Something about the White Scars really put things into a perspective of just how much the war between Primarchs hurt them, seeing their bonds be broken and the rippling effect that their powers, sons and their very lives had on humanity and Galaxy at large.
Chris Wraight's notes at the end of 'Warhawk' make for fascinating reading. The Heresy White Scars are almost totally his creation because nothing much was known or planned for them. To turn Jaghatai from an unknown to, arguably, the most loved primarch is something Wraight deserves a lot of credit for. 'Path Of Heaven' is possibly my favourite book of the series although 'Vengeful Spirit' is a close contender.
how the fuck is there no shows or movies of these golden bit of amazing stories... like there so much amazing shit this stuff made me feel so much emotion through out the viceo it was bloody fucking awesome ... god damn it were our bloody Khan 40k show?!
From a primarch I knew little about to one of the best character among his brothers. Jaghatai has really been given justice by the Horus Heresy and Siege of Terra books. A character both simple and complex, posessing quiet intelect and critical mind. When other Primarchs boast or rage, Jaghatai observes in silence. Never caring for accolades, living his own truth in a galaxy that would dash all lofty ideals all the same. In my mind, he never wanted to live in a complicated world. he wished for warriors at his side, and endless horizon under a clear blue sky. He would never be granted his wish, not in the Imperium his father was making, yet he did his duty regardless. Hai Chogoris.
Thanks for this! I love the Khan, especially as a Biker myself! He is my 2nd favourite after The Lion, they both have incredibly badass fights with Greater Demons 😈

God I have listened to this so many times now and every excerpt just invokes so much emotion its insane esp one with magnus' shard. The uncertainty within the Khan, praying hoping internally that there was a way to bring back his brother not caring about the strife that has been made. Magnus' shard starting off as being the devil's advocate forcing Khan to choose a side only to be caught off-guard then at the end chosing an end that at least to it would be a form of redemption.

My first book I ever bought was about the Whiye Scars, I never had a good idea on this chapter or the Great Khan, I loved it he’s very down to earth and a skilled fighter. I miss Yosugi (not confident on the spelling).
Just finished listening to this video and I really enjoyed it from start to finish, I really liked the job the "voice actors" did when voicing certain characters, I especially liked Jagkatai Khan's voice. It's really cool how the Khan's character was portrayed as a man who hates tyrants and hates traitors on equal footing but fought for his father because he made that decision for himself. I'm definitely going to make the White Scars one of my next Chapter projects, I have to finish off my Ultramarines army first before I can create a Loyalist Thousand Son's army.

@@lazylazymule That’s an interesting thought, I need to brush up on that part of the lore. It’s been awhile since I read about the trial. He is a character of few words but every one spoken is heavy and meaningful.
Right off the bat, I can see that Slaanesh wanted both Jagahtai and Fulgrim as servants. Placing them on worlds that would fit them "perfectly".
It wasn't Slannesh the placed them tho, it was the Bazinga Boi Chegorach.
@@mamamiia heh fulgrim got clowned on day 1
Originally Fulgrim was supposed to be on Chogoris, and Jaghatai on Chemos.
But Cegorach switched them and I’m guessing if he didn’t Jaghatai would’ve fallen while Fulgrim would’ve been loyal… and Jaghatai as a traitor will be more dangerous other than Fulgrim who just wanked off on innocent civilians and sniff drugs.
*honks levels intensify*
Jaghatai is my favorite primarch so I was really excited to see this drop. I've listened to it 4 times already. You are a very talented story teller.
Cheers brother! Your words mean alot!
The one Sensible Primarch, one could say.
Most of them had both redeeming qualities and fallacies. That is one huge thing that makes setting interesting.
Id say alpharius as well, i always liked his character
@@Dugong247 he's on some bullshit. Then again, with how secretive the Alpha Legion is, who knows if they were actually affective? Maybe they've been the key to keeping humanity afloat, maybe nothing would've changed if they didn't even exist.
@@Dugong247 Alpharius was arrogant to the point of almost insanity, he had by far the biggest Ego. He decided to betray the emperor because he thought that’s what the emperor would want him to do, he thought that the death of chaos was the emperors grand plan, but in reality, his fight against them is literally to preserve humanity and allow us to ascend. He literally betrayed the core reason he was created because he thought he knew better.
