That was a gorgeous view of sand harbor which is gorgeous from lake level. From up that high you can really enjoy th3 colors of the water. Lake Tahoe is like no other lake. Thanks for posting

Speaking of strange noises in the night, once I heard what sounded like a plastic bucket being kicked around on and off all night long. Once your mind associates a noise with something you've heard before it just wont let it go . . . I looked all around in the morning but could not figure out what it was hahaha

You and Diana are so fun together. Is she a close friend from Reno. Beautiful hike and trail. The cut over to Sand harbor was so worth it. I use to boat there all the time.

I woke up one morning during this summer's hike to a big black bear breathing on my face! Needless to say could not get back to sleep. Also I thought pooping yourself is a through hiker right of passage, no?
That is terrifying!! And it is a right of passage, but one I don’t need to pass through 😂
You would certainly know better than I, but I understand pooping your pants on a thru-hike isn't uncommon. No?

Maybe that wasn't a bear at all ,, maybe Dyana found a boyfriend off trail and they were in the gym with a camel ...lol..( check with Dixie's Spain trip for explanation of sounds in the night ) ....lol.. or Yogi and Boo-Boo's late night soccer with your bear barrel.....
The Sand Harbor portion is just freaking awesome.....

My first #PrayForConstipation incident in the Sierras led me to always have some Imodium AD or the grocery store generic stocked in my backpacking first aid kit. Not much worse than the runs in the backcountry.
I usually carry Imodium as well! Because yikes

This was one of the most amusing videos you've ever done! Both of you were either going bat-shirt crazy by this point or really just hamming it up for the camera. Maybe both. But that scenery from the overlook -- that was no joke. That must've been at least a 3,000 foot straight drop. Stunning.

What happened to the engineer problem solving skills on the hand pump?!!🤣
I got there eventually! But I was dehydrated and tired so it took a little longer. 🤣
..I thought she did great figuring it out ,, I have seen many people walk away without success on these types of pumps...have seen some pumps similar operation but had a foot pump ,, still had the bypass valve ,, but leaves both hands free ,, once pressure is there,,keep pumping,, valve will stay open...drop and close when stop pumping........👍 ** Team Starburst **
That must have been a really deep well. The ones I've done stay running for a while after you get them going. Nice they had one provided. I wonder what a person would do if they were backpacking solo.

@@JenniferMabus It was a woman but when I realized it was not you I clicked away because it was on a news UA-cam channel on Trump losing the election. The name was not Jennifer and it caught my eye because of the bright orange. I will write down her name if I spot it again.

That was the most spectacular 0.6 mile trail spur I have ever seen. The view looked very New Zealand like. I was waiting for Owen to make a surprise appearance with a para-glider and ask you; "are you ready to go."
