What a beautiful serve and forehand... honestly, this guy could have been N° 1 if he had taken care of himself a bit more.

In my mind if I were creating the perfect player it would be Federer with Nalbandian's backhand

He was so talented. How did he not win a major? Hope Nishikori doesn't go down in the same vain as him; all the ability in the word, but can't quite piece it all together to win a grand slam. That was a picture perfect 2 handed backhand Nalbandian was working with though.

well it is not a coincidence that his best results in slams came in the early stages of his career when his fitness was not an issue...later on it became a problem and he just could not compete best of 5 sets on a high level round after round....not fit enough at the same time means not confident enough

He didn't win a major because he wasn't able to focus all of the time the way the big 3 can. He has said as much before. He didn't have a huge weapon to just win points easily with, so he had to build points kind of grind out matches to win. That's tough to do for 7 matches in a row, beat of 5 sets. Especially if you have to beat guys with more firepower.

Gran jugador Nalbandian, gran talento, pudo haber ganado un GS o haber sido numero 1 si hubiera tenido un mejor servicio y menos lesiones pero que lindo era su tenis, para mi el mejor revés a dos manos de todos
