I don't think l would have chosen the Mesa XL over my smaller Mesa. The smaller fits better in our patio... and my wife is paranoid about fire, so the smaller version is probably perfect for us.
@@blueeyeswhitedragon9839 I ended up getting the XL and "gave" the smaller one to my kids for marshmallows so they don't drip on mine when they over cook them and spill! Both have their own charms. The smaller one creates a taller flame when its running at peak but the XL doesn't need the adapter for pellets and runs longer without monitoring. The smaller one is more engaging cause you have to tend to it more to keep it going so in the end they both have their own place.
Got my XL today. I have been using the Mesa regular for months. If you have the space on your tabletop or wherever you are using it, the XL is the way to go. Burns longer with much less tending.
My wife gave me the Mesa for Christmas and I love it. Now for my March birthday she just ordered me the XL. Can’t wait. Now let’s get a Heat Deflector for both.
you guys need a ring shelf around the top for putting small hot dogs and sausages, the drippings can fall right back into the burn chamber and be basically clean after use
I am a Solo Stove junkie. I have the Mesa, the Ranger, and the Yukon. The Mesa and Ranger go on camping trips. The Yukon sits in the Table Surround on my deck. I just ordered the Mesa XL. And for anyone trying to decide on the Heat Deflectors, they are a game changer for cooler weather. I cannot imagine not having the Deflector. I even ordered the Deflector for the Mesa XL.
Just saw this and purchased everything! Yes, can’t wait to receive my xl. Darn I forgot to order the pellets! Oh well. So excited! My beautiful outdoor table on my deck is going to look perfect with this.
Glad to see getting rid of the pellet adaptor. Pellets burn better from top down. Ended up finding a flat plate for my Mesa. Can't wait to enjoy the mesa xl
Kind anxious waiting for mine to come in the mail. Just discovered your stoves today. What an amazing machine from the looks of it. You guys put some good stuff together here.
Surprised that my first try with the Mesa XL with pellets. Light (10-15 MPH) winds blew the flame out. Looking forward to trying with wood pieces. After several relights the pellets burned down to less than an ounce of ash, though.
getting my xl tomorrow with the deflector, shame you guys didnt show the deflector for the messa xl, I am wondering if it has holes in the top of the deflector to maybe add a pan for cooking
I wish you guys would stock them on store shelves , wont buy one till you do...but when you do, I'll absolutely buy one .. I'm funny about wanting to hold and feel a product before buying it .
just watched vid on pellets. gonna have to give the mesa xl with pellets a try.....we have a travel trailer and i think it would be a cool addition to our trips!
3:01 ....STICKS , processed WOOD , is everywhere in the world....Pellets is a new consumer fuel source and is costly ...it burns super hot and faster than hardwood pieces. I like using my hardwood charcoal bits, in my Solo Titan stove, with some apple wood chips for smoking my meats. ❓❓Does the buyer have the option of getting the ORIGINAL FIRE RING (as with the Solo Titan) ...instead of the low set ring , of the Mesa ❓❓ I have the Solo Stove *Lite* (for day hikes) and Solo Stove *Titan* (for weekend trips) I am looking into getting a larger size for family cookouts. I do like the MESA's XL SIZE....however I wish their was a POT RING option with it ?? 16:33....MONEY MAKING SUGGESTION is to make a GREEN HUNTERS CAMO / DESERT CAMO color option ?? This would sell faster with Hunters, Fisherman, Survivalists, Preppers , BushCrafters, Campers, Outdoors people, Bug out folks, and Military Vets....I know you'd sell more of these , than any other color options you have. (25:30)
I have just received my Mesa XL and plan to use it at the weekend. I wanted to use wood rather than pellets, but the guy in this video burning wood didn’t sell it to me lol. Those pellets were roaring! Unfortunately I can’t buy the Solo fuels here in the UK as I would have bought both to try out. Going to be trial and error with some Amazon pellets I have bought, and whatever wood I can find here. We don’t seem to stock timber options as extensively as the US. Anybody from the UK have any tips??
Have you had any joy with Amazon pellets? I’m in the uk too and not sure which pellets to buy either. Just ordered the XL - looking forward to trying it out 😁
If wood options are hard to find look up wood chunks and pellets for smokers and cooking I use apple wood and cherry wood in mine also oak, hickory and mesquite
Great video, guys! I just ordered the original Mesa AND the Mesa XL - to see which size I prefer. I have 2 questions: 1) Do you need to purchase the little pellet tray/adapter for either of the Mesas? 2) Can you put a small pan (Amazon has a 3.5 inch Lodge cast iron pan) on the top of either product for a little cooking? Can't wait to get mine! Thanks!!
Not gonna lie, kinda bummed to buy a Mesa and less than two months later see the XL come out
Agree!

Absolutely. I would have got the XL for sure.

OMG I am going now to the site. Thank you for the heads up.

