- Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers perform Tweeter and the Monkey Man (The Traveling Wilburys), live at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, California on June 8, 2013.
This man was a class act he gets a shit load of credit and it's all earned but I honestly believe that he is due even more. One of the greats and it's sad that people truly see what he meant to all diffrent types of music. I don't think he fits in one category, he can be placed in multiple genres and he is in my top 5 artists in each one he is placed in. Just my opinion but what a treasure he was. Rest easy sir rest easy ...

American girl is so damn good it unreal. Like lots of Dylan songs, Petty cranked out a bunch of gems.
Aerosmith are outstanding crafters too. Steely Dan ….
@@maxhall1534Kudos to you Max🎉 You mentioned Two of my faves= Tom & Steely Dan
If anyone can mimic Dylan's vocals it's Petty. I'd like to believe he remembered the Wilbury's time together when playing this. And of course, RIP Petty, the first musician I've cried over since Bowie.
Tom blew Dylan away
He was a channel.
Tarantino needs to make a movie of this song
Hell yeah!!!!!!
Right!!!!
great idea, although i'd prefer if david lynch would do it
@@Ytrearneindredude! David Lynch would be perfect!
It's called true romance
Deeply, deeply moved by the loss of Tom Petty. I feel the loss every Christmas when they play his Christmas song in the stores. Tom if your up there, tell my mom I love her.
Tom was such a joy, Rest in Peace fair fellow.
Roy orbison,George Harrison and Tom Petty may you all rest in eternal peace
there not dead there just under going plastic surgery. to change there identitys to collect the royaltys better make more album sales.
just like how sam phillips is really paul warfield tibbits.
I believe Tom did a jolly great job on this one. No surprise, is it?!
love Tom and the Wilburys. Most of my favorite artists in that group! Husband is a Jersey Boy and we chuckle when he talks about "Everything's Legal as long as you don't get caught"!
Brilliant. We're experiencing it now. Bless Tom.
RIP !!! Tom Petty family , friends , on the road live anywhere anytime never disappointed anyone !!!
Clicking the "Thumbs Up" just doesn't do this justice....suffice to say TP&HBs can do whatever they please & make it great... thanks to all of you always. thanks for the post whchss..
Love this song!! 👊👊
This song has such significance in my chapter, the “Dover”
❤❤❤
This is my favorite song
I Really like this song but I have NEVER heard it performed by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, only by Travelling Wilburys, but Heartbreakers was always a solid, genuine act, this version of course without Bob Dylan but it is nice, solid performance as I indicated above
It's without Dylan, but just playing the audio you could fool a lot of people. Tom's doing Bobby here. Almost Steeler's Wheel-level vocal imitation of him.
@@AbuKedem It sounds nothing like Dylan, in timbre or cadence. If Petty had just used his normal singing voice, it would have sounded significantly closer to the original. He's deliberately changing it in this performance.
Superb.
RIP you wonderful three
RIP Tom Petty. Such a cool singer with such an interesting voice
This is great. Thank you.
This is gold .
Such a voice. 💕🎩👑 Tom was so great 🔥💔
Era um dos grandes, faz muita falta
Mr.Petty, I'll love you forever.
Amazing ❤
They stayed UP all night! Selling coke n hash! ❤
Unfortunately the sound quality is compromised but I guess when something is free one can't really complain. Loved Tom's intro about writing song with Bob Dylan.
Indeed sound sucks
Hvala ljudi
Wish it didn't cut off before the final verses. Great video.
Thank you so much, i fell in love with this song and was wondering if it was performed live and wow Tom's vocals are here even more impressive, it's cool to have this version apart from Bob Dylan's 😻✨
rip Tom - Tweeter went right by my house on "jerzy" along side Rahway State Prison - now East Side prison - which is on Highway 1& 9 - not 99 - that must have been those greedy Brits - I also worked for a crooked racketeer busted by Rudy Guilani.......lol....maybe that is why i luved the sing!
Nice.
The characters in this song remind me of my family.
While Springsteen references are all over this song, this is the first time I ever heard anyone from the Wilburys admit that they had Bruce in mind while writing it.
Yeah tom
IF SOMEONE TOLD YOU IT WAS A TRUE STORY YOU WOULDN'T DISBELIEVE 'EM
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I hope I have this chapter and laugh at it ,nervous and inappropriate laughter
Sleep tight my friend!
so when tweeter took his gun away and messed up his mind. must of been quite the story to mess up his mind. at least the cop knew about going down to the wire.
damn the sound could be better.
so the under cover wasnt laying face down in a field he was just looking face down in field.
dont mess with my grocery meat. il mess your minds times up to different portal of a world youll wish you never stepped into. blood and guts is nothing much.
one punch man season 2
so the under cover cop. sure didnt die. id hate to be found tied up to a tree. depends on what type of tree.
rockstars the jet planes tour busses free food drugs booze and well all the things most people dont have. mansions and well maybe plastic surgeons as well. cause kurt cobain was tom petty.
