Yeah thank u for this vid. Currently in my first semester of college and i really underesterimated my anatomy class. I messed up horribly on my first 2 exams but got an A in my last exam but most likely im going to get a C. So yeah in going to withdraw and go at it full focus in the spring 😭🙈
Haha same
In after next semester how much $ pay fees
love your videos, i always find them helpful and i learn something !
What if I might fail math but that will hurt my fasfa because it’s 4 credits and it will drop me from full time to part time
This is great advice
Hi Justin, question if this only applies to pre req classes. What about other course work (completely unrelated to PT) from a different program? Better to complete the quarter and drop out after or take the W's for the quarter? My plan is to switch to PT from what I'm currently doing
Hey! first off thank you so much for your dedication to this channel, it's helped me out a lot. I was previously pursuing a degree in computer science and absolutely hated it, I've withdrawn from 2 math classes (calc, then I passed it only to withdraw from calc 2.. oops) and an algorithms class once. Do you think these W's would be looked down upon by future employers or would they not care since it is not classes required for kinesiology? Thanks!
I should add that I am more interested in EP than I am in PT, not sure if that makes a difference.
Depends on your GPA. If you have a very high GPA and you retook so many lower level classes you might fool them in the hiring process. I have withdrawn and retaken classes but only two were below 200. One was a CS class after COVID summer. But before all of those withdrawals I excelled in almost all of my classes. COVID and BLM had a negligent impact on me.
This is me RN 😂
My lab practical is tomorrow and my exam is on Wednesday…. My brain is fried idek anymore
Quick question. When I was in the military i had to withdraw from 2 classes because of short notice requirements. I’m now out and going to university and ran into a challenging class that will tank my GPA.
Would you consider this my 3rd? Or 1st withdrawal?
First because you technically didn’t withdraw you were dropped due to reasons of the school not your own
I want to apply to PTA school, maybe DPT. My gpa isn’t good. I already graduated with B.S. in exercise science, also I have a A.A. From community college. Should I apply for another degree program just to retake courses at community college? I heard if I did that, my grades wouldn’t be replaced but instead the “new” courses would just be added to my overall transcript. I’m just not confident I’ll get accepted.
I was curious, if I withdraw from a class can I test out of it? Its a math class that isnt required for my degree. I took 18 credits working full time this math course is too demanding. I also dont wanna waste a semester doing 1 course to just get to the math class i need.
If it's a 100 level Math class yes. Btw the first two years are not going to be like the two years after. So if your major is easy now, wait. But it does not look good to employers that you can't do algebra or early level calculus.
@@W81Researcher right, I withdrew for medical reasons. The question was could I study to test out of the pre req class i withdrew from..so i wouldn’t waste a semester doing a class that doesn’t even contribute toward my degree. To your point of companies outlook on math has nothing to do with..I have to do those courses regardless. The amount of filler classes in college and required courses you have to take has always been wild to me. Ive been in my career field and dont even use basic algebra most equations are in excel when we do use them. I suppose alot of it has to do with money. I hope to college gear toward selective learning so students get more focused on the career area and relatable knowledge they can apply in real life.
Do you mean two W's in your entire college years or just two W's in the classes?
@@tabathajones5576what he say about that
That's me rn 😢
Literally my situation rn 😭💔
Lol😂
