- Today we are setting up a new skateboard setup: krooked skateboard 8.38in, independent hollow trucks size 149, 52mm boardycake wheels, and bones reds bearings.

From fingerboarding I learned for street setups lining up the deck rails with the inside of the wheels helps ensure it's aligned in a good spot for tricks. I never like shaving down the sides of the grip because I'm paranoid about getting the shavings everywhere but I usually just do it outside 😂 I've used the same screwdriver to do that outline since I was a kid.

i’m skating a flip 8.0, 14 inch wheelbase with slappys and spitfire cloud rollers. I was skating quasi boards for a while with a set of dragon wheels (those were niceee) its fun experimenting with different brands and shapes
Got me wanting to try one! I felt the same way about the 13.75 I was wondering if it would skateboard better with thunders since they stretch ur wheelbase awesome vid dawgy!!!

What you should really do to change the feeling of a setup is changing trucks, try those 13,875 wheelbase decks with some Ventures! Thank me later!!!!

As one of the "coming back out of retirement" folks (only skated like once a month for many years up until my shiny new local park opened) and seeing all the spec madness skate components, it's really got me ready to buy a new set up. My destructos are from like 2005 and my random 7.75 shop blank is several years old and it all still works, but these fat boards are enticing except thinking about having a heavy clunker. Thing that gets me is people's height and shoe size vs board. I'm only 5'6, 8.5 shoe so I shouldn't be riding a board the same thing as guys 6'+. a deck length difference of 0.5" vs a human height difference of 6".. hmm. It does make sense that I'm seeing female pros with these True fit sizing.
