When will the complete kit (pipe section included) be available online? I only see the kit that does not include the pipe section at the online store .
I just wrapped mine after replacing the heads (in CA and afraid to mess with the exhaust system due to smog nuttiness here). Now the motor is overheating. It has a new radiator, fresh TOYOTA OEM coolant, and everything else the same. I THINK wrapping the crossover pipe is causing overheating, but I am not sure yet. I can find no information from anyone anywhere who has tried wrapping it. 😕
Wrapping won't cause you to overheat, i've wrapped before and no overheating issues. Also, its not the heat radiated from the crossover that is the concern, The 170 degree elbow is the choke point of the exhaust flow. imagine exhaust flow similar to the flow of vehicle traffic. If you drive towards oncoming traffic and then complete a 170degree turn. you're gonna be slowed down by the cars that are already moving the direction you're trying to go. that slowdown becomes the hot spot. also, don't forget to burp your engine from any air in the coolant, air in the system can cause an overheat even after replacing the heads.
@@Ru_90 As a follow up, I unwrapped it. Yet it kept overheating. I went through many different things with no luck. Finally, I removed the thermostat completely (hot weather) and it never overheats. My only conclusion is that it needs a much lower temp thermostat.
These 3vze engines require a tight fan clutch that isn't weak,, oem Toyota long life genuine 60/40 distilled water, a good radiator, 10w40 elevated zinc conventional oil. I'm using Driven or any elevated zinc conventional oil. I just drove my 3vez to Flagstaff az and back. Temps outside 108 degrees. My temp guage stayed below middle.
If using any other coolant, likely to experience corrosion..and oem Toy thermostat...I'm not running a cat. No inspection/emission required. Quiet 3chamber muffler. 5sp manual

it maybe. the heat has to dissipate but because it’s wrapped it’s stuck there’s
