Nor did I. I like motor trend but they firstly made us pay and then don't make it available in New Zealand... add to that the fact that carfection is so much better and motor trend have largely been forgotten.
McLaren honestly has pushed performance and looks forward quicker than Ferrari/Porsche would in 10 years. It doesn't matter which brand is your favourite, McLaren has been great for the car world in general. Solid review Henry!
Nobody (including Ferrari) can touch Porsche’s Motorsport heritage. Mclaren will always be the new kid on the block. And I hope they thank Porsche for the exhaust design...
Agreed, but every Porsche has 50 years plus of Porsche DNA in it. What McLaren has managed to do in its short production car history is incredible. Porsche makes some incredible performance machines no doubt!
True, although their reliability has been something to be desired and their customer service / after sale service is apparently awful. Watch this space for Ferrari's next gen cars though. There's special things in the pipeline apparently.
@@Bombast-A-Blasta Take a closer look. The exhaust of this car is very different from one in the 918. Truth is during 1998-2008, it is commo to have top exit exhaust in formula 1 which is very simmer position and angle in 600lt not 918. Considering that McLaren is F1 contractor, I think McLaren inspired by their own F1 car.
Again, one has to thank McLaren for reinventing itself with the mp4-12c, because without it as a test bed (and the many customers who took the chance to have it in their driveways/collections) the current lineup (570, 650, 720s, p1) would never have got much notice.
As we've come to expect, another fantastic production and review. There's no better combo on UA-cam than Carfection and Henry. We're spoiled with this stuff, keep it up guys.
Amazing review, and I absolutely love the 600LT! I can see it really makes people happy, and I certainly believe it is more than powerful and precise enough to transport that trolley and all the sugar XD McLaren is truly the sweetest miracle in 21st century's automotive industry! It still beggars belief that the company has earned itself a prowess battling Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, etc. in just 8 years!
Guys you really are taking this genre, space, whatever realm of creative automotive content you want to call it, by storm. The writing, sequences, presenting and quality of editing is just simply stunning. I love commenting on your videos, because each time I'm challenged to write a better one. Sure, the car is fantastic, and that is why we ultimately tune in, but this is so well put together that it adds an additional layer of quality to the final piece. Well done again guys!
I just love these hardcore stripped out track variants of cars and I think mclaren have hit it out of the park with this one. When Porsche won't sell you a GT3RS, at least now there's a decent alternative.
Flabbergasted! Henry is the cupid of the carworld ! Another day another bewitchingly outrageous video. Just keep doing what you do. Please. You will make us live longer.
The benefit of saving a kilo from deleting the glove box is not so much in the kilo saving itself, it is that you can no longer put anything in it so you save even more!
Fantastic review with good combo of both on track and in car footage with dialogue. You guys keep smashing these videos, lovely work. Best of luck to the 488 Pista! Can’t wait to see 488 Pista vs 600LT reviews, and then 770LT vs 488 Pista in a year woot woot!
Great car and great review as always Henry.......you even went with an LT hair cut for this one! Wish Mclaren had of used the GT shell instead of the S though
Awesome car, brilliant review by Henry. As much as I was a fan of Alex's, Henry is really lifting this channel to another level. On a side note I'm surprised McLaren used stainless and not titanium for the exhaust system.
I can say this every video, Henry and Alex together is automotive journalistic bliss. Oh and the other guy too fills a great role but always forget his bloody name 😂
@@guardisto I believe it's one of those free options to have them placed in the car. Porsche does the same with it's infotainment system etc. Not in the car by default but free to spec if wanted
Beautiful color grading! What I'd like to see in the future is that you start filming in a flat log format so that you can properly expose the cockpit shots.
Good review. Wonder why the gear shift was given such an aggressive shift in sport mode though? Does that mean you are more likely to use race on the road just for more smoothness? I am not sure of all the mclaren combinations though, perhaps you can pick settings that give safety on whilst still being in race?
Ravi Rajyaguru There is no P1 replacement, only Senna and Speedtail. Both are the pinnacles of the company, but neither of them are actual successors for P1.
Great narration by Henry as per usual. Nice cinematography too but perhaps a little too Top Gear-saccharin with those split second frame switching & noise - a rare misfire for you guys, I'd suggest.
Your videos are production perfect. And your content is pin sharp. These videos (and the ones on the road) warm my heart... but they never give me the fizz, as May would say. Outstanding productions, I now understand the car is brilliant... but from what I've heard in other videos it's one hell of an exciting car to drive and you just make it so beautiful and... boring. Sorry, don't take this the wrong way, your videos are pretty much perfect in everyway but they are so bland in terms of excitement. Great job again, hope you can not hate me for this. Cheers from a long time fan, Henry.
I must, the latest content from you guys is best on the internet. This is it. Look no further (or pay for motortrend). But the production quality is so high on these videos, how do you guys do it?
This guy might be my favorite car reviewer on youtube...Actual automtive journilism
he is certainly mine! And yes.....Automotive Journalism. Hoping to tell stories like this one day
Agree, the best auto journalist. You should check out his video comparing the F1 to the P1
Still a better love story than Motor Trends best drivers car competition.
i didn't bother watching it this year
Nor did I. I like motor trend but they firstly made us pay and then don't make it available in New Zealand... add to that the fact that carfection is so much better and motor trend have largely been forgotten.

