A trick I found at the restaurant is that instead of pointing to the menu while telling the fuwuyuan what you want, don't point at all! It forces them to really listen to you, and so you can check if they can actually understand you. I live in Shenzhen. Thank you for such a great video.
Can there be a video about how to read menus in Chinese? I feel like its harder to understand once I had a menu, very confusing. Can be drinks/ side dish/ desserts, thank you, your videos always very helpful!

The last time I tried frog was at 蛙来哒, but I never knew that frog could be called 田鸡. I will have to remember that when my parents come to visit me, but I won’t tell them the truth until after they eat it 👀

hi! can some one explain to me this phrase (迟到了半个小时). i dont know the purpsoe of the word 了，半 ，个。
The “了”，in this scenario indicates a completed action, (as she was half an hour late)

I saw a channel pushing 麻婆豆腐 as a very authentic Chinese dish, so hearing it called 外国人点的菜 killed me
I think she was saying that westerners wouldn't order it, not that it's a westerner dish

@@Tulipanzo 麻婆豆腐 is really authentic chinese dish, but it's way too usual.they can cook it at home as good as in restaurant, why they eat it in restaurant 0-0;
they just want to have something special that they can not cook at home.
