But I've seen the full second video I want to know those are doubles. Either way these are techniques that I would never be able to do in a million years, which is why I step two Church drumming and Country Music drumming LOL skill that you need in those genres but there are a lot slower and easier for me to keep up with. And don't get me wrong I'm not putting down country music drummers because they are some very skilled people, I'm just saying for me it's a lot easier for me to keep up with country than it is heavy metal. I can do some classic rock and some pop but it has to stay within a certain beat per minute for me to be able to follow it. I don't think that makes me any less of a drummer, just makes my skill levels at a different place. I've been at the skill level since I was 10 and there's nothing wrong with that.

If you can't get any volume out of your bass drum, and resort to using triggers to make up the volume - that's velocity replacement. Or tapping.
There are plenty of examples of drummers who can still get plenty of volume out of their bass drums past 220, but use triggers to help cut through the mix - because your bass drum note definition falls off a cliff at around 220.
