    8:00 嫩不止用在肉哦,蛋羹、豆腐等软软口感的也可以用。另外有些通常是有偏硬口感的蔬菜,它们的鲜嫩版本也可以用,比如嫩笋、嫩姜、嫩玉米。

    口感 ❤
    I particularly loved fhis short content about culinary characteristics of Chinese food...Food is revelatory of people's Culture and History.
    You seem like a connoisseur 💪✨✨🐟🥢💚

    The funny thing is that here in Italy chinese food is stereotyped as "all fried" and very heavy 😅

    • @cinajawa
      @cinajawa 7 місяців тому +1

      That’s the reputation of Italian food in the US: carb heavy (pizza and pasta) and lots of cheese.

    • @AelwynMr
      @AelwynMr 7 місяців тому

      @@cinajawa carb heavy is definitely true, lots of cheese I wouldn't say so, though probably the Italian American version of our cuisine is!

    • @cinajawa
      @cinajawa 7 місяців тому

      @@AelwynMr right. It's the localized / Americanized version. Just like heavy Chinese is the localized / fast food version.

    0:14 "what your eating". Thank you so much for your incredible lessons, my Chinese improves greatly, but I don't want my English to deteriorate in the meantime. As a language teacher you would understand how frustrating these mistakes are.

    Another thing to add is the way food is cooked: 1) 生 (raw,uncooked) 2) 炸 (usually deep fried) 3) 炒(stir fry) 4) 蒸(steam) 5) 炖 or 熬 (brew, usually soup base or desserts) 6) 烤 (roast, BBQ) 7) 烘 (bake), 8) 煮 (cooking) 9) 掩 (marinate, preserved foods) are the common ways. Another to mention is the final outcome of food can be over cooked ( 太熟) or not well cooked ( 不太熟 ). Other things like condiments ( 调味 ). Idiom to describe: 色香味俱全 (color, scent and flavour are present - delicious, impeccable)

    Is Beijing Roast Duck still called "Peking Duck" in China?
    I thought they no longer use the colonial name Peking, and the Duck is called Beijin Kou Ya.

    • @chinchang5117
      @chinchang5117 7 місяців тому

      They may have changed the name of the capital (from Peking to Beijing). But I don't think they have changed the name of the dish, so yeah, it is still Peking Duck.

      Yes, but it's rarely used; perhaps it can be used to describe the taste of lemon, fruit ciders, etc.

      You're translating it too literally, to the point that you're saying something completely different (and grammatically incorrect) in Chinese. The correct version is much shorter: 我要点一个三明治,送到我家。

    花椒的“麻”用英文怎么说?

    • @MandarinBlueprint
      @MandarinBlueprint  5 місяців тому

      “麻辣” 和 “辣”都是 "spicy",所以英语没有办法区别;单独的“麻”字则是 "numb", 即 “麻痹”的意思,或者是 "hemp" “麻叶”的意思。
