Ive always thought this should of been the start of the game. Somewhat like Fallout, start out, meet everyone in your block of the ship, get faces with the crewmen youll "find" later on where their pods are ripped apart, no bodies to be found, only their PDAs. This would add a sense of attachment, familiarity to everyone, that your not alone on the ship, for it to be suddenly ripped apart, then being absolutely alone.
This is actually a genius idea I never thought about. Hearing the last moments of the people you met on the ship on the recorded PDA messages would hit much harder. It would also make it more believable that some of them might actually be alive and make you have a sliver of hope of maybe finding one of them. It could even introduce us to some of the tools in the game earlier to show off their utility, like the propulsion cannon.
Yeah the way this game started in very early development, there was no way they’d end up with that They modeled Riley’s face and you never see it, the game was so poorly optimized at the beginning that even higher quality pcs would struggle to run it at more than 30fps It was definitely not the same quality of development as it is now, no chance we got other faces and a whole beginning scene for the game that wouldn’t last that long
0:59 Lifepods 17-24. It’s quite possible that the man who was running just ahead of us was either Ozzy from the Cafeteria or Second Officer Keen. Since this is very soon after the explosion, I’m inclined to think it was Ozzy. Unless Keen was abandoning ship very early on Captain “Hot-Dog” Hollister’s orders, I doubt it’s him.
it wasnt ozzy or officer keen because when camera man enters the lifepods room we can see the door of lifepod No 21 closes this mean that man who runned trough the hall run into capsule No 21 and we cant find this capsule in game so fate of capsule No 21 and man insaide is unknown

They should make a Subnautica movie at this point. It would be a cool sci-fi horror movie where we can see all the lifepods getting destroyed one by one. And maybe we could have a few segments in the tragical life of the Degasi survivors too.
That was so good! I’ve been waiting to see something related to what happened on the Aurora. This is such an underrated channel honestly. Total w for the subnautica community.

Since the first time I played the game, Ive always wanted to watch something like that, and its just incredible ! I'd just darken the lights a little when the alarm goes off, but its a masterpiece anyway 🤩
What bothered me the most about the Aurora was that once I truely boarded it, I purposly equiped my inventory full with fireextinglisher and I killed inside all fires I came across just to notice as soon as I returned there again that all fires were again burning ...
You can extinguish fire completely, when the fire is gone, normally you can see an orange light with few particles, extinguish it till it disappear, it won't take fire again, but in some room like the reactor, there's weird effect because fire lighting on the wall aren't made by fire, so the light stay when the fire in gone lmao
We need Subnautica analog horror like this, as well as more in game pre-crash content. Maybe an intro scene (like in Below Zero) just like this where the player does a few things around the ship then escapes.
possibly, but i think if it showed what the Aurora was hit by it might ruin the kinda finding out of stuff? like if we saw the green beam from the cannon it might prompt us to look for it? just a thought tho
Pretty good video ngl, although, I don't think that the camera quality would have been this bad so far into the future, I would have gotten the whole 'quality VHS' thing if this was maybe around 1980-2016, but this far in the future, I think footage would be way advanced. Excellent, I just have one minor complaint. One of the stairways in the Prawn Suit Bay became blocked by a table and a pile of crates sometime after the explosion. Yet here there are only one or two visible in the bay. Either someone survived the crash and piled them there in some sort of attempt to barricade, or they just magically appear there to block Ryley (our game character) later on.
Its interesting that the quarantine enforcement platfrom shot down the aurora and that the ship from before which was shot down the degasi, didn't send specific information on the weapon. The gun eventully would shoot down the Sunbeam giving the quarantine enforcement platform 4 ship kills if you count mercury 2 in subnautica below zero as a victim of the enforcement platform which would crash in the south of the planet where below zero takes place.
Ryley tale remembers me the Fifth Book of Hitchhikers Guide of the Galaxy: Arthur Dent is the only survivor of a big starship crash 💥 because he was the sole being on all the galaxy to previously read a lifepod emergency ‼️ manual 😂 to evacuate the ship properly
