I purchased the Quinn 14 piece socket set, I have yet to use it. All the pieces feel really solid. I believe they will be great cause you are not supposed to torque the hell out of spark plugs anyway. I dont ever see the sockets splitting at the grab points. Nice vid guys

The low profile sockets are made by a Taiwanese company Tien-I for Harbor Freight. These identical sockets are also sold by Astro Pneumatic, Ares, Husky and Sunex. They are great sockets. I own the Astro version of the 3/8 and just picked up the 1/2 metric ones from HF. I own the Capri 1/2 metric as well and unfortunately those do not have the ability to use a 22mm wrench on them like the Tien-I sockets do. These are about 60% the cost getting them at HF. The Quinn ratchet has identical internals as the Gearwrench 90t ratchets.

@@Ratchet313 ya but the Quinn head looks much bigger than the gearwrench 90t so wouldnt work in tight spaces as well. Ive seen many ppl say the gearwrench 90t is better than the gearwrench 120t, and the 90t is one of the better ratchets out there, especially for the price. An old coworker got the 90t kit that came with the long flex heads and the little stubby, they are great ratchets

I bought the Quinn 1/2 socket set, that compares to the Tekton set that I have at work, and it's really nice. The Quinn ratchet is a lot like the Gearwrench. Wouldn't shock me if the same maker. The quality for home use is really nice and price point is perfefct. Or at least for somebody just starting out. They aren't my favorite ratchets, but they are nice. The Tekton set at work is really nice too. More professional grade and the ratchets may only be 72 teeth and quick release, but man they are nice ratchets. Their flex heads are great.

@@PriceKustoms You won't regret it. There have been peopel saying they don't like the Tekton ratchets. Other than Quick Release, I don't get it. I like quick release, but I get others don't and their sets seem to only come with quick release.
That being said, I use their 1/2 and 3/8 drive ratchets professionally and I have 0 issues. They are great and set up for guys with big hands lol

After using the Gearwrench and Quinn for a couple of more weeks, I can say they are decent ratchets. I feel like the tolerance of the anvil is a little snugger on the Gearwrench, over the Quinn. The Icon and Tekon ratchets are better IMO. However, they all get the job done. I just like how refined the Tekton and Icons are for the price.

I have both same and metric and I love theses sockets. I have tons of snap on Mac and matco tools but I was in a position at like 6 pm and needed something low profile 24 mm and I grabbed theses and I was so impressed I went back and got the sae set. I also seen the strip socket sets from Quinn and grabbed both sets of those and there very high quality. Go grab you a set of the strip sockets too you won't be disappointed

Those are also called "nano" sockets. They need a 7/8" or 22mm ratcheting wrench (for this 1/2" set). Astro did make a nano ratchet for them (1/2") with a stop ring that holds the socket in the head. but stopped making them for some reason. They still have a 3/8" nano ratchet. I'm hoping Astro brings the 1/2" back or Quinn starts making them to fit these sockets.

When Hunter first did the ratcheting in the packaging, I counted 4 teeth per stoke. Given 34 strokes at 4 teeth per stroke I came up with 136 teeth for a full revolution - which is mighty close to 135 - meaning to ratchet a complete 360 degree revolution it take one and a half full motion on the ratchet itself - if this makes any sense...

The only thing i dont like about the quinn sockets is they dont have thre sizes stamped, just etched which will wear off.
As far as snap on impacts. They are garbage. Especially for the money. Every used set i have seen, the anvil end is always all worn and rounded out. They fit fasteners nice, but they just dont last on thr anvil end. For being that expensive, they should be much better. Pittsburgh impacts dont even wear out as bad as snap on impacts.
