These shoes have managed to check all the boxes for me! Enough cushion for longer runs, responsive enough for when you want to push the tempo, available in a wide fit where it’s wide at the forefoot but snug in the midfoot and heel, and the wide fit was available in not-so-boring colors. I had not worn Mizuno running shoes before but I could not be happier and might even get a second pair just in case. Previously, I wore the NB 1080v12 also in wide, but I found the mid foot and heel to be a little too roomy for my foot; a runner’s knot helped with that but then until I developed a gripe about the max cushion outsole’s lack of responsiveness. It has become a really good walking shoe for me though.
Last month, I purchased the Mizuno Wave Sky 8, and just a few days ago, I received the New Balance 1080 V14. When I compare both shoes side by side, it is evident that the 1080 V14 has a higher stack than the Sky 8. The 1080 V14 offers more cushioning, softer foam, and better bounce compared to the Sky 8. I am puzzled by the official specifications from Mizuno stating a 41mm heel stack for the Sky 8, while the 1080 V14 is listed at 38mm.
Bro the fit in New Balance I am 7.5 uk size will it be the same in these mizuno I am ready to buy I just want to know your thoughts Thank in advance :)
