Yup, biting flies are the worst, both noisier and more painful than mosquitoes. I'm astounded that your feet are still blistering after leaving the hourly drenching in the Sierras, and yet you still continue. Great video!
Looking at your feet I realized humans are not really designed for this hard life like animals do. Just a thought, love hiking despite the pain, weird.

Gooood Morning! How lovely and then puts dirty pill in water she's gonna drink. LOL! I don't ever remember seeing slime mold, looks like custard, runny custard. Wow that's a strong ant, at first I thought it was a very strange moving bug and then I saw the ant. Those are the most dedicated Trail Angels I've seen yet. Camping out for a month and feeding every hiker, very good hearted people. Ooh your feet must hurt Starburst. Best to cut the loose skin off rather than peel it, you might get some skin that's not damaged.
Your poor hair! I feel for you...getting that untangled will be the worst. I hove found that with long hair it is easiest to comb it every day and keep it in a fresh braid. Trail magic...such amazing people!

Oh my gosh Jennifer your feet! I work with ballerinas quite often and I have seen their feet I think you guys come neck-and-neck on torture! Best wishes to you and your family in Reno. We have a very special friend who moved up to Reno recently she was our dog groomer for years! She was very important to our family to say the least! But she's so happy and Reno. It looks like a beautiful city I haven't been up there since I was a little girl skiing. Harrah's was having an anniversary and we went to a show starring Wayne Newton. The most amazing thing happened Sammy Davis Junior joined him on stage in celebration. I've never forgotten that night. Be safe on the trail glad you got some great Foods!
