I am a psychiatrist. While doing pg I was posted in Institute of Mental Health, chennai for forensic psychiatry postings... There was a case long back.. A gang of 6 English men I think we're arrested for harbouring weapons by coast guard in their ship and they were handed over to chennai police.. one of that English man was having heavy built like wrestler and he was very very problematic for police... Of course tamilnadu police were very cautious in being very polite because it was involving another national.... But that person was very very rude it seems.... He complained of rats and cats distubing him at cell. So he was transferred to to IMH for mental assessment. Usually there will be only two police personnel per shift in IMH for jail ward... Since they couldn't manage his arrogance, the police officials in very high rank deployed more than ten police personnel per shift duty so that at least they can make him sit in one place... In IMH also that English personnel was very very arrogant that to sedate him atleast twenty persons were needed as he was very dangerous... He assaulted other inmates, health care workers.. the reason for him being sedated was he attempted to bite live electric wire in his height of anger... During his court proceedings when he was repatriated to England, there in his court he gave testimony that indian jails are in horrible state in the aspect of hygiene... What was the judgement of his case was not known..... But the thing is his statement of horrible Indian jails was taken into account in case of vijay mallayya s repatriation to india... Intially I didn't believe this thing. But when media criticised the Indian government s action of giving video evidence of clean Mumbai jails for this vijay Mallayya s case in England court, then only I realised this incident as genuine.... You do a video about this too please please please please
