This collection is 🔥🔥🔥🔥used it last night. I don’t spray anything directly into my hair, I always put it in my hands first, that’s just me lol. I used the leave in, twisting butter (which actually melts into your hands when you rub it together), and the gel. I would probably use the leave in and mousse for a wash and go and rod sets, not the gel.

We all have different results from different products, I am sorry it wasn’t good for you. This happens to me sometimes too. I see results from so many that have great results from products, that make my hair look like a dry tumbleweed 🤷🏽♀️

I feel like i can smell this collection through the screen.
It’d be great to see you step outside the comfort zone every now and then. A twist/braid out or using mousse for a WNG are simple(ish) ways to try something different! SheaMoisture and Texture ID both have a great mousse in their line that surprisingly work well for my WNG 🍋
I tried the Shea moisture one but that one wasn’t that great for my hair but I may look into the texture id one!! Thank you for the encouragement 🤗🤗

I just purchased the Lemongrass Leave In this week at Target and loved it in my hair and my 2 daughters hair! I went ahead and ordered the Creme Brulee for type 3 hair kid and the shea yogurt for my type 4 hair kid. I am so excited for wash day.

Lemon 🍋🍋. Hey Lydia. I came back to update you. The Lemongrass Leave-In is great, and has always been great. This new gel really is crap. It makes your hair feel like rubber. It’s something I’ve never experienced in a hair product. It was definitely a “Miss” for them, and I don’t recommend it at all. My favorite Alikay Naturals products are: Lemongrass Leave-In, Creme Brûlée Curling Delight, Honey and Sage dc, and their Black Soap Shampoo. In general, the company does make good products. The gel was just a hell NO for me.

Lemon!!! That is definitely not your normal wash and go! I like the lemongrass leave-in and I use it way you do, spray it in my hand first. I use the lemongrass leave in with the wake me up refresher spray, and that has worked out pretty good at refreshing my curls. I am not normally a refresher spray person, but that combo has really worked for me. I don't think I will purchasing the lemongrass line at this time.

I just got the new leave in and mousse because I'm more of a mousse girl than gel. I'm glad I didn't order the full line, but I was curious about the butter and oil. Maybe you should try the LOC method they suggest to see if it makes a difference? Thanks for the review!

I actually like your results. I can tell how frustrated you were. Maybe try the gel alone. I think you should try a braid out or twist out, would like to see it. Or try flexi rods. How did you end up trying your hair for work

Lydia your hair is still pretty it's just a little frizzy. You normally have a smoother wash&go. Anyhow, the lemongrass and creme brulee from the line didn't agree with my hair. I figured it was the protein that dried out my style.

Have you tried a gel first, then a mousse or cream. The gel-first styling is what DevaCurl reccommends and I’ve recently gone to a new stylist that recommends the same thing. My wash n’ go’s have a different look now. Maybe you could try the routine with your current products or even with the Alikay gel since it didn’t work this time.
Mousses don’t work that well for my hair so I don’t think That method would be ideal personally. 😭 But thank you for sharing!!! 🙏🏾

Dang! Well I do use the lemongrass leave in when I have mini twist as a protective style. I was looking forward to trying the rest of the line but now I'm sceptical. I think I'll just stick with what I know is going to work for me.

Yeah I felt disappointed but it’s okay cause I still am IN LOVE with their wake me up refresher spray. And I just threw it in a low pony tail with a satin scruchie. And yeah I co washed my hair rather than using a clarifying shampoo since I didn’t wanna dry it out by washing it two days in a row

I’ve been alternating between my green apple curl definer by Taliah waajid, or my moisturizing pudding and gel from Wondercurl, or my eden bodyworks almond marshmallow hydration serum from eden bodyworks and pairing that with the CR curl maker. The new breahni light defining gel has also been really good to me too

At 9:55 when you said your hair wasn't as defined as it normally is & it started to frizz, what do you normally do to avoid this issue? I find that this happens with only my crown section no matter what products I use so I'm at a loss & don't know how to prevent this from happening. If it matters any, my hair type is 3c-4a & I'm low porosity.
I usually have to experiment with other products or make sure that my hair is SOAKING wet so the product can apply better
Lydia Tefera I'll keep at it! I use my spray bottle with warm water to get my hair soaking wet but I'll continue to experiment with different products. I've been thinking about trying the shingling method. Have you ever tried it before? Thank you so much for the response!

How was your process ordering the box? It took me multiple tries and after a couples hours I almost gave up. I think I'm gonna pause on ordering from curlbox for a while.
I ordered it immediately when it went on sale before there was a lot of traffic on the site so I didn’t have too much of a problem

I ordered the same Curlbox and I can’t believe my results. I used the leave in and the gel. My hair is super hard! The gel felt weird. I actually paused like u did in your video and after using it on my first strand of hair. I should have stopped. Now I have to rewash my hair. I’m so disappointed! I love their Aloe Berry gel, but this one isn’t it! I was waiting for your review because I knew you would be honest! Thank you for always being 100% honest.

I was going to suggest the mousse and the gel as a combo. The only product that I’m seeing is good is the leave in. Wish these worked better for you☹️. The camera is definitely letting us see this!
