So glad this one has been released! Mortarian is one of the most realistic characters in the 40k universe! Hypocrisy is a human trait! Self pity, jealousy, envy, anger, obsession, false love, oh Mortarian is full of all of it
I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees him this way. He got sooo much screen time in the Heresy and the Siege of Terra. Time he didn't deserve. He really does reflect certain people, the one's that have always pissed me off. Hypocrite, Proud, Arrogant, given gifts he neither earned nor deserved. I love your primarch and character videos as this. As for Mortarion, let's not forget that it was his trusted captain who betrayed him, his sons and sold them off to Nurgle.
His pride and ego let him to betray the emperor and not see he was manipulated by Typhon, just like the pride of Horus made him vulnerable to Erebus, but truly, they are the prime responsible for their own downfall (along with daddy big E who could have had a bit more daddy skills)
I believe it was a two way street. Typhon through most of the time stood by Mortarion, he was after all the first being Mortarion had ever witnessed truly fighting and defying their situation, ending in Mortarion himself being inspired to rise up and fight as well. I think it was Typhon that followed Mortarion into the heresy, however it effected them both differently and it was only inevitable that Typhon was to give himself over to the ruiness powers. I believe it was still Mortarion, who led them both into chaos.
@spartana1116 yo no disrespect but your comment shows me no one has robbed you of something truly important to you... it hurts an generates a hatred an drive like no other.
Mortarion was a champion to his people. The Emperor simply killed the overlord, to become Mortarion's new overlord, commanding him, controlling him, forcing him to fight, to kill those who did nothing wrong to Mortarion’s people. Mortarion's hate was justified, the Emperor destroyed all those who didn't bend the knee, he was worse than any other tyrant, he didn't just lord over a world, a population, he ravaged the galaxy in his pursuit to control the galaxy.

Absolutely brilliant, once again. Could anyone point me towards the choral piece that plays at roughly 42:50, during the confrontation between the three Primarchs? It's hauntingly beautiful!
He's the only primarch other than perhaps Lorgar, if you want to bring Erebus into the whole thing, that turned due to being backstabbed by his own subordinate and then STILL got the upgraded Gifts of chaos. I mean Typhus is a certified grade A planet killer on his own, but despite serving up his entire legion and primarch to Nurgle on a platter, Mortarion is still the one with the "Grandfather's favorite" sticker.

We march for our Pale King. Onwards for Barbarus. ONWARDS FOR OUR FATHER, MORTARION.

BRO I KNEW IT, THEM VOICE EXCERPTS TOLD ME EVERYING
Great job as always. Thank you for your time and effort on being this story to life.
I despise Mortarion's character development, but it truly is a human one. Sometimes people do become what they despise the most.
Oh boy... this will gonna be epic!!!
The Khan always has the sickest burns in Warhammer 40K, even to the point of death.
That 40k music in the background is awesome
Massive fan Mr King, Please do Eisenhorn for your next project.
The Khan's voice actor is phenomenal
Mortar'ian: the universe is nothing but survival of the fittest. (Proceeds to almost die and fail)
"Game chat: The Emperor (Giant flaming sword) kïl|ed Nacare"
The Emperor: GG EZ CLAPS NO RE GIT GUD SCRUB!
Mortar'ian (25 assist points): I HATE YOU DAD!!!!!!!
Leaving behind slow ships must have pissed off the Mechanicum
Absolutely brilliant, once again. Could anyone point me towards the choral piece that plays at roughly 42:50, during the confrontation between the three Primarchs? It's hauntingly beautiful!

I KNEW YOU WERE HANDSOME
Keep the good work, king, you are nailing it!
Mortarion isnt a bad character, he's a victim of bad writing [mainly from an author that loves Loyalist Space Marines more than any other faction] 😪
he has reverse plot armor.
@@codywitt8685I feel like that's the case for Chaos in general, too many Imperium fanboys at the kitchen.
Saw Magnus vid before this.. laughed when Magnus healed Morty 😆.. thank you for the hard work!!! THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!!!!
I love it, thank you. It was the sad story of bitterness.
Gah! the voice of horus when AVoxInTheVoid did the reading of "The FInal Battle" has burned THAT voice of horus in my head but Chris still did a good job
You are my favorite 40k tuber great stuff as always
