone tried that yet? I was thinking maybe Splenda....
Grazie mille cara Mary - your daughter is so sweet! Thank you so much for sharing that with me. I haven't tried it with Splenda, but if you do, let me know how it works out for you. Baci e amore bella! xoxo
Thank you for such a wonderful recipe. I love when you share your memories as you teach the rest of us your recipes. That’s also a lesson on how we should live life. Go back to happy memories once in awhile and visit the past. You are a very special person. Salute Nona Mia!
Oh Nonna you are SO adorable!! Watching your video made my heart happy. I got my love for baking from my Baba (Czech) though she was not as enthusiastic as you when she baked LOL. I bought all the ingredients for a Limoncello Ricotta Cake but LOST the recipe! I jumped online to find one that used the same ingredients and found you. It was meant to be as I am your newest fan. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and God Bless you Nonna 8)
Sorrento is such a beautiful place! My family is from Cosenza and Reggio but we always take a beautiful train ride to visit Sorrento when in Italy. I will definitely have to try this recipe. Thank you nonna! You're the best
Oh Nonna Mia! I can't wait to try this, and then your Cannoli (I don't have any bamboo tubes, but will have to try something instead). I have watched a few of your videos now and I am so addicted to your channel. All the best and a thumbs down to those that have given you a 'thumbs down' as I can't fathom as to why (they must be jealous). You are beautiful!
Oh bella...I am so grateful that you are watching several of my videos. Thank you for the super sweet words. For the cannoli, you can buy stainless steel tubes online - we tried them. I prefer my bamboo but they are also good. Let me know if you try a recipe or two. I would love to hear how it went. A presto cara ... baci!! xx
Just made this for Easter Dinner with friends in Singapore. Everyone loved it. It was such a wonderful time watching your video, and making the cake. There were a few people there who knew your daughter Josie and we toasted both of you Buon Pasqua!
Wow! That's wonderful. It really warms my heart. I love Singapore - I visited Josie there a few times. I will share this with her. She will be so happy too! And to think you made my Limoncello cake there, is wonderful! A presto cara Stacy! Buona Pasqua a voi tutti!! xx

Would you mind sharing what the brand of limoncello you have there is ? I would love enjoy it again. Thank you so much for creating these wonderful videos.
You are so right!! It is much more lovely in Italy. When we summered there we would make our own!!! In this recipe I used Rossi D’Asiago. It’s what available in Orillia/Ontario. That’s where I live. Where do you live? 😍
Thank you so much for sharing the brand of limoncello ! I live in Atlanta, Georgia. I will look around to see if I can order or locate this brand 😀. Love your videos! Thank you for sharing your passion and love. 🍋🍋
The cake looks very yummy would love to make it as I made some home made limoncello. Can you please tell me is it plain flour or self raising flour. Thank you and I’m enjoying your recipes a watching ll the way from Australia.🙏🏻♥️🇦🇺
It’s a lemon liqueur. You don’t have to use it. You can substitute with lemon syrup / lemon juice and sugar brought to a boil and cooled - if you prefer.
Nonna, your recipe looks amazing!!! My son has been asking for a limoncello cake. Is this cake very dense or heavy after cooking? My son loves anything lemon! It looked so yummy and I believe i have most of the ingredients except for the fresh lemons we just ran out!!

Australia. Wonderful. Which part? Flour is plain. Baci. 🤗
Is almond flour the same as ground almonds?
Almond flour has skins removed.
Nonna Mia! Mi domando se si può fare in forma di “cupcake” ? I wanted to make these to bring into my daughter’s school.
Sweet of you. Si cara. 😍

Me too!! It is on the dense side given the ricotta and almond flour - toward the pound cake side. But so so delicious. 🥰

Grazie cara - yes, I am lucky to have beautiful aprons. Most of them have been gifts. xox
