If you're only going to 15 ft, can you leave the slip ring at the top with the winch extended or should you still put a bolt through even though you are not lowering the slip ring? Awesome, genius design from the bottom instead of pulleys at top!

What was the "Pin Puller" thing, that you use at 2:30?
The "Pin Puller" is a tube with a 3/16" wire inside of it configured to hold and release the pin so you don't have to stand on a ladder .
Can you please share the specs on making this? What size pipes how did you make the brackets etc... thanks!
