As a teen I used to go to the same church with Miss Buyisile Mncina at International Tabernacle (Coates Valley) 🇸🇿. Used to admire her beauty, how she carried herself and her voice as she was on the praise team 😍. I'm so happy to see her flourishing and making us proud 🤗♥️. Thank you for this very insightful conversation.
Still struggling even now 3 years later after having a child, I was told not to cry during pregnancy because that will affect my baby and had to suppress everything I felt during that period, even after pregnancy had to force to being okay because I was breastfeeding for 2 years and now she is 3 and I love her so much, I am full time single mom and a student but sometimes it is bad esp the breakdowns, I don't know why they happen and sometimes I think maybe because I delayed everything I felt at that time and now it all comes back, I don't know why but I feel overwhelmed at times but Thank you for this God bless you. ❤
Excited for this topic! thank you for bringing a professional psychologist to the platform Mpoomy, l can't wait to have money and start therapy as well ❤️
This was such a beautiful episode! Every topic was explained so simply and insightful. My narrative has changed on mental health, that it’s not just centred around depression. Buyi is such a good teacher, we literally got a free session. Thank you for the nuggets! ❤
I enjoyed this conversation and I like that you brought in an expert. I also like how she explained mental health, people don’t understand that mental health is about the general mental well-being not necessarily mental illness.
Good conversation, I love it. thank you for touching on the important aspects of mental health, as broad as it is, it is still an important topic that should never be ignored.
i always enjoy watching your shows as they educate me in a lot of things. and this episode is close to my heart as there are lot of people who are suffering in silence.
Thanks for the information. Serenity for sure is the key, being able to drive your own boat!!!! In life u will meet people or circumstances that might challenge you burst but understanding how the mind works its Wow👏We need to be cortious who the driver is and how to. Thanks ladies for sharing 👌🏾
Hi Mpoomy, thank you for this episode. Before today, I didn’t know how much I was impacted by my pregnancy journey. I didn’t have the language to explain what I was going through mentally. I now recognize that mentally I was not ok pre-birth and post-birth. This episode has helped me recognise my own mental issues, which I now need to deal with.
I enjoyed this interview so much. I had to come and see the video as well. Thank you Mpoomy for bringing us such great content. What you do is so amazing.
Hi Mpumi Can I ask you to do it for males too. In my walk with the Comunity work, events that I host we also have boys to men they said they need more platforms where they can cry n share their challenges. They are human too do feel pain at times but societal beliefs n culture discourage them.Women talk but they bottle up.As we are building a better community let's remember boys and equip them as well.
I remember I commented on your video when you were carrying Zani, as I was carrying Zano☺️. It was just a huge change in my life, thank you so much for continuing this conversation of awareness about mental health. It is still frowned upon but I hope soon people will get a hang of it and it will be accepted.
I felt like Mpoomy asked some very valid questions which were left unanswered and shared very real insights like about our body’s and foot sizes etc after having kids which were not commented on. I would love to hear this topic again with more depth attached to it.
She defined mental health in a way I have never heard, this is good! She spoke about seeking insight, my question,is it insight to the problem? Like asking why its happening and taking note of patterns?
Currently going through all of this with no support from family or friends or partner. Instead I'm being insulted and told I'm a bad mother who is incapable of raising my baby. It's been 6 months of post partum depression and I just want to crawl into the nearest hole
Man can do better by pitching in and assisting with house chores guys, I can not be heavily pregnant Kube kukho umntu who depends on me with laundry, food and tidying of the house.
Mpoomy uba muhle kakhulu everyday angazi ngizochaza kanjani bakwethu🥰🥰🥰🥰