Just ordered a Mesa XL for myself and one for my mom for Mother's day with the accessory kits, can't wait, hoping a heat deflector is in the works
Any plans for a heat deflector for the Mesa XL?
Please make this.

Just saw this and purchased everything! Yes, can’t wait to receive my xl. Darn I forgot to order the pellets! Oh well. So excited! My beautiful outdoor table on my deck is going to look perfect with this.
Just ordered the XL with pellets, accessory bag for roasting and starters. Im so excited! Can’t wait to get it!
You guys need a deflector for the mesa and mesa xl
Great video I totally enjoyed it. I went to the website and bought four more things. Thank you. Can’t wait to get them!!!
Glad to see getting rid of the pellet adaptor. Pellets burn better from top down. Ended up finding a flat plate for my Mesa. Can't wait to enjoy the mesa xl

I just bought the Mesa on 2/10 and still waiting for it to be delivered. Kind of upset I didn't know the XL was being released.
Perhaps return it & get the xl 🙂🔥
Love my XL and just bought the brand new heat deflector for it and will be using it for my fishing trip in December.
Surprised that my first try with the Mesa XL with pellets. Light (10-15 MPH) winds blew the flame out. Looking forward to trying with wood pieces. After several relights the pellets burned down to less than an ounce of ash, though.

Is there a plan to make a heat deflector?
I was convinced pretty fast but it was tough to pick a color.
We received the mesa as a gift this year. Can’t wait to try this
Using that new dish spray from dawn is mint to clean
Nice show. Wish you would have shown the top Heat Deflector.
Y’all should make a fondue bowl and stand for them that would be awesome. Then you could dip strawberries in the bowl full of melted chocolate
I just got tge Mesa and now I want the Water Solo Stove Mesa XL!!!! I also need a cook top converter for my OG Mesa.
Any plans for a Mesa XL heat displacer?
I've just bought the original Mesa on sale but seeing them side by side, I'm wishing I spent more on the XL.
When will the accessory pack for the mesa be available in the EU
Now!!!
Should make a video with the original masa burning aswell
I wish you guys would stock them on store shelves , wont buy one till you do...but when you do, I'll absolutely buy one .. I'm funny about wanting to hold and feel a product before buying it .
Camping world has them
only the large ones , I want a smaller one @@johnnykennedy9238
Costco has a 2 pack for $110 currently
saw a 3 pack for $99 just a couple of weeks ago , but I don't have a cosco here , @@K4lt
In the accessory pack to be able to pull out the hard backing and use it cutting board would be nice
Thanks guys, good stuff!
I have my mesa in my vanlife build I use it when I want to just have a smaller flame while I read a book and relax
when will the XL be available in Canada?
just watched vid on pellets. gonna have to give the mesa xl with pellets a try.....we have a travel trailer and i think it would be a cool addition to our trips!
Just ordered the original Mesa. Intend to take it camping with our Airstream. It's small and compact, an easy traveler.
What airstream have you got?

Heat deflector for the mesa xl 🙂
What size wood do you recommend putting in the xl
Just put my order in for the mesa xl. I have the yokun 2.0 and mesa and I love them both. But I might give the mesa to my next door neighbor.
Will you be making a hub for masa XL ?
Awesome we got the mesa and bonfire.Didnt use them yet.
You could do a brown leather tool roll style bag to for the accessories
It's on sale now, bet money it will always be on sale😂😂😂
No comments on the little one! I guess it's not worth bragging about
Hey sorry if its in Video can you Mix wood and pellets?
How do you put out the fire if have to leave right away?
Be creative! Use an old ceramic plate, paint can lid, terra cotta potted plant base, etc, or waste $50 on the accessory kit with lid.
What's the best pellets for minimum smoke ?????
whats up with the pellets?? can i burn them in my Bonfire?? how do you light them??
You’ll need the pellet adapter
I know a guy who loves his. It’s still new in the box 😂
Do you have to use a fire starter?
I haven't gotten my Mesa yet but from everything I've read, people really suggest to get them. So I did.
Why with the pack , you are giving a top for the little Mesa , And not for the XL

It’s here now!!!
Which cooking ring works with the XL?
Campfire
I looked around , and can't see the option of a raised cook ring with the Mesa XL
Living in Mn, talking heat. Wood oak vs Pellets. The wood is prettier.
Need to offer just the lids alone
Anyone ever use one of these in a porch that has a ceiling of vinyl siding material? Wondering how hot it would get
Sitting in front of mine… it is 6 inches off the ground and heat is minimal at 6 feet

The four feet are not steady on a rock
Tots!
The original Mesa was barely larger than a candle.
Bought the standard Mesa then saw the xl. Sent it back and got the xl, love it. Glad I went with the larger one. Used it today. Very pleased.
I see smoke. Caught in 4K 5:37
I feel like this is so small it looks like gas if you just use pellets it will just be a gas stove
Strawberry.. Really.. Nah
Wish I knew this. The regular mesa SUCKS
Way over priced
