As a Brit, if returning all the artifacts Britain has stolen means the British Museum will be empty, then it should be empty. And even that wouldn't make up for all of the wealth Britain has stolen and the lives take.

Kohinoor was actually found in Kolleru mines near Krishna Delta in Guntur, Ap state. Golconda is in near Hyderabad but Guntur is 4 hours away. It is a disctrict which has large chilly production in Asia. Import, Export etc.
Never been much of a superstitious man. But every empire or dynasty who had that diamond, meet their ruin. When the British got it, they were the mightiest empire in that world. Within 100 year, they were reduced to oblivion. Some say, Kohinoor is cursed. But looking back it's history, can't resist myself from thinking if it's true or not.
Ain't 100 years a huge time to be a mighty empire?
@@BisboWorldnot this age, 100 years they lead their life with royalty
Every empire eventually runs its course, no matter what. No talisman can save it for ever nor can any cursed object destroy it just by itself. Their perceived effect is often in retrospection, just like how you have associated a repeating pattern, which is universal, with an innocent object. Our minds are quick to form associations and present hypotheses to the part of our brain which does critical thinking to accept or reject. When critical thinking fails, superstition find a soft target to establish itself.
No dynasty has lasted anyway since Kohinoor was found
Average age for even famous dynasties is max 200 years
"Never been much of a superstitious guy" is a lie lol
And people don't even remember Darya-ye Noor..

Though considerably less, this pressure has been there since decades
Not sure about diamond , but other antiques were saved by Western countries . Many antiques were destroyed by their own people due to lack of research and facilities.
That is in the past. What's now left, we should preserve that.
Who told western countries to save property of some other country by looting it from them
Its my property..or a country's property..they can do whatever they like with it

@charvaka5705 ignorance ?? A Buddha statue of thousand year old were destroyed in Afghanistan. Great leap forward in China destroyed their own past history and antiques, which Taiwan have managed to preserve half of it . Honestly speaking - this is not the Samyantak mani that was found in the Kollur mines - this is a reduced version of it. Yet if it comes back it should be returned to the rightful owner - Bhadrakali.
Bhadrakali -The Original Owner Of Kohinoor Diamond. As revealed by the scripts on the temple wall, King Pulakeshin II had established the shrine to celebrate his victory over the Vengi region.
I had heard too that the kohinoor was actually the Samantyak Diamond.

Air India signed a huge deal with Rolls Royce a British company for engines worth billions of dollars providing a boost to the dying economy of Britain. If somehow the Indian Government can put a clever strategy with these deals it can get the Kohinoor back.
Interesting solution. One artefacts deal per business/trade deal

The difference between a dharmic king and the adharmic ones; one offered the diamond right after finding it to goddess bhardrakali, others in their lust for its beauty wore it in their crowns only to perish and have their lineages reduced to rubble.
The drarmic king who offered it to the goddess perished as well & his lineages reduced to rubble, so what's the point?
The king did the religious gesture towards goddess as we Hindus have idol worshipping culture, something Muslims or Christians or sikhs do not. So they saw it nothing more than jewel that should be worn
What about Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Sword
That too surely
Which software you use bro for animation?
What would you, me or anyone here would gain from the return of the diamond? Informative video as usual though.
Why should every act, warrant a gain. Isn't it ours to start with?. And that's enough.
Thanks Varun. No individual gains of course. Only for society as a whole.
Actually what i feel is that it is better that these artefacts stay wherever they are right now as if the Brits decide to return it now the biggest question that would arise is to whom to return these items to...as many countries claim their right over several artefacts this would create a political instable situation for no reason and moreover if these items are returned back to india the dirty politics and the religious brainwashing that the politicians practice over here would definitely end up with the diamond finally being in Mr. Adani's house...or just in the case of Shivaji's sword the question arises that where would this be kept also there is no such infrastructure or facilities where these artefacts can be kept safely to be adorned by us and not just the politicians

I doubt India would get this back, considering how many more things need to be returned.
I agree that its Indias cultural heritage, but some would over extend the idea to ask for compensation or reperations from the UK for the damage done by colonialism.
If possible we need to form a treaty or agreement stating what needs to be returned and what we are willing to let go. Otherwise it could be gamed by unscrupulous.
That's fair. To come to a conclusion treaty and end the issue.
The issue was already ended when that king signed the doc to send it to the queen, weather he did it by pressure or not the deal is done, same as business !
Kohinoor is rightly British!

We need to bring it back and change its name to MaaKaalYoni

Didnt Maharaja Ranjit Singh willed it to Lord Jagannath temple in Orissa?
10 years back, no one could've thought that petrodollar would ever end, but now its a reality. With falling American and European economies and strong and stable leadership in Russia, India, and China, the world dynamics have changed significantly. The question now is when, not if, as far as looted goods during colonization is concerned.
There should also be check on smuggling of idols from temples

UK must return the Kohinoor only if India becomes an advanced economy.
There is a strong belief about the diamond that it is unlucky for men. Everytime when there is a new Queen or King they put Kohinoor in crown in British, but this year King Chales didn’t do it due to the on going issue about returning it. Whatever is in the museum is a duplicate show piece with less carats and the actual one is in the palace. Next king will be Williams. In his DNA they found that his mom Diana has an IndoArmanian lady ansector who was a servant to on Scotland man in Mumbai when East India company was there. Their daughter’s blood line is Diana.
So, throughout history, this so-called diamond does not belong to just one power. It passed on to a new owner during war.
So, to continue the history, India should declare war on tiny UK and capture the diamond. Let's begin the raft to call all those wanting the diamond back to India must volunteer to the fight.
Like and share so much so that it reached in every Britishers Handset.
Good for you 👏🏻😂
I say return the diamond to the Indian government.
I agree with returning stolen history but with some of the stuff actually stolen isn't not possible that it was bought or at some point brought over to the land in which it was found.
Modi is a ultra nationalist Person he will bring it back to our nation 💯.
Still the numbers of artifact's from India in the British museum is is not the real loot the actual price would havebeem kept somewhere safely
I'm generally not a superstitious person but this diamond has only brought destruction to it's owner.
Not sure if it'll protect from the eyes of a Devi in Golconda or maybe it'll bring destruction again.
The best place for the diamond is as an eye of Goddess Bhadrakali the sole owner and that's where it should return to.
It’s a moral responsibility for any country with ethics to return all the invaluable heritage artefacts looted ages earlier, where it originally belongs especially when the origin country is asking for it. Hence all the looted items should be returned back to India including Kohinoor which the whole world knows is looted from India.
Just return it !
Fact check : Kohinoor was mined from Kollur present day Telangana not Andhra Pradesh.
I am a Brit and i believe what doesn't belong to us should be given back ! No thinking about it needed just do it!
It was bought.... Do some research.