Then he tried to be all cryptic with dorn just to get killed with a mortal combat fatality move. Omegon is pretty chill tho, he’s probably one of the more well adjusted primarchs
@Ian Harrison you can be arrogant but still sensible, it may be the way his primarch novel was written but I felt like he looked at the world in a more black and white sense, same with pre corrupted horus, both were more open and accepting of certain things that the rest of the primarchs would've just had their blinkered view on
Can't wait to see you do a piece on Angron. After watching how you did justice to Curze, giving him all the depth he rightfully deserves, I really think Angron deserves the Amber King treatment as well
If his Kharn piece is anything to go off of its going to be amazing
@@williamhohmeister4841 kharn may have been more interesting than angron himself . But I only know the basics of angron lore so an amber king deep dive might change my mind about that
@@commissaryarrick9670 Angron is the most pitiable primarch, but also the most simple. Others met their downfall through time; Angron was doomed from the start. The rest was just raging in chains.
I'll admit I never cared much for the white scars, the never really took much of my interest but this really opened my eyes. The Khan is truly a badass to the core and one of the most human of the primarchs. They have definitely become one of my most liked Legions, can't wait to see who you do next!
He's great. During the Heresy he was the most reasonable of the Primarchs.
He and Guilliman are basically the only 2 adults among the 20(18) demigods.
@@NowioFel Lol yeah. Along with Vulkan
@@ironduke5058 true.. tho V from time to time spergs out with niceness
@@NowioFel I know people exactly like that lol
That exchange with Magnus in “Scars” was heartbreaking. Bravo to the voice actors. Masters of your craft.
I never cared for the Khan before, know I see how amazing he is. You are a truly great story teller
Magnificent, just magnificent. Not a huge Grim dark fan but I've gotten into getting some Warhammer 40k set boxes. Was looking for a faction with some heart and looked to the salamander, but by God, Jaghatai Kahn's story is glorious, heartfelt, and good. I've finally found a faction to dedicate to.
The Salamanders are also very interesting.
Oh boy, my favorite Primarch! Gonna enjoy painting my Scars Heresy army to this. Will update my post when I've listened to the whole thing.
Btw: "Scars" and "Path of Heaven" are *chef's kiss*
Edit: Absolutely moving, that is all I can say
Why are the Scars your favs? Just Curious, I main Blood Angels
@@NowioFel they have some of the best written lore (and books) in the Heresy.
They are also some of the more reasonable sorts when it comes to Space Marines. Their Primarch especially is a really interesting individual.
@@jw7500 Basically you are saying that Khan is an adult among most of the primarcs.
@@NowioFel Yes, but it's not just that. The Scars also have a few other really cool characters in Torghun, Shiban and of course Yesugei.
@@jw7500 definitely.
What do you think of Corax?
He's in the running for the most underrated primarch and legion with Ferrus and the Iron Hands. Very cool, love to see 'em on the tabletop.
You have become my favorite 40k lore King….. unbelievable how professional your content has become…. A story is just a story…. The story becomes a masterpiece when told by its teller…. You sir are what makes the stories become legends…. Omg can’t wait for your next Legend to be told.
Something about the White Scars really put things into a perspective of just how much the war between Primarchs hurt them, seeing their bonds be broken and the rippling effect that their powers, sons and their very lives had on humanity and Galaxy at large.
THE BEST Khan & the white scars lore video i’ve seen. Painted them in such an interesting light! Makes me want to start a force
You are one of the best 40K loremasters on youtube. Thanks!
how the fuck is there no shows or movies of these golden bit of amazing stories... like there so much amazing shit this stuff made me feel so much emotion through out the viceo it was bloody fucking awesome ... god damn it were our bloody Khan 40k show?!
Thank you Chris Wraight and thank you amber king this character and this legion really is a work of art.
I think the Warhawk is one of the most beautiful novels i have ever read.
This is going to be good. Really enjoying this channel's content thus far.
+1 here. Awesome content
I love your deep dives into the primarchs and your voice is just (for the lack of a better word) EPIC.
Greetings from Germany.
The Emperor Protects!
OMG I get home from work and THIS is waiting, FOR THE EMPEROR AND FOR THE KHAN!
