it's nice to see oras content still being made. the soaring feature was one of my favorite parts of oras, so seeing someone hunt using it makes me verrry happy. gratz on the braviary!! ((o(^∇^)o))

Speaking of obscure shiny hunts. Are you not gonna talk about the gift latios or latias you get after defending it from team magma/aqua in ORAS???
There are some hunts on UA-cam and even a full tutorial, so I feel like this one's a little less obscure, however might be worth making a more modern video on it! For now, here's the tutorial:

@Testostyronne definitely needs an modern update. It's a very time consuming hunt and also a button masher for the ages, not to toot my own horn(totally mean to) but I've done both latios and latias with this hunt. I would get an average of 3 mins and 20 to 30 seconds with each encounter, my strategy was to trade over one of the pokemon I had caught or use my starter and trade it over to a completed game and train it to level 100 and use a area move to wipe of team aqua/magma pokemon. FYI if someone plans to do this I would suggest not using a pokemon that would have an ability trgger every battle like gyrados intimidate and others like it, also make sure not to bring pokemon that would level up from the battle. Of course most of these are obvious but I would just like to state it. If you do decided to make a more modern version, I will definitely watch.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Cute Charm only applies after the species of the Pokémon is generated, so Jigglypuff had no influence there and Braviary was still a very rare spawn.

That's a really interesting point if true, although I can't seem to find any information on it. From my experience using Cute Charm vs not using it, it really does appear to apply in the way I explained in the video as I noticed more rare Pokémon spawning much more often (I also used this in a Friend Safari with Wartortle, Frogadier and Bibarel and was encountering much less Bibarel). Of course this could be confirmation bias, but it felt legit. I'll definitely look more into this and get back to you!
Now the best way to show a rare shiny is through ribbons with gen 3 earth ribbon being the best one since most gen 4 ribbons got rereleased with bdsp and with pokemon banks time left ticking best to do those hunts soon.
