I like that you show the end result of the job. Not only get the satisfaction of watching it drain, but getting to see all the water gone after is a treat.
Great Job! It’s amazing how well built those dams are! No human made dam could have 50% or more of its structure removed and it still stay standing! Ron
That is utterly amazing. Sir, you do a sensational job and it must be so rewarding. That is a job that I would actually love to do. Keep up the amazing work and stay safe.
That was impressive dam and impressive tear down by y’all, definitely did not hurt having some help on this day.great video, great job.that was a lot of water draining.just continue doing what your doing and on to the next project.be safe 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Another New Zealander here. 1100 now. Great job on the dam. Well done! Just trying to crudely estimate the volume of water released (width x length x depth). I'm taking a pure guesstimate of how far back the lake went: 50m x 60m x 1.7m = 5,100 m3. That's a decent size volume of water to send downstream for such a small catchment. Your videos are always interesting to watch. Beavers really are the kings of dam building in the animal world.
What about a couple pieces of rebar welded into a grappling hook, a long length of rope and a come along. Hook the branches at the bottom of the dam on the deep side, tie off to a large tree downstream a way then winch it in with the come along to pull branches out, thus weakening the dam and causing a collapse. You'll still need to use shovels and rakes , but it might speed the process up a bit. Just a thought...........
I always have an image in my head of a beaver further downstream that’s built a dam, they are surveying their work when your flood appears on the horizon, they are either delighted at the amount of water filling their pool or they are saying to themselves ‘where the f did that come from?’. 😀
That’s massive Ken how on earth are you going to get rid of all that wood , you and your friend must be really cold especially with freeze on; take care friend ❤
You should try a big metal hook made of something like rebar attached to a ratchet strap you can tie around nearby trees. Then pull the dams over. would make great videos if it worked.
Maybe bicycle inner tube patches for your waders? This pair might have too many holes already, but if you patch each hole in the new pair, maybe it's better?
2 years from a pair of waders doing what you do is really good. What brand are they? I want working waders instead of using my expensive fishing waders for working in water. That was a really big pond and dam. The largest beaver dam is in Canada, Saskatchewan I think, and it was discovered by astronauts on the ISS
I'm glad to see you got mud moving after the break. I believe you would have had more help from the water if you had gotten after it as soon as you folded the top. Just my thinking. Still an excellent break and much water down stream.
If You would like to be part of my activity! I would be very grateful: www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=BNUME5JQY4CLU
@EternallyGod but he WORKS to destroy those dams. Street beggars don't.
I love these beaver damn videos
@@andyvitz You are in right place ;)
I like that you show the end result of the job. Not only get the satisfaction of watching it drain, but getting to see all the water gone after is a treat.
if there are beavers still there, why are they doing this in the winter? why not spring so they have a chance to go elsewhere?
that was incredible, I love the sound of the ice cracking as the level drops. very nice.
That was the largest one so far this year. Very nice!
Largest ever✌️😀
Mr Beaver is definitely not going to give you a like on this video after all the hard work he put in building that dam. Well done Sir.
WOW - it drained completely
That was a big one perhaps the largest one you have done so far well done Mantas
That will drain for some time, glad you had help on this monster. Watching you jump on top was a little nerve-wracking.
Nice to hear the sound of the thin ice being crushed by your feet while walking to see water level dropped.. a job well done! 😊👍💪✌
That was an amazing after shot. That was a crazy amount of water. I love the ice left behind.
A big dam that's been there for a long time. Great job you guys did.
The sheets of ice are so interesting to see. Thank you Ken.
Wow, lots of water!😮
Hello from Massachusetts USA! It's amazing how much water can be held back by a structure made by small animals!
Your from post 10s area aren't you?
@@johnmason6645 I don't think he comes to my part of the state...he stays in the western part and I'm on the east coast.

Time to go home, get into some warm and dry clothes! Then hot tea and a warm fire!!!

Great job that was some very hard work. You’re so good at what you do you’re very thorough.
Glad you had help for this monster dam. The amount of water is staggering! Great job as always.
I wonder if any body is ever down stream having a lovely walk and then, BAM!!! Flash flood with no cloud in sight🤣
Just some hysterical beaver's screaming in the distance WHAT'S MANTIS DONE NOW GUYS.
Really good video.. hard work deep smelly mud ..😮
Impressive Dam wow
That was the longest an largest this year good job
That is a lot of water !
That was an impressive job. Very well done.
Great job!! Do you enjoy making us nervous when you jump up and down on a dam you are trying to collapse?????
That was a tough old dam holding back a staggering amount of water. Guess it had to be tough with all that pressure on it!
Hi, I'm from Tasmania. You do great job.
That was an epic one!
Greetings from New Zealand 0600 here bloody awesome. Lots of water must be the biggest one yet .
New Zealand here too, He's awesome

That water had to be freezing cold. You are amazing and a very hard worker.
This sounds like a waterfall, that is a lot of water movement!

Three sticks of dynamite. That's how we used to do it
That was one of your best. Thanks for sharing.
When friends show up for the beer and not much else.
Goooood how it should be
Excellent work in very cold temperatures well done 🎉
Thank you very much!❤️
THAT was interesting!!!! You scared me jumping on top! Yikes😮
WOW unbelievable. Great work guys.😊
Those damn beavers MUST HAVE USED RE-INFORCING in that dam.!!
they will have some angry beavers tonight
Nice job!! Thank you!
very mad beavers!!!

They are probably saying hey that's my house!
It was a beast !!! Good job guys !!👍💪💪
Wow. Awesome. Great job.
Einfach super...👌🏼👍🏼🤌🏼🍻
Very satisfying, great job well done Mantis
... i must have missed the part or a previous video on the capture and relocation of the beaver!!!???
Go away
Such a nice flow! Very many kubic meters of water per second!
Yeah!
That dam was huge!
Great Draining!
The master piece...
Well done Mantas
This was awesome. Such a huge amount of water.

Keep up the great videos. Great aerial drone footage as well!

Why did the Beaver cross the road.......
To go to a moletell....👍👍👍
Greetings from the BIG SKY.
Good job 👏
Wow great job 😮😮😊😊
Super satisfying tho thanks
Mini excavator would be handy
Yeah!
Changing the ecosystem there.
A pair of boots that works as hard as you do for two years is pretty amazing.
Yeah!
Hermoso trabajo. Podría activar la opción "Traducción" Gracias. Saludos de Argentina
I tried to patch the holes in my waders and the only thing I found in Montana to fix the hole was a bicycle inner tub patch kit.
nice one !
Looks like there might be another dam down stream
Yes, small one.
That’s massive Ken how on earth are you going to get rid of all that wood , you and your friend must be really cold especially with freeze on; take care friend ❤
Just a couple of hours for an eager beaver to fix that hole.
brilliant as ever thanks Kentis take care you need some new boots too xxxxxx debbie uk xxxxxxx
Thank you!;)
Impressive
Wow

You should make one side of your shovel or edge very sharp. I use mine to chop things as I’m digging.
Cool video. Enjoyed watching ✌️ 😎
물빠지는거 시원~하다

Wonder if a pickax might help with the break up? At least at first.
Its strange of all these different videos i watch, only one time have I ever seen one.
i see you had sum help on this one

I'm glad you had someone with you; a slip could have had very nasty consequences.
Have to give the beavers 🦫 credit on this dam. Quite well constructed. You won in the end 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
2 years from a pair of waders doing what you do is really good. What brand are they? I want working waders instead of using my expensive fishing waders for working in water.
That was a really big pond and dam.

If you did live videos, I reckon a lot of people would place bets on what time the dam goes 😊
