Come along with me as I describe to you what it’s like to work at an Amazon fulfillment center. It’s very hard fulfilling work.. it’s definitely not for the faint of heart!

Try liquid IV to water. Epson salt for feet( a little green package) I also wear a back brace with posture control. Been with Amazon for one month , and I'm 47 young lol
Wow! I’ve never heard of liquid IV…the epson salt is my daily ritual 😂 I’ve tried the back brace … it works wonders but makes me sweat .. sounds like we’ve been working here the same amount of time… best wishes to you! 🤍🤍🤍
@@ALLTHINGSARRIE yes ma'am. I started in September at Sortation Center. It's part time position. The Liquid IV does help and it's hydrates quickly. It has extra electrolytes. I just started taking turmeric . It's used to reduce inflammation. Hope you continue to do well. God bless

Baby stowing tore me up. The first 3 4 days took me out. The building is football fields long. I lost weight between walking and moving non stop. I didn't like water much but after working there I started drinking it due to me sweating so much.

Week one down!! Congratulations on getting that cert girl!! Sleep with your feet elevated under some pillows and put ice on your ankles when you get home... also Epson salt soaking is amazing! Get it girl!! Happy you're loving it!! Go gluten free!! I lost all that weight from doing it and it reduced a ton of inflammation!!

get compression socks!! nurses wear them during there 10-16 hours shifts of standing the whole time they help with blood circulation so your legs and feet wont swell and hurt also get insoles for your shoes

I purchased compression socks too. Only work max 5hrs , but it makes a difference in my opinion.

May I suggest praying to the MOST HIGH to take away your pain BEFORE it even starts. Just talk to him from beginning to end. You are going to be so toned and look even younger than you do now. Sweat those impurities out and make that skin glow while drinking all that water. PLUS you are getting paid!!!!!! YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!

I'm 55 I tried the fulfillment Center as a stower I lasted 1 day but also my car acted up n it was too far ... So now I applied for Amazon Fresh better location n a flex schedule 5 hr shifts I think I'll be able to endure better n as I get acclimated to being on my feet I'll sign up for more hours .

Aww thanks for your honest review, I was planning to start with Amazon to get extra income but I’m afraid I won’t be able to do it due to my back issues.
If I you did I would definitely consider it temporary….. it’s very hard on the body long term
Enjoyed watching. Make sure to take care of your body, you only get one. Amazon will break a human, and they are going through us like one drinks a glass of water. Like one person said, stay prayed up for you to have the endurance. Get some Aleve, works wonders for the lower back pain and a back support brace.
Blueberries and walnuts are great anti inflammatory items to eat.
There is another African American woman that vlogs about her job at Amazon. She has been there two years and 61 years old. Blessings!

It’s literally not that serious. There’s mad jobs in Amazon that are laid back. Become transportation associate y’all picking the hard end of things.

Of all the roles that Amazon creates for it's employees it needs in each fulfillment center a dedicated therapy room to be maintained to Covid standards so people young and old can stretch properly, use cold packs and stim devices. Zappos is fine, but proper shoe/foot inserts address a person's step, gait, feet to insure health and wellness. Safety is a broader term used, but its about attention. You cant spend the money if you turn into a zombie by day four of the workweek.

This is my third video watching about their first day working on Amazon and the last 2 give me doubt if i can do it? and your’s gives me more courage to do it other says its a trash working there. Awesome, very encouraging. This my 2nd week, I'm hanging in there. I'm 63 year old, the stowing is easy, but my feet hurts dearly. What's help me is pain medicines, cream on my feet, and energy boost.
Yesss! Those things really help.. I also had my feet evaluated and found out that my arches are falling… I have to wear the correct insoles and socks for treatment… I’ll be making a video soon about this 🤍

If Amazon wasn’t all about making rate every 10 seconds. Would be nice. Should be make rate every other 40 to 50 seconds. More believable. Because the work is endless. They expect you to do your job every 10 seconds. Inducting, rebinding, packing. Bruh… We ain’t robots. We need 1 to 3 minute breathers. You don’t even get any breaks while working. Make rate every 10 seconds. Make rate, make rate! I worked there for a whole year. Met lots of cool people, they quit long ago. I just quit 7 days ago. Everyone looked dead inside. I couldn’t see my fellow coworkers looking dead and depressed anymore.

Amazon is a good job if you are working in a grocery warehouse, if you are doing full time you just have to get used to the hours, all you need is some good insoles and a good back brace 👍 good luck!

Congratulations to you! They provide a budget of about 120.00 with Zappos of composite shoes… but the shoes in this video were purchased at Skechers… super comfy

Stay strong - Working standing up is not necessary a bad thing when you get used to it and you will. It is better for long term health

Yeah when I worked 12 hrs in the hospital, it took like 3 months for my feet to stop hurting so bad, so, yeah, it's def a break in period. But I'd say get those good shoes, compression socks, and a back brace.

I'm on day 3, feet hurt so bad I had the shakes and I also have degenerative arthritis. The pain is unbearable.
Oh no! Get the bio freeze and spray your feet.. I also spray on my breaks and take a pain reliever … it does help… I just made a new video that I’ll probably release the end of the week saying that week 2 wasn’t as bad as week one.. … but that pain is truly horrible… I hear happy get insoles are supposed to be good too
I don’t mind being on my feet, but I have to be moving, not standing. I’m thinking of applying, but only part time.

Is this job only for those who, for example, still live with their parents so they don't have to pay for an apartment, bills, etc. or like to have an extra income? Can you live normally on your monthly salary?
I no longer work there... but my step son does... he's making about 18.65 per hour with tons of OT... depending on where you live and salary
I just got hired with flex shift. I’m a massage therapist doing this as a 2nd job. It’s kinda slow. I hope I like it bc I want something that will keep me in shape. I like working alone n I’m an introvert. I’m supposed to get a $3000 sign on bonus.

@@ALLTHINGSARRIE Yes!!! I love it. I wanted packing so bad, but I told myself trust where the Lord put me..and he put me in packing!! The first 2 days they had us work 10hrs and that was tiring, but now that I get to pick my own schedule I’m good.

Hi Sasha, what option did you pick that allows you to set your own schedule?
@@LalaLynn18 👋Flex schedule. It’s basically like a block of shifts usually 2.5-3.5 hrs blocks and you pick the shifts. It’s cool though bc they offer a lot of incentives to work certain shifts that don’t apply to regular employees. You get benefits with Flex also called RT. It’s basically part time with benefits. I think regular pt no benefits n don’t get to work when you want a girl said last night. She said RT Flex min 30 hrs required a week, but reg PT is minimum 4 hrs only a week.
One of my cousin in laws work with Amazon, she calls it the slaughter house

Did you have to take an assessment test before you got the job? If so, is it like an exam? Is there math or brain games? Is it a personality test? Just curious if this is something to study for!
Yes there are test… that’s why it’s so important to do your orientation… watch every video! On your first day of the job you will watch videos and you will be tested on the videos that you watch. There is one test that you have to pass to continue with the hiring process. As long as you’re paying attention you will do fine. I think you’re give 3 chances to pass.

It would have been on the notification of the job as well as in your offer letter. I know that my facility is brand new and I live in the South… don’t know if that helps you any

You can but it has to be clear. They do provide a clear small backpack for a few items
