I think in time it will be turned around on women. Did you know there are more women on the RSO list than men. And women are more likely to call false reports than men? In fact some estimates (Can't confirm if this one is correct) Show that false reports of sexual crimes from women are now more likely to be fake than not. (Which is sad if it's true because it means women like her have now made it so common to false report that not believing a rape or assault victim is a better more than to just believe them and try to help them)
Women like her have ruined the world and made it worse for everyone, men and women alike

Most bears you encounter will leave you alone, most men you encounter will leave you alone. The question is which one do you think will be able to 1) do worse things to do 2) has a higher chance of doing things to you.

Fun fact, bears often begin consuming their prey while it is still alive.
EDIT: Well this blew up. Besides the fun fact, the question being offered is much much too open and vague. Not to mention, it seems, every person asking the question has already assumed that the man is there for nefarious and evil reasons but never states it in the question itself. It's just 'bear or man' for the question. You can not ask somebody a question as open ended as this when you're already making an assumption and not sharing that and then on top of that continuing to change/add context that was never there. That's why context context context. Don't be mad when somebody says 'man' because even a man asking another man is going to say 'man'. No sane person wants to be close to a bear in the wild.

I'm a girl, and I'd 100% choose a man over a bear. I hate this generalising, that "oh, a man will definitely SA you!!". Don't people see, that this is just a minority of all men? xdd Like, a bear has a 100% chance of killing you, and a man not. It's that simple.
(EDIT: Turns out, that the bear doesn't have 100% of attacking you. Not only that, but the percentage of the possibility of this to happen is quite low. My bad, and sorry for the misconception.)

It also depends upon how long the two of us have been in the woods, and what language we speak. Sure, there are some key indicators of Stop, Go, etc, within Body Language, but how can you trust someone you can’t speak to? Wouldn’t it be better to just kill them and not risk your own life? Edited for clarity (and again because of people taking offense to a word I guess?) She specifically and clearly stated that the assumption that every guy is like her husband is wrong, not that every man is not like her husband. There are a lot of really nasty men out there. I apologise if it offends you to be arbitrarily implicated, but maybe we ought to address the elephant in the room rather than the consequential implications of said elephant... To put things into context, there are 40 bear attacks worldwide every year and almost half a million S.A cases a year in the USA alone.
To clarify even more (can't believe I even have to...): No, I'm not saying all men are evil, or that no women are, or that a man is generally more dangerous than a bear in a 1 v 1 fight, I'm saying there's a reason why a woman might be mistrusting of the idea of some unknown man out in the woods with a 13 year old girl, and how this is not the same as thinking "all men". Not all people attack women, not all bears attack people. It's tossing a coin in either scenario, neither answer is unfounded.
In the last video, the point about not being believed is genuine. I personally know people DR'd and the police did nothing because apparently going to someone's apartment after a shift is consent to being drugged an assaulted, even though there were several witnesses.
For replies, please reread what I just said before you repeat the same point I was making about generalising just because what I said contradicted your bias. You're being ultra-defensive about something that merely implies your involvement when in actuality it doesn't.

Just give them an automatic shotgun and youd want to pick bear every time. You are not surviving another human trying to murder you with a gun, but you may survive a bear attack if you play dead or the bear loses interest. This stupid hypothetical question comes with an assload of "what ifs" but if its a random bear in the world vs a random man in the world, a smart person would pick man as you're more likely to just run into a normal person, but a normal bear will still mess you up.

It is so ironic that by simply expressing that the hypothetical makes you as a man feel generalized, they will mock you for having feelings, body shame you (small penis energy), etc. The crazy thing is I understand why women would choose the bear. I just think that it is irrational and it is effectively choosing to be oppressed by bad men by allowing their existence to dictate your actions when the man is objectively a safer bet. And the fact that we cannot feel insulted by it is insane. If you want to send a message then be direct about it. Don't pose it in a hypothetical that can be interpreted as prejudicial. I get that there are some disgusting men out there and that violence against women is extremely disproportionate and I also understand that most men don't want to live in a world like that either. We have daughters, mothers, sisters, wives, etc. We have listened to these things all our lives. We are not ignorant of the particular challenges women have, but many of them have no interest in hearing us.

Bears rarely attack humans though. Every one is assuming the bear will just charge you as soon as he sees you which is wrong. If most women choose bear i don't think it's fair to assume they're all crazy. But rather ask do most women really have so many negative experiences with men?

A bear doesn’t kill you or sexually assault you. It starts eating chunks out of your body while you’re still alive, and while it’s holding you down. You’re not walking out of that to gain sympathy from anyone.

So here are the factors in either case:
    Bear Case:
    * You encounter a bear in the woods. Whether it is a Grizzly or a territorial Black bear, the chance of you being attacked is near 100%
    * Chance of survival being attacked: 75%
    Man Case:
    * You encounter a man in the woods. The chance that the man is violent towards you is 0.076% (381 violent crimes per 100,000 people. 80.4% of violent crimes committed by men, 25% of violent crimes are committed by a random stranger)
    * Chance of survival being attacked: 99.99% (U.S. Homicide rate is 7.8 per 100,000), Most violent crimes do not end in homicide.
I dunno, seems like a lot of answers to this question are perpetuated fearmongering and not really going off of any sort of statistics...

@@chonkyboi._. sexual assault is calculated as a violent crime.
also, that 80.4% of violent crimes committed by men, the vast majority of them are committed against other men. it's actually really, really rare for any type of assault, sexual or otherwise, to be committed against a women.
you have atleast a 90% chance of being protected and safely brought to society with the man. you have around that chance of getting eaten alive (bears don't bother killing their prey, they eat them alive.) with the bear.

You don't exactly need statistics for this...
      Man case:
      * You can talk to it and reason with it.
      Bear case:
      * It doesn't have the cognitive capacity for thoughts, let alone speech.
