Just fitted the tail tidy to my bike. Easy to do just as George describes it. Took me a couple of hours ( I’m knocking on a bit and I’m not as dexterous as I was 😀). I am so pleased with the result looks much better to my eye at least. I did find that I had to fit a couple of nuts between the number plate and the bracket to allow clearance for the screw heads that hold the reflector plate on not really an issue but I didn’t want to spoil things by bending the number plate. All in all good job TEC Bike parts 👍
Just fitted it. Before, Meteor looked as if it had its tail tucked under. Now much better looking. Fitting was pretty easy following the excellent video. I’m very pleased.

Had a right mare blowing cheap Chinese relays in my Honda dax when swapping out the original indicators for leds.

Very nice kit. Would you consider making a luggage rack to replace the pillion pad? I'll never carry someone and a rack would be in keeping with the style of the bike. As an aside on another video I saw ventilated side panels on your Interceptor, will you be selling these?

Very subtle with the colour coding on the indicator wires. A sea shipping theme? Green for starboard (right) and red for port (left). :-)

How beautiful your product is, it makes the ugly back look neat, I wonder why RE doesn't think on these lines...
Fitted mine today, a bit fiddly and I couldn't get the bolts for the reflector drop bar that were from the original indicator bracket to go through the holes in the bar, I had to open out the holes up a bit. Also the shrink tubing is a bit big diameter, it could do with being just big enough to sleeve over the connectors so it shrinks enough at the ends to be tight around the wire, the ones currently at full shrink are loose at the ends. I packed mine out with silicone grease to be sure.
I also cut the bottom bit off the original internal guard just below the wiring grommet and refitted it as it was originally so it shields the three bolts and the wiring where it goes through to the lights from road spray . Lots of copper grease on everything for good measure and it looks a million times better.

Great vid. I just wonder why there are soooo many different wyas of how they installed the wiring under the rear fender!! RE, get your standards right. My rear red reflector plate wasn't even bolted on: the plastic of it rear had just been melted down through the mounting holes. Horrible

Good work dude. Idea for int 650. How about something to enable locking the rider pegs in the up position. This would be handy when pulling the bike backwards so they don’t hit your shins.

The metal “clips” on the underside of my rear fender are welded on. Any other way to gain more slack for the wiring?
George, what’s the weight difference between the two assemblies please? I know it’s not about weight, it’s more about aesthetics, but it would be interesting to know 👌🏻👍🏻
Lovely quality stuff..Can you organise a rev counter so we can get rid of the ridiculous tripper that seldom bonds with a phone and I never use but a rev counter! ? Now that would be brilliant or even just a clock that doesn't need the Google maps you can't connect to to update the time..a lot of hype for the tripper which is just a trinket as far as I'm concerned..Fab videos .Also waiting for a de cat full exhaust that doesn't have To come from India in black Chrome please 😁😁( no pressure there then!! )
I noticed after fitting that the threaded part and nuts of the indicators are exposed and looks untidy. Is there any chance a cover can be made to protect this area and tidy it up.
How about forward controls for the Meteor? Is it possible?

Really like this tail tidy kit, but would like to know what the distance is between the two blinkers, just to avoid any problems with the TÜV here in Germany.

Just fitted the kit, no real problems, but beware of the threads of the indicators they can easily scratch the mudguard, I put tape around them.

Hi there, I've seen a couple of your videos and I`ve seen you use barend mirrors, and now you have them on the meteor, I`m interested in applying them on my bike, however, I don't know how good they are. Based on your experience, are they good?, how do they affect your visibility?, would you recommend them to a new ryder(myself)?. Do they provide the same service as the stock mirrors, and when facing downwards, do they work ok, or they are purely esthetic?

I use them on most of my bikes . Not just because they look good , but as they give a great rear view (especially our E marked version that has a slightly larger mirror)

Why are the reflector bracket holes offset. My ocd would go mad
because the locating peg on the reflector is offset. once tucked up under the plate you cannot see this
If the right indicator is a green connector and the left indicator is a red connector then RE has copied the colours of lights on a ship. Green is starboard and red is port.
Ah it's all a matter of taste I suppose!

Can you still get away with one of those stick-on mini reflectors which fix directly to the plate? Save a tiny bit of weight (& materials cost with the bracket) as reflectors on motorcycles seems a bit of an anachronism!
