Google maps is brilliant for that and can get an idea of places that flood regular and best times to visit. You can view past weekly or monthly google maps in some places.
I used to work at a factory in a similar landscape. The drainage pipes were big enough for a person to duck walk through when it was dry (saved me 45 minutes walk) It must have been like four feet wide? Sucked when it was rainy, as it got halfway full, but it saved me a LOT of extra walking time. They told me it was not practical for a person on foot to work there. I was there for 18 months. LOL maybe I got a little beaver in me! Every time it rained; it halfway filled the pipe. I could see a much bigger one being a benefit where you are. The change in water level and force impressed me to do the extra 45 minute walk if it was even drizzling. Safety, you know!
Update to this 4 months later.

Who would have thought watching somebody unclog drainage could be so satisfying. I am definitely going to subscribe.
Another triumph for sheer bloody-mindedness. Good on you, sir! Putting the waterways to rights and ticking off the Beavers, big-time!! Great work!
Post 10 have no fear your videos will have inspired a whole generation to carry on with the work you started. Thank you
Wow another great adventure! Thanks so much for inviting us along! 💖 I loved the bunny and thought oh maybe you would share that salad! 😊 So cute! I loved where you sat to enjoy your meal! Wow so gorgeous! Thank you again! 🍂🍁🍂
Gotta say this is one the coolest you've run across in awhile. Awesome to watch. Trail cam was cool also.
these beavers used a lot of rocks! it’s amazing how good they are at what they do🦫. your videos are great, thanks for all the interesting, entertaining content
That was a really awesome unclogging Postie. Too bad about your rake. Crappy. Loved seeing that foam forming, that was so cool. Cute bunny, aww! Always love watching the other side start blasting with water. So cool. Stay safe out there.
Yayyy! I love these long unclogging videos! Keep it up Post! ❤
I love the sound of crickets at the end so relaxing watching your videos, hi from New Zealand.
What a great video! So much happening. I do think the beaver checked out the bridge on the first night, you can see it placing two branches on the left side of the opening to make a minor effort to fix the dam. I thought a bullfrog croaked when you burped, lol!
Loved the scene with the salad on your lap while sitting next to the lake. After all that hard work, some tasty food looking at beautiful scenery, it felt like we were there with you. Thanks for all your videos!
You are a force, not to be reckoned with when it comes to this. Bless you buddy.
Excellent video. You provide a great service to your part of the world. The world needs more people like you.
This unclog was epic Mr. Post 10.
Wonderful video post! I liked it very much. And i liked all the work you do to keep those culverts sucking water! Man i can't be more happy (at the distance) with all your hard work! Keep doing those amazing videos and keep the roads dry! Greetings from Argentina!
Dude is making a killer living unclogging drains. Kudos to your foresight!
You read my mind. I was just going to watch that old video, where you worked on a huge dam (with the leaches and you needed ear plugs for the water noise) for an hour. And bam, a new dam video. Thanks 😊
Great video, liked seeing all the dam floating towards the camera
This was a GREAT one. Loved the camera angle view from under the bridge. Thanks for sharing!
It's amazing how those Beavers can handle those big logs.
Wow!! Thank you for your time again! That is an incredible unclogging, blessings to you and yours, incredible how you know those back roads.
Post 10, I wonder how you find all of these remote roads. Keep up the great work!
Great job was awesome to watch
Thanks for bringing me along
Be safe😃
I love watching you clean out the beaver dams! I also love that you never edit out your loud belching! Too funny!
Like it should be out in the free!
That was a nice unclog. Haven't had a good one in awhile. Hopefully will get some decent rain before everything starts to freeze up.
This one was really cool. Seeing how the bridge and that tiny culvert were kind of connected was really interesting.