Another amazing Mclaren, another amazing Henry Catchpole review!
Some of those on tracks shots were amazing. The LT is special, looks great

The Fast Issue idunno about performance bud, the GT2RS is one hell of a machine from Porsche.

that's a weird way to praise pista's 10 y.o. platform.
I fell in love with those pipes immediately! Gorgeous car, McLaren!
getoar duli
You can thank Porsche for the exhaust design.
Mikhail Sven
Show me a production car that had the pipes previous to the 918 and I’ll retract my comment.
BOMBAST-A-BLASTA 918 is a limited edition car!
BOMBAST-A-BLASTA and its 1mio price as well

Amazing car, and review. Have the 600LT on order and look forward to pushing it to the "Edge" when it arrives.
Speed Phenom so do I!!! Can’t wait for mine to arrive!
Nice one lad. I'll have to wait for Forza Horizon 4 DLC :*(
I've ordered 3! One for left hand tracks, and one for right, and one because I just have so much fucking cash laying about.
I cant decide 1/18 or 1/24 scale, let me know what one to go for once yours arrive, cheers
me to. Are you doing a collection and unboxing video on yours?
Henry makes these car reviews feel special.
This man better not ever stop making videos.

I never want the videos to end. Art, emotion, and excellence in every minute. Please make content for as long as you can, the car world needs you to.
The 17kg saved on the wheels is massive... I imagine that makes a huge difference in handling, especially on bumpy surfaces. Excellent review!
Will help acceleration quite a bit too! Like you say thats a lot of weight!!!
@@WeirdBrick
Its not a lot of weight. Only about 50 or 60 pounds.
CCX R you clearly don’t understand the principle behind removing weight from unsprung mass...
Cinematography kind of rivals Top Gear even! Love your work! Amazing car this. McLaren is the one to watch in super cars nowadays.
Driving a car that like that is all about emotion and I think you have conveyed that very well, it gave me chills!
Beautifully presented and shot video
Damn. Track portions are heroic. Hats off to Henry, the entire crew, and the Hungaroring.
What an amazing review and such an incredible car 😍
Simply the best car review channel on UA-cam... Carfection videos keep getting better. Keep it up guys, you're the best.

this guy makes the best automotive videos on youtube really on so many aspects
Initially was waiting for the dulcet tones of Henrys voice ,Sooo happy to hear them, LOVE your videos ,Intangibly wonderful, THANK YOU

Really good writing, presenting, and cinematography as usual.
Henry and all involved in this... top work! You guys and girls at Carfection are making stunning content. 👍🏽
You guys produce car reviews that is absolutely world class. You guys should be as big as top gear or grand tour if not bigger
The best automotive reviews..... I love Carfection.
Awesome video, the cinematography from CarFection is THE BEST!
Well done, Henry! Well done!
Great video guys. You really are the best in the business right now.
New dream car! Nardo grey and orange details OMG!
Another hit, Henry. Great work!
The benefit of saving a kilo from deleting the glove box is not so much in the kilo saving itself, it is that you can no longer put anything in it so you save even more!
I love that the wing has a ceramic coating in the middle to stop the exhaust flames melting it!

Great review. Love that car 👍
Great car and great production! Epic content!
Favorite car.
Favorite presenter.
BTW, nice watch Henry!
Well done Henry
So glad they put Henry on this, this car seems like a 'drivers car' home run
Perfect video for a perfect car.
Cheers Carfection
Some of the best car cinematography in the game
i see him..in carfection..i press like ...and then...watch video..as always...osm video

Great, high quality video. Thank you.
Thumbs up for the music alone

I would keep the air conditioning in
Mr too you have to comfortable in any car
And the Audio/sat nav
@@guardisto I believe it's one of those free options to have them placed in the car. Porsche does the same with it's infotainment system etc. Not in the car by default but free to spec if wanted
You have two options.
1. Regular air conditioning
2. Less air conditioning (that’s how Mclaren words it)
Bsck in the day when i was just 26 years old new 92 acura gsr no air just windows down 100mph give me this car 200 mph Windows down
Henry another awesome review more please (and perhaps some more 'real world' car reviews wouldn't go amiss).
what a treat
In the video description above it states he has taken the car out on track in Portugal?!! Really come on Carfection!!! Hungaroring is in Hungary!!!!
Catchpole, what a legendary bloke
Absolutely incredible review and car but not enough exhaust flame footage
They should at least made the AirCon optionally available (I hope).... great review Henry. 👍👍👍

600LT over the Senna every day of the week!!! Epic production guys 👍🏼
You're the best out there, Henry. Would love to see you join Chris Harris on TopGear.
So is this on par with the Hurracan Performante and 911 GT2 RS?
Great vid!
Nice car and a great reviewer.
This is good and all, but what I am waiting for is, 750 LT and the replacement for P1.
Ravi Rajyaguru There is no P1 replacement, only Senna and Speedtail. Both are the pinnacles of the company, but neither of them are actual successors for P1.
There'll be a direct successor to the P1 in 2023...
I reckon you maybe waiting a while as the 720s LT variant could potentially upset a few other Mclaren owners!

McLaren has done it, again.
I take it that you can spec things like air con and sat nav back in as with a Porsche Gt car?
Can't help to ask: Can the A/C be added as an option? :)

Great review, but I do have to wonder why brakes go "bang" XD 8:45
Is that Helios Orange or Mayan Orange?
I would love to know whats your daily drive
