Yeah basically the story begins wjth planet 4546B and its under quarantine because of a rabid infection that is taking ahold of the planet (ahem). A ship called the Aurora comes by and tries to use its gravity as a slingshot to move faster around planets. The ship gets shot down by ab alien turret, the turret does not like visitors to come by because of the said infection. The infection is called the Kahraa and causes large green spots on a host, in late stages it causes skin to shift into a dark horrible purple. Lifepods where sent out of the ship and land on the ocean planet. 25 launch successfully but within the first 8 hours, everyone who survived the crash died, accept you, the player. You make do with ths resources at your disposal and form a stable home and vehicles and all sorts of things, visiting life-pods and going progressively deeper down into the sea. After ingame months of work, you make it down to the Lava Lakes and Lava Zone. Down there over 1000+ below sea level, you find horrifying creatures and alien research centres like mazes. After time, you find a base that has a huge creature in containment, still living. The Sea Emperor, the only being imune to Kahraa. The last of their race, the Sea Emperor requests the player for a few items to allow her eggs to hatch. After obtaining the items, the babies hatch and the Sea Emperor dies. The children release an Enzyme that cures the disease. After saving the planet, you build a rocket and escape the planet once and for all. The End.

This game is SO AMAZING. Devs, please keep at it! Everything about this game is pure _win_ - gorgeous graphics and aesthetics, depth, broad exploration area, and a beautiful soundtrack that just _exudes_ the sounds of the various ocean biomes, reminiscent of the music from the old Sega Genesis game Ecco: The Tides of Time. It's so good I'd even be willing re-buy the full-version once the game is completed; _that's_ how good this game is. Please keep doing exactly what you're doing, and thank you for an awesome, engaging, addictive, and unique experience!
The AI is extremely well done. The way the fish swim away when you can and how they retreat when getting shocked by the electromagnetic defense is amazing.
I'm so proud of you Subnautica devs, you're one of the most creative and active teams I have ever seen and I know I'll see more great things in the future. Also I hope the sales for Xbox One and Ps4 go...swimmingly :)
This is coming along brilliantly. I played it a bit last summer and loved it. I decided to shelve it and wait for release before picking it back up. Looks like it might not be too far off.

You can really see that the developers put their heart and soul into improving this game. This game is a goddam masterpiece. It is GORGEOUS, not only on it's graphics, but on the planet itself. Plants and animals are all unique and beautiful. You guys are doing an amazing jo
I like the new lighting system, especially that it gets darker the deeper you go. Hopefully we'll be able to have some more customization with our base lighting later on (spotlights, changing color for specific aquarium habitats, etc...).
I am very happy that you guys are the developers of this game. You listen to the community, you work so hard to make it as fun and original as possible, and I thank you guys for all your hard work!
With the exception of the few million people that understand a good game doesn't force multiplayer or single player it gives the option of either and they have failed to do that while exaggerating romantic sunsets that have no point in being "Romantic" if you are unable to play it with a spouse through as much as the choice not forced multiplayer not forced single player games like dying light, left 4 dead, pay day 2, even recent star wars games and many more have understood you can make a game built for both multiplayer and single player but giving the option to the player instead of forcing the decision for them this is one reason I have been beyond burnt out on a game that has so much potential it would be another A+ game if they could learn from others that have succeded in the one place this fell short, altogether it is a great game that is missing the heart.
@@joewatkins6431 Subnautica multiplayer would work wonderfully! But I disagree with you about games forcing multiplayer/singleplayer. Some games wouldn't really work with multiplayer, and some wouldn't work with singleplayer. Also, devs have a limited budget and focus on the part of the game they want.

At least until I realized that I wasn't feeling as fully immersed in the world due to the lack of connection I started to faze out and get stuck doing the same menial task until eventually I found myself bored and with such a great game that made me sad in a way because it's not a bad game by any means but being alone the whole time just made me realize how much more Immersive it could actually be just by creating the option to play with or without friends but alas you are right when it come s to game budgets and while subnautica is a great game I don't think it has the budget required to make that transition and even if they did from the post's they have been sending out they have no interest in a multiplayer subnautica

The difference between the updates for Subnautica is that, while they may not seem like HUGE updates, they are definitely substantial and represent core features of the game (scanner). They even overhauled the ocean graphics ( I never even thought of that xD ). Nice job guys. I'm definitely going to have to jump back in and see if I don't pussy out halfway down to the REALLY dark depths. Cheers! Also, the damn music in this game is Five-Star quality!

To anyone who wants multiplayer or space exploration: 1. Multiplayer would mean, that you had to code a lot of things new, like servers, or who could enter a base and who not. They would have to give the player a head, because right now, its just nothing. If you go to freecam mode, you will see yourself standing there with no head. And thats just one of the many things! 2. Subnautica is about deep sea exploration, not flying spacecrafts.
Beautiful graphics! I'm obsessed with this game, it started off great and you guys just keep setting the bar higher. I love how this game appeals to both men and women in its playthrough and build/puzzle challenge. I'd like to request a marine mammal here or there if you would be willing to consider it. I've been wanting for them to put in a scanning system in for so long since it's a perfect use for it here. Ever since Metroid Prime did it and an open world with optional scannable creatures and story (lore from an alien race scattered across the world).
Great! Now , it would be cool to have some more fauna focused update! And we are able to turn off that little text which appears when we discover new things , right?
The new visuals are insanly good, I just wished the clouds wouldn't just rotate around the center of the map but actually change and fly west-east or something. Also, I feel like the bigger moon is way too close and looks somewhat too...3D-ish. It feels like the moon is hovering some 200 meters above the surface, and even though it looks amazing, it feels wrong.

Didn't realise scanning was in H2O.
The new visuals are insanly good, I just wished the clouds wouldn't just rotate around the center of the map but actually change and fly west-east or something. Also, I feel like the bigger moon is way too close and looks somewhat too...3D-ish.
It feels like the moon is hovering some 200 meters above the surface, and even though it looks amazing, it feels wrong.
Definitely one of the few early access games i'm so happy i bought.