Thanks for this! I love the Khan, especially as a Biker myself! He is my 2nd favourite after The Lion, they both have incredibly badass fights with Greater Demons 😈
The Lion shall awaken ...... soon!
My highest respect to you. I have read the books, I have heard the audiobooks, but the way you tell this story with so much emotion made me get wet eyes and have a lump in my throat!
Storytelling at its best! 👍❤️
Too kind!
I was having a bad day till i saw an upload from this channel, great love and respect for your work mate.
*"Warriors of Chogoris! Ride out! Ride for ruin and the world's ending!"* probably Jaghatai Khan, circa M31.
I cried so much towards the end 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Your greatest video yet!
Amazing effort put into these character profiles well done.
Thank you so much!
First (to be fifth)!!!! ; ) For the Khan!!!!! Jaghatai Khan is my absolute favorite primarch, so thank you so much for this 2.5 hour Jaghatai Khan lore-fest!!!!
Absolutely phenomenal work Amber King, made a tiring day that much more relaxing. Especially whenever you do quoted excepts between the khan and his brothers.
Please keep it up, it helps make mine and others day ❤️
It’s criminal you don’t get more views. This should be THE Warhammer channel.
Man, this was intense! The build-up was fantastic! Jaghatai, perhaps the most underrated Primarch. Wild, powerful, sharp, inspiring and full of wisdom, mystery and untameable freedom - the Khan is much like a storm himself. Great narration and fantastic imagery once more! I hope your channel grows more and more!
Luddite Guiliman without idealism and with dose of healthy cynicism.
I save these for my Saturday job, a relaxed environment where I can use my headphones and just work. These are a blessing that I wait earnestly for, they are remarkable and help me get through the day. Such quality is hard to find. I thank you ever so much Amber King!
What a fantastic read! Thank you so much! Your videos are so immersive. I would sit in the train and look outside having my mind wander off to those distant places of epic events, always guided by your voice.
This is the single greatest 40k channel I've ever found. Few channels could ever keep my attention for 2+ hours, and leave you wanting more. Superb narration, perfectly arranged supporting music, above and beyond any audio book I've ever listened to. The highest tier.
How dare you Amber King. How dare you bring me to the edge of tears with your magnificent story telling. Always liked Jaghatai Khan but now I love and miss him.
Holy shit...what an amazing video. Your best one yet.
“Until we meet under starlight” , the whole exchange between the khan and magnus. Dang.
If you think I will sit through 2 hours and a half of Jaghatai Khan, you are absolutely right!!! Going for some snacks and some coffee, this is going to be good, thank you for your hard work @The Amber King!!!
Even when reading ads he sounds like he's speaking of a gruelling life in the grimdark future.
Btw much appreciated and well timed. I just listened Adeptus Ridiculous' episode on Jagathai and got interested
Here I am already smiling ear to ear with this amazing tale. Amber King hits me with the "leaves you grinning ear to ear" and my head splits in half
I’m glad you enjoy!
Amazing work yet again; Your scripting, pacing, research and of course the amazing talents you work with is a testament to why GW and 40k NEED community creators. I hope this helps you and/or your voice talents land some sweet audio book deals, because I'd listen for -hours-. (Moreover then I have already).
Total side note, your selections of music to accompany the readings and emotional aspects of these journeys is one of the most powerful things you've improved upon since your early videos. You drive the emotion and purpose of these excerpts to the very core. Many more success to you , your craft and those who help you create these beautiful touch points, in the rich lore that is Warhammer 40k.
Today is a good day!!! All hail the Amber King
I have listened to this a half dozen times now and I still end up with tears in my eyes at the end of it
Wow, great the whole way through! Thank you, I was painting jaghatai to this, wonderful inspiration. Best Jaghatai video out there, seriously. Well done.
I am sitting in my car actually sobbing.
This should have more views. I don’t care how long it is.
Thank you sir for all that you have given us today.
Well that's my evening sorted. Thank you so much!
Beautifully done, amazing BGM, outstanding voice acting. You are what the community needs but does not deserve!
The quality of each video only increases. Well worth the wait and the watch
My Khan! Amber King, I've been checking in almost daily since your announcement. I will listen to this with joy today. My thanks.
Fugging awesome job bud. Thank you for sharing.
