hopefully, the little bits of super glue didn't render the seal unusable for the final glass. Great help for me as I continue my repair on a 912 that I am converting to pop-outs! Thank you so much
Are you happy with your chrome? . I live in SoCal and wondering if you got it done locally. My chrome guy passed away and I’m looking for a new chrome guy. If your happy can you please let me know who they are Thanks
Thanks, I had a friend that did what you did with mixed results. Had beautiful stuff mixed in with items that had sand marks in it. My chrome guy that died was the same but he always redid what didn’t look great. California sucks and chrome shops had gotten hit the hardest by the EPA Thanks
There's always more than one way to get a job done. Enjoy getting those slotted screws in straight while squeezing the frame with your other hand. 😃 I'm just showing an easy way that's all.
The Tool Whisperer strikes again. LoL. Well done. Turned out very nice. Lots of bling.
Thanks, bling is good.
Beautiful
Those newly chromed pieces look nice. I like the jig you made to assist in assembling the qtr window back together too.
Thanks! I can't wait to get all this chrome back on the car.
Neat jig. Us one man shop guys always need extra hands. Nice job.

Thanks as always. We can never have enough clamps, and this is just another clamp.
I love the approach... I'm probably a few years from needing to do this, so I'm keeping good notes!
Thanks, the video should always be here on YT.
I knew these were difficult to get right and dreaded among the DIY crowd. Having that template is a must to get the job done.
Makes it easy if you ask me. Thanks for watching.
Awesome.

Cool, I haven't done 912/911 frames yet but I assume they are pretty similar. Super glue dots will break off pretty easy I hope. 😃
@@GarageTimeAutoResto yep well all the little bits are arranged the same way, probably just dimensional differences if any.
Tom…yet another tool! 😆 Love your attention to detail and your patience. Nice job!
Thanks!
Thank you for the info very informative!!
Thanks for watching!
Are you a SoCal resident? Do you offer assistance on 356 stuff via cell phone?@@GarageTimeAutoResto
Tom. Great tool. And the seal trimming explains why the hinge end has always been so hard to align the screws. Super job, get it ready for RENNSPORT
Thanks. Yes the seal trim on the corners is crucial. See you there. Not sure which car yet?
Hey Tom, cool tool! Any chance to get the data you used to machine / cut it? Thanks

The chrome is decent. Some pieces are going back for rework. The chrome was done in Mexico. Try Sihillings in Orange county.

Get a screw kit from Stoddard and you don't need a fixture to assemble these