“And that’s what proves the difference”-jaghatai khan moments before beheading mortarion
Time to start a patreon my friend, i would be a huge supporter❤ thanks for this so much, i ignored most of the lore of the khan by now but now thank you i can see it the value and the crucial role of him😍😁
My first book I ever bought was about the Whiye Scars, I never had a good idea on this chapter or the Great Khan, I loved it he’s very down to earth and a skilled fighter. I miss Yosugi (not confident on the spelling).
I mean... "down to earth" is a very lacking trait among the primarcs tbh xD
I have thought a long time about which legion would be for me. But this insight into and revelation of the true character of the most closely guarded of the primarchs. This has made my dilemma into an easy choice. Long live the Kagahn
Good luck painting white minis! I go with Lamentors. Mostly because I've never won a game lol
This is my favorite lore channel. It’s not the best in terms of learning the most about the universe but it’s heads and shoulders above every other channel in every other way: amazing delivery, great voice acting, music, gravitas, empathy, story telling. Thank you
Instant I saw this video I dropped literally everything to watch it, more from my favorite lore channel
The Amber King, one of the best 40k lore content makers, amazing job as always. Patiently waiting for Sanguinius hehehe We already got Alpharius so that would be my two favorite Primarchs covered
well.....you brought me to tears...as the khan died, you sir are the best orator doing this work. i salute you.
**Vox laughs in the Void**
😈
There is glory enough for all and each one has stepped up and earned their laurels. The only competition should be the pursuit of perfection and by the Imperium this isn't far from the mark.
What an incredible video about an Incredible story. The Khan and Corvus are underrated. My favorite Primarchs.
This lore on Jaghati is awesome. Great look into his life, thoughts and interactions with The Emperor, Malcador and a number of his Brother Primarchs. Well done. Thanks for sharing. It is thought provoking and eye opening.
I can't stop listening to this
Throne... this is my first video and I fell in love with it. the voice acting sends trembles along my skin as quickly as a White Scar speeding across the battlefield
Superlike. Best character arc in the heresy series!
Watching your content grow and refine your style has been awesome ... Who needs a Warhammer Tv series when we have The Amber King🔥
Best lore UA-camr out there.
Amber King your lore drops have been getting better and better even when I did not think it was possible. This one though, this one was a Masterpiece.
You and your crews voice acting / narration are always unbelievable. This though you all dug in with grit, power, and emotion I have not yet heard before from anyone. I had to get rid of these damn onions that were mysteriously placed close by because I was truly being challenged in that regard. The emotions and adrenaline was strong with this one and the quality and speed of these lore drops are unparalleled.
You have now made me a huge fan in the Khan as I now realize he is truly one of the best Primarch's in the lore. You all had to be so exhausted at the end of making this lore drop, 2.5 hours that is unreal. We are truly Blessed to have you as a representative for the universe we all love so much. God Speed to you and yours Amber King, continue on your path to greatness because that is indeed what it truly is... Greatness.
"The emotional theme you have in all your lore videos playing in my mind as I type this" Well done Amber King, well done...
Sorry for long post its just when something is that well done it deserves to be praised at length.
Got to work.
New video.
See its 2 + hours.
Ohhhh yes.
Today is a good day.
Thank you King. Truely the only 40k lore vids I watch.
Over time the Khan has gone from a, "Oh right I guess he is also there..." To maybe my favorite Primarch and this video more or less cemented it! Absolutely fantastic work and wonderful deep dive on one of the most overlooked and deeply likeable characters in 40k!
Absolutely impeccable timing my guy. Great job on all your videos as well, i dont doubt this one will be the same 👍🏻.
Thanks for such a thorough video! Jaghatai might just be my favorite loyalist primarch :3
This was 2 and a half hours of pure goosebumps! Very well done! The White Scars and Jaghatai need much more love than what they get.
Ok see this is awesome cause I’d always noticed and felt like the White Scars were kept at arms length but obviously I had no clue why, so hearing the Khans thoughts on the imperial truth and mission of the great crusade finally puts those pieces into place and makes that make sense so thank you so much
Man you make me love warhammer so much
I know it's unlikely, but I'd like to see the Khan come back next.
You and me both
I do as well. For the Khagan!
